While it failed to grab me the first time around, the second time has been a charm: Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is a great, brave effort to do more with this classic gaming icon than simply rehash and rerelease emulated versions of its heyday. With its quick-fire modes it’s also an absolutely perfect fit for the Switch – and well worth it’s downloadable-only price of entry.

Horrible horrible frame rate lag , terrible stutter, even worse joypad/con lag in both undocked mode, and unforgivibly..noticably worse in docked mode, in a game that 60fps is a precision requirement.
This is a seriously flawed port. such a shame as I have the ps4 version too which I bought the switch version off the strength of that one.
Casuals will probably disagree and wonder why i gave it a low score, but high score arcade junkies and hardcore gamers will understand why this stinking mess means its impossible to attempt any serious score in this port.
The gameplay mechanics is is the only redeeming factor that gives it a 3 score for anyone wanting to play the best Pac man since championship deluxe (a masterpiece).
Stating 'but it's on switch so it's on the go' is not an excuse.
If your the next budding Billy Mitchell, go get the ps4 version.

It's a shame, since portability could make this excellent title better, but there better be a patch soon. Full Review »

I just got this game on the Switch and I completed the tutorial first because I've never played this version of Pac-Man before. I then playedI just got this game on the Switch and I completed the tutorial first because I've never played this version of Pac-Man before. I then played both Time Attack and Adventure modes and I had so much fun! I haven't played the multiplayer mode yet but I can't imagine how much fun that would be as well. Another user here is complaining about the framerate, I've played the game for more than 3 hours so far and I have not seen any framerate dips whatsoever or any performance issues. The game plays amazingly well and it looks great. There's a lot of content and the replayability is endless. I highly recommend it. Full Review »
