Pokemon lets go is the best way to play gen 1, catching pokemon feels great, graphics are incredible, controls are decent, Seeing pokemon in the overworld is a great addition which I hope stays in the main line games, You cannot use the pro controller which is a minor downside, Your starter cannot evolve which is kinda sad, but it stays true to pokemon yellow. I give this game a 10/10.

Una good way to re-explore the Kanto region with new cute and very colourful graphics. The mechanics of capturing pokémon are the ones used in Pokémon Go, but it’s a very enjoyable game.

This is easily the worst Pokémon game I have ever had the displeasure of playing. They changed the catching mechanic so that it's like Pokémon GO (which works fine on mobile but not on console), they got rid of EV's and replaced them with AV's or some useless **** and the game is painfully easy. I'm not expecting anything super difficult, but I could beat this game with 4 broken limbs. IThis is easily the worst Pokémon game I have ever had the displeasure of playing. This is the absolute worst Pokémon game they have ever made. I literally created an account just to leave a review, that is how much I hate this game. I will keep the review as short as I can while still getting my point across.

The endgame ruins the experience for me. After beating the Elite 4, there is nothing to do after except go catch Mewtwo, fight Green, and then you have what are called "master trainers." This is the absolute worst idea in the franchise. Without going into too much detail, beating them is so frustrating and not rewarding in any way. Grinding levels in this game is slower than ever, and grinding candy is beyond frustrating. The new system where you don't battle wild pokémon was weird and off-putting at first, but it isn't horrible. What IS horrible, is how frustrating the actual mechanics are. To put it simply, the motion controls DO NOT WORK. I cannot tell you how many times I went to throw one way, and the ball flies in the literal opposite direction. On top of all that, your chances of catching pokémon never gets any easier no matter what streak you have, or how many of that species you have caught before.

Playing beyond the elite 4 is zero fun. Catching pokémon is frustrating and zero fun. The master trainers are broken, use cheap mechanics, and zero fun to beat. The rival is pathetic, lame, and zero fun to interact with. Even when you unlock the ability to "fly" on your pokémon, you still are constantly going into menus to go through gates instead of being able to fly easily between cities. The game leaves you with an empty, frustrated feeling. Eevee is cute and fun to interact with, that is the only reason I am not giving the game a 0/10.
Screw this game, an absolute waste of money and has ensured that I will not buy another pokémon game on the Switch.

Great pokemon game to introduce new fans to.

though sw/sh arent good games to be eased in to. pla is tho

This is probably the worst way to play the original Generation 1 games today. As cool as it is that they're on the Switch now, The minor enhancements really don't warrant it.

The game is a nice complement to the other games that have implemented some good qualities, as the game is a remake of a kanto game, it seems a bit dated and fussing that we can not get anything else and the love always goes to their first child, in my play it got bad and slow when you got further in the story and it ended with I stopped all day it did not give me anything to play it

My favorite pokemon game, i love that it lets you use the pokemon you caught in so many different ways to interact with your environment, it feels very natural in the ways you can catch a pokemon take it out of it's PokeBall and ride it or fly on it. It is such a great feature that it has made this game my favorite. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i think eerybody who played the game had mixed feelings at the start of the game , the type of feeling that you feel that the game isnt too good but you keep playing because it is pokemon , but tbh this is the third best pokemon game of the switch i 'll explain why.

    1. the capture mechanic , similar to pokemon go but the difference is that you actually "throw " the pokeball to capture instead of swiping with your finger , you may think that doesn't make huge difference but i can guarantee you it does , it is way more interactive and way funnier , the only down on the catch mechanic is in the handle mode of the switch , i think they should've use the touch of the screen to capture in handle mode.

    2. the supposed "lack of battles" i think every person who is into the world of pokemon games , already heard some fan saying that some specific game has a lot or a less in terms of trainer battles , and in this game i think it has the perfect ammount , since the new catching mechanic is the best way to get xp , the pokemon battles only serve for money and pokeballs .

