    Omno is a bit of a challenge to review in some regards, as on a general level it’s mechanically sound and actually provides for a nice and generally low-stakes adventure. You’re not directly given much in the way of direction to start, but with a basic understanding of how a typical action-adventure works and some experimentation you’ll quickly get up to speed. Aside from the controls perhaps being a little on the loose side, lacking a crispness you’d absolutely want and need if the action were a bit more demanding, it’s a pretty carefree affair and simply thoroughly pleasant. Alas, the rub is that I’d also say that in a crowded eShop there’s not much that makes it truly memorable, as it lacks the beating heart of a great story or the adrenaline rush of action that would help it make a greater lasting impression. That said, for a relatively short, sometimes visually stunning, and enjoyable romp, it provides a solid value for the price of admission.

    OMNO may bring a simple and rather short experience, but its gripping and accessible gameplay, gorgeous art style and ease of exploration will no doubt provide a welcome few hours for players looking for something more relaxing. Indeed while OMNO's simplicity might not be ideal for those looking for something very intense, anyone who wants to enjoy themselves with rather accessible puzzles and a charming world to explore will find in this game a lovely addition to their Nintendo Switch collection.

    Animation is the art of movement and Omno is clearly a work of art, but isn’t the masterpiece I was hoping it to be. Despite that, it is still an impressive feat. It is no surprise that the game reached three times its funding goal on Kickstarter. The game is beautiful and enjoyable. It brings new elements to the growing genre of peaceful games. I especially loved the long list of new creatures to interact with. However, minor details left me not quite falling head over heels.

    Omno is a short experience that provides a lot of satisfaction to completionists and casual gamers alike. It has a wonderful soundtrack to accompany the astonishingly well realised world that you’ll explore and complete puzzles in over the course of a single afternoon.
