    Old Man's Journey is an interesting work with a captivating plot and a magnificent visual component that will immerse its players in a unique experience. Its lifespan may feel too short but the quality of the game's design and the challenges presented will be more than welcome by the players and make Old Man's Journey a game that has gained its place in the growing catalog of the Nintendo Switch.

    All in all, I can't help but wanting more out of Old Man's Journey, which clashes with the game's point. It is a narrative-driven experience that ends when it needs to and doesn't leave any questions unanswered. That being said, the interaction isn't overly grand. Some puzzles are found along the way, but finding the gentleman's true purpose is what the journey is truly about. If it clicks with you, you will likely walk with the same appreciation I did. The message is truly wonderful, and that left me a little satisfied at the very least.

    Old Man’s Journey takes form as a simple and short point and click adventure, which doesn’t offer much variety when it comes to gameplay or puzzle design. Still, if a superb art style and poignant narrative is enough to keep you interested, then it’s definitely a worth acquisition.

    If you’re looking for something substantial in the gameplay department, Old Man’s Journey probably isn’t for you. Its main mechanic is neat, but it doesn’t build upon it and due to the lack of any surrounding substance, you’ll be left feeling short changed. But for those that connect with it, Old Man’s Journey will offer up a memorable experience that comes equipped with a meaningful message and a stunning graphical palette.

    Old Man's Journey is not as emotionally charged as its developer wants you to believe it is, but at least the landscapes that said old man will tread through are beautiful and fit like a glove with the vibe of each moment encountered. Unfortunately, what could be a nice and easy-going, if not a little forgettable, experience, turns into an hour and a half of boredom, due to the needless, and simplistic, puzzle-solving included.

    Interesting puzzle mechanic.

    Core mechanics never evolve or present any change through the game.
    Short with no replay-value.
    Too little interactions with the environment.

Before you play you have to wait way too long while your joystick gets used to something. I guess it’s own existence. Then you have to “orient the cursor” 2x which was tricky & annoying. But then it’s done right? No your pain has just begun. You have to do this EVERY time. I got so disgusted I gave up. How in 2023 are you making games where we have to do this? Other games, in fact every other game, have dealt with this in the development end. I got this on sale for $2 and I regret even spending that on this pile of crap. I made this account purely to review this game & hopefully you can spend your money more wisely than I did.… Full Review »