    3. pokemons spawns , tbh the pokemon spawns in this game are really horrible , i have 40 hours of the game and i captured a lot of pokemons , specially pokemons that i saw that i didnt had in the dex because they give you more xp and i never saw and oddish , shelder , only saw two pikachus , and you may say that they spawn in specific routes as we all know but every EVERY grass has only ratatas and pidgey , you have to wait sometimes more than 10 minutes to spawn something different , not to mention the fact that some good pokemons only spawn in the end routes like poliwhirl , poliwhirl literally spawns in the games to the victory road , magma only spawns in the 7th gym location aswell weezing and koffing that makes impossible to make a team that you have in mind because they spawn way to late in the game which causes the pokemon to have like 10-20 levels below yours , "but you can use pokemon go to transfer" it ain't worth it , a pokemon with 2100 cp in pokemon go will give you level 25 in the game plus you only unlock the go park in fuschia city which by that time you already have your pokemons level 35+ .

    4. the pokemon moves , if you want to have pokemon moves you need or to spend all of your money in tms instead of pokeballs which causes less xp , or wait until the victory road that is when you can get all the tms , "but why tms " because of the fact that the pokemons DON'T learn moves , i only learned one move on ninetales by leveling up , only 1 on golem , NONE in kingler and only the first moves in eevee , you end up with the moves that the guy on the pokecenter gave you for eevee .

the game is funny after you understand how to use the catch mechanic , story gameplay etc nothing about it its a pokemon yellow remake but it is a MAXIMUM 7.

This game scream mediocrity. Looking back you can real tell this was the last straw for the acceptance of stale Pokémon games, SWSH was just the tipping point. The new catching mechanic is different which is nice and the graphics are "good enough."

es el juego de pokemon que más me ha gustado de Nintendo switch, aunque haya sido un refrito lo terminé disfrutando de todas formas, hubiera mejorado si no quitaban las islas y que opcionalmente se pudiera combatir contra los Pokémon salvajes

This game is great but the lack of pro controller support and badly tracking of joycons, makes controlling the game and catching pokemons feeling very bad, if that huge problem were to be fixed one day, the game would have been a 10/10, since the controls destroy the experience, I give it a 7

Let's go, Eevee! is not a game that tries to reinvent the Pokémon series. It is what it is promoted as: another Kanto game. Un gioco gradevole ma che taglia tanti contenuti rispetto al precedente remake rosso fuoco, sistema di combattimento con selvatici da rivedere totalmente. La semplificazione delle lotte rimuovendo le abilità è un peccato.

1 Removing wild battles really sucks, they somewhat make up for it by adding a lot more trainer battles but trainer battles get really annoying when you're just trying to pass through a route at least with wild battles you can run away.

2 Catching is pretty annoying and i hate that if a pokemon runs away it brakes your catch combo also reloading your game brakes them as well which

3 XP gain is super slow, in other games it's not a big deal having slow XP gain but that's because you have wild battles which this game doesn't have which really really sucks also when a pokemon gains more then one level the text goes through ever level rather then just skipping the the level it ended up at.

4 Over world pokemon are pretty annoying, with how tight some routes are they end up blocking your way a lot of the time they also lag the game in some places, this game also marked the beginning of the end for random grass encounters which really sucks as i much rather have random grass encounters over over world pokemon any day.

Get FireRed, LeafGreen, HeartGold, SoulSilver, or even Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal instead. They are on better consoles, they are less than half the price, and they literally have more conent than Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee.

Overall, I did have a blast playing Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee. I did like visiting all the cities of the original Pokémon games again and seeing all the original Pokémon. However, I really did not like how they changed how you capture Pokémon and I did not like the setup of the Pokémon boxes. For those who want to play this game for nostalgia reasons, I would recommend waiting until a sale comes out before purchasing. For newcomers to Pokémon, this is a really good introduction into the world of Kanto.

It’s hard to make sense of the game that’s basically a Switch port of iOS/Android remake of Pokemon Red/Green. Is it a step forward, step backward – or maybe just a shameless cash-in? Turns out, it’s a great remake – the world looks exactly as we imagined it back when we were staring at black and white pixels of original Red/Green. [Issue#235, p.44]
