Battle for Neighborville: Complete Edition is a fun, colorful, silly game with a good amount of content to keep the player busy. While the game is older, this updated version is the obvious choice for fans of the series and newcomers alike.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition is really a great game, but the lack of local split-screen multiplayer definitely makes it feel less than complete especially when the other consoles do have it. The story is a lot of fun and If you were just looking to play online then this game is definitely worth checking out.

Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville for Nintendo Switch is a really good port, in a technical level, of a fun shooter. It has a good diversity of game modes for single and multiplayer, and a charming art style. We do regret, however, that the game launches on Switch after EA abandoned the game on other platforms.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville brings a fun and addictive online multiplayer mode to Nintendo Switch, which is definitely worth it. We can see low resolution on certain occasions, although it is still a highly recommended and totally enjoyable title.

Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is brimming with content, both offline and multiplayer online. Even if you are only interested in one of the two, you'll find plenty to do. The port to Switch can be considered a success, as only the local co-op split screen seems to be missing. It's quite a feat to pack this much content into one package.

It’s not the best way to enjoy it, but if you don’t mind the blurry visuals and reduced performance then the Switch version of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is just about as good as any other. The biggest downside is the absence of split-screen co-op, which is understandable but disappointing nonetheless. Still, with the core gameplay intact and all post-launch content included, this is one of the best shooters currently available on Switch without any doubt. And even better, it’s suitable for all ages and skill levels.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly multiplayer shooter on the Switch, make sure to check this one out. It doesn’t shine on the technical side as much as on the other platforms, but it still plays great.

A game that is best enjoyed on its multiplayer portion, and that's the first Frostbite Engine game on Nintendo Switch. Maybe you'll be missing anything new compared with the rest of the versions out there, that are already a year and a half old, but it's an extraordinary option if you are looking for an action game completely family friendly.

All in all Plants vs. Zombies - Battle for Neighborville is a worthy timesink if you’re looking for a fun, lighthearted multiplayer shooter. It has its issues running on the Switch but there’s nothing game-breaking. Though its single-player offerings may quickly wilt, you’re still likely to find yourself digging this one up time and time again.

Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville opens the door for Switch users wanting to get into the competitive shooter genre. Still, everything is fairly standard here, which is best when experienced in short bursts. The hardware limitations creep up every once in a while, but overall this is a worthy port of a charming competitive shooter.

Overall, I had a really fun time with Battle for Neighborville and still feel like I only scratched the surface on the amount of gameplay and replayability the game offers. If you’re looking for an easy pickup and play title with some fun and chaotic third-person shooter gameplay, then Battle for Neighborville is a great choice for you. However, if you’re looking for a deep story or are turned off by “childish” writing, then it might be best to avoid picking this game up. While I think this game is great for any age, I would definitely recommend picking this up for a child old enough to get into a shooter, but too young for more mature games like Call of Duty or Apex Legends — if they like Splatoon, they’ll like Battle for Neighborville!

For its part, therefore, the Nintendo Switch version offers a more timeless title thanks to the addition of an Offline mode which may no doubt appeal to younger players. The portable aspect of Nintendo's hybrid console is also a plus that shouldn't be taken lightly, especially as Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville allows for short play sessions.

Battle for Neighborville is a solid entry in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, but it does feel like a step back from Garden Warfare 2 as it’s short on PvP modes and he adventure side is slim. The wide variety of characters to unlock is pretty fantastic the numerous skins are relatively cool even if they don’t alter gameplay, but I’m not sure that it’s enough to keep players online for long.

While I can’t say Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a bad game, it might not be a very good Switch game.

This isn’t a perfect port to Nintendo Swich, but it’s certainly an impressive one considering the game’s size and Plants vs. Zombies remains as fun to play as it ever was. If you’re looking for a fun hero shooter with plenty of content to sink your teeth into (no zombie-related pun intended) then Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition might just be the game for you.

The Nintendo Switch version of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville maintains its light-hearted soul, made of harmless action, delusional weapons and absurd characters.

Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition is one of the better shooters on Nintendo Switch, with tons of content and modes to play around in. The framerate isn't great, and the lack of two-player split-screen is a shame, though.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a shooter for all ages, from the most seasoned in titles like Battlefield, Call of Duty, or Overwatch, to the newcomers who see their great opportunity to take on a shooter like their parents or older siblings. This Complete Edition brings new content to the game which makes it highly rewarding having it's place in the market taken back to where it belongs. Although the port is not 100% up to par in the visual field, it guarantees infinite hours of gameplay filled with pure joy and competition. It becomes more than clear: plants and zombies are lifelong enemies.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition more than lives up to its name. A huge amount of content, lots of replayability, and an overall charming aesthetic make this an easy recommendation for anybody looking for a solid new shooter for their Switch. That said, just bear in mind that it often runs into performance issues and that the single-player offering can prove to be a little repetitive in the long run. If you can get past those issues, this release will surely prove to be worth both your time and money.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a fairly generic team shooter that doesn’t take advantage of its strengths. While there’s a lot to do in single player it’s fairly shallow and the multiplayer modes don’t bring anything new to the table.

Players likely already know what they're in for the third Plants vs. Zombies hero shooter, and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville makes the jump to Nintendo hardware mostly unscathed. This is the same game players on Xbox and PlayStation have had since 2019, and it works wonderfully in both docked and portable configurations. While the game doesn't reach the heights of Garden Warfare 2, Neighborville presents a bountiful harvest of colorful warfare that's hard to pass up.

Fans of online shooters aren't missing much by not playing Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville - Complete Edition, but, truth be told, this is far from a bad game, as long as your expectations aren't very high. Plus, this Complete Edition, is exactly that - very complete, with lots of things to do, whether that's different modes, missions, or character classes.

It’s all a far cry from the roots of Plants vs. Zombies as a tower defense title, and in some ways, yes, I do miss that. This was, to me, the ideal tower defense game, and I would have played many many sequels of it to great enjoyment. Neighborville makes the shooter transition solidly and competently, joining the sea of shooter games out there.

Unless you really want to see an ear of walking corn fire machine gun rounds at a zombie dressed as a football player, Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville is far from the best option for a multiplayer shooter on the Switch.

Not a bad port, and it takes advantage of Frostbite engine, so it's interesting if you like the Plants vs Zombies series, and you hadn't the opportunity to play the game in another platform.
