May 3, 2021Battle for Neighborville: Complete Edition is a fun, colorful, silly game with a good amount of content to keep the player busy. While the game is older, this updated version is the obvious choice for fans of the series and newcomers alike.

Mar 23, 2021Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition is really a great game, but the lack of local split-screen multiplayer definitely makes it feel less than complete especially when the other consoles do have it. The story is a lot of fun and If you were just looking to play online then this game is definitely worth checking out.

Mar 19, 2021Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville for Nintendo Switch is a really good port, in a technical level, of a fun shooter. It has a good diversity of game modes for single and multiplayer, and a charming art style. We do regret, however, that the game launches on Switch after EA abandoned the game on other platforms.

Mar 22, 2021Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville brings a fun and addictive online multiplayer mode to Nintendo Switch, which is definitely worth it. We can see low resolution on certain occasions, although it is still a highly recommended and totally enjoyable title.

Apr 8, 2021Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is brimming with content, both offline and multiplayer online. Even if you are only interested in one of the two, you'll find plenty to do. The port to Switch can be considered a success, as only the local co-op split screen seems to be missing. It's quite a feat to pack this much content into one package.

Mar 30, 2021It’s not the best way to enjoy it, but if you don’t mind the blurry visuals and reduced performance then the Switch version of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is just about as good as any other. The biggest downside is the absence of split-screen co-op, which is understandable but disappointing nonetheless. Still, with the core gameplay intact and all post-launch content included, this is one of the best shooters currently available on Switch without any doubt. And even better, it’s suitable for all ages and skill levels.
-
Mar 22, 2021If you’re looking for a family-friendly multiplayer shooter on the Switch, make sure to check this one out. It doesn’t shine on the technical side as much as on the other platforms, but it still plays great.
-
Mar 19, 2021Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville comes to Nintendo Switch, with a really great conversion.
-
Mar 29, 2021A game that is best enjoyed on its multiplayer portion, and that's the first Frostbite Engine game on Nintendo Switch. Maybe you'll be missing anything new compared with the rest of the versions out there, that are already a year and a half old, but it's an extraordinary option if you are looking for an action game completely family friendly.
-
Apr 26, 2021All in all Plants vs. Zombies - Battle for Neighborville is a worthy timesink if you’re looking for a fun, lighthearted multiplayer shooter. It has its issues running on the Switch but there’s nothing game-breaking. Though its single-player offerings may quickly wilt, you’re still likely to find yourself digging this one up time and time again.
-
Apr 1, 2021Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville opens the door for Switch users wanting to get into the competitive shooter genre. Still, everything is fairly standard here, which is best when experienced in short bursts. The hardware limitations creep up every once in a while, but overall this is a worthy port of a charming competitive shooter.

Mar 24, 2021Overall, I had a really fun time with Battle for Neighborville and still feel like I only scratched the surface on the amount of gameplay and replayability the game offers. If you’re looking for an easy pickup and play title with some fun and chaotic third-person shooter gameplay, then Battle for Neighborville is a great choice for you. However, if you’re looking for a deep story or are turned off by “childish” writing, then it might be best to avoid picking this game up. While I think this game is great for any age, I would definitely recommend picking this up for a child old enough to get into a shooter, but too young for more mature games like Call of Duty or Apex Legends — if they like Splatoon, they’ll like Battle for Neighborville!

Mar 19, 2021For its part, therefore, the Nintendo Switch version offers a more timeless title thanks to the addition of an Offline mode which may no doubt appeal to younger players. The portable aspect of Nintendo's hybrid console is also a plus that shouldn't be taken lightly, especially as Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville allows for short play sessions.

Mar 19, 2021Not a bad port, and it takes advantage of Frostbite engine, so it's interesting if you like the Plants vs Zombies series, and you hadn't the opportunity to play the game in another platform.
