Frame rate issues IN PAC-MAN. The game ran perfectly fine on PS4, but the stutters here are inexcusable, seeing that more demanding games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe run perfectly. It's a shame, since portability could make this excellent title better, but there better be a patch soon.

I just got this game on the Switch and I completed the tutorial first because I've never played this version of Pac-Man before. I then played both Time Attack and Adventure modes and I had so much fun! I haven't played the multiplayer mode yet but I can't imagine how much fun that would be as well. The game plays amazingly well and it looks great. There's a lot of content and the replayability is endless. I highly recommend it. Expand

10/10 The best version yet of Pac-man. Fast, furious action and music, Boss fights, 3D sequences and an awesome all new co-op mode for the Nintendo Switch!

Horrible horrible frame rate lag , terrible stutter, even worse joypad/con lag in both undocked mode, and unforgivibly..noticably worse in docked mode, in a game that 60fps is a precision requirement. This is a seriously flawed port. such a shame as I have the ps4 version too which I bought the switch version off the strength of that one. Casuals will probably

Casuals will probably disagree and wonder why i gave it a low score, but high score arcade junkies and hardcore gamers will understand why this stinking mess means its impossible to attempt any serious score in this port.
The gameplay mechanics is is the only redeeming factor that gives it a 3 score for anyone wanting to play the best Pac man since championship deluxe (a masterpiece).
Stating 'but it's on switch so it's on the go' is not an excuse.
If your the next budding Billy Mitchell, go get the ps4 version.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is exactly what you'd expect, fast and exhilarating gameplay. I recommend this game for anyone who enjoys arcade games all about the score.

Hectic, fast-paced, challenging, demanding, and a whole lot of fun -- Pac-Man: Championship Edition 2+ keeps the spirit of the series alive. A heady, fast and fun revisitation of one of the most iconic videogames ever.

PROS: - LIKE PAC-MAN ON HIGH: Between the 80s neon lights, the banging electro music, and the insane speed, this game really takes you to the zone. - WEIRDLY SATISFYING: The feeding frenzy when you slam at full speed into a "ghost train" can reach ASMR levels of gratification. - IT'S STILL PAC-MAN:
A heady, fast and fun revisitation of one of the most iconic videogames ever.

    PROS:

    - LIKE PAC-MAN ON HIGH: Between the 80s neon lights, the banging electro music, and the insane speed, this game really takes you to the zone.

    - WEIRDLY SATISFYING: The feeding frenzy when you slam at full speed into a "ghost train" can reach ASMR levels of gratification.

    - IT'S STILL PAC-MAN: This game and Pac-Man 99 prove that Pac-Man is a work of art–one of the few games from the early arcade era that lost nothing of its weird appeal in the last 40 or so years. This classic just needs a fresh coat of paint to return as addictive as ever.

    CONS:

    - A BIT SHALLOW: The adventure mode, score chases, and especially the co-op mode are all nice. However, I missed a mode with more sense of progression. Speaking of which…

    - ADVENTURE MODE IS ABSURDLY UNFAIR: The only mode that isn't a pure score chase feels like it's cheating on you. First, it's basically just a semi-random sequence of levels with very little feeling of an "adventure". Second, this mode turns nasty right at the end. What's the point in having a stars-based unlock system, if the last level suddenly changes all the rules to require *all* the stars in every single earlier level? Getting all the stars is an absurdly difficult task that the game never prepared you for, and should have been left to elite players and maybe achievement hunters–certainly not for the regular "ending".

Play Championship DX instead of this. You can get it on steam or xbox. Unfortunately, they still haven't ported DX to switch or ps4/5.
Anyways, Pacman Championship Edition 2 ruins everything that made championship edition dx great. Now it's just a mess. Don't play this.

addicting gameplay, fun stages, and a new really good multiplayer mode, 20$ is a steal! the only complaint is the frame rate, it drops sometimes, but other than that the game is amazing, absolutely worth it.

I love this game. It takes Pac-Man, a really good but slightly aged concept, and throws some amazing stuff into it. Dig Dug used to be my favorite high score game, but this definitely beats it out. Everything in this game is just so satisfying.

Besides the music. Y'all need better music.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is essentially an expanded version of its predecessor and one which does a very competent job at bringing the Pac-Man experience back, with all its frantically addictive gameplay that made the very first game an immortal classic, now with a cooperative multiplayer experience. While some more additions would be appreciated, this edition is certainly very welcome to the Nintendo Switch catalog, where it will find its place among the fans.

PMCE2+ is an excellent addition to the Switch eShop, not to mention a spectacular evolution of the Pac-Man franchise. A lot of games have legacies, as Nintendo fans know very well, but some of the older titles that pioneered the industry are either stuck in re-releases or not as engaging to today’s players. If PMCE2+ is proof of anything, it’s that with a little ingenuity, the core mechanics of these classics can easily appeal to a contemporary audience.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus takes an already fiendishly addictive arcade game and adds a fantastic multiplayer mode. At $20 it’s an impulse buy for any Switch owner.
