Just created an account to rate this hidden gem and give the devs a little bit more exposure. If you like deck building, strategy and roguelites do yourself a favor and give it a try.

All these other reviews seem out of date, the devs have been great at fixing all the bugs! Loved my time with it, perfect game to play on the move!

All the bug in previous reviews have been fixed. Excellent game but I do agree the run lengths are very long which means mostly likely you won't start and finish one in a single sitting. Also the difficulty spike is huge between difficulty settings. With that said overall this is a great game in the genre and a solid 9 from me

Spent too many nights now up until 3am playing just 'one more turn'. A fantastic game with real thoughtful influences and references throughout. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, and any card game fan will do too!

Un très bon jeu Switch qui ravira tous les amateurs de deck-building malgré les quelques bugs qui ont accompagné sa sortie.

I fell in love with the setting completely, it's got real character! It's pretty hard, but a good challenge. Haven't run into any problems or bugs

A beautifully solid deck-builder. One of the best the switch has to offer, especially to hardcore fans of the genre. I've been charmed by the aesthetics, wowed by the mechanics and had a lovely experience playing. No bugs, no hangups and no problems. A must-play!

This game is an excellent of so many things I enjoy in a game. The branching paths and many unlockable classes, caravans and perks give a lot of replayability while the text based RPG approach keeps me engaged and invested in the desolate world it's helped my mind create.
Combat mixes deck building and tactics, both genres which I love, while also making me micromanage my units to avoid
This game is an excellent of so many things I enjoy in a game. The branching paths and many unlockable classes, caravans and perks give a lot of replayability while the text based RPG approach keeps me engaged and invested in the desolate world it's helped my mind create.
Combat mixes deck building and tactics, both genres which I love, while also making me micromanage my units to avoid losing too many units permanently. Unlike a lot of deck builders, the game actively punishes you for trying to turn cycle decks and rewards you for having a larger unit deck, which is an interesting change of pace.

So far actually I only have 2 complaints:

    1) Each run lasts forever. This is pretty minor, but I like to run through my roguelikes in full runs to not lose track of my builds and abilities, but with 3-4 hour run time on the few game clears I've managed, this game has forced me to do my runs in segments .

    2) Difficulty spikes are very real. The last boss is significantly harder than the rest, but to be expected. That said, after my first 2 clears on Chosen I figured I would upgrade to the "medium" difficulty "burdened". The difference in difficulty was insane and I was immediately slaughtered. Kind of wish there were an in between difficulty because I go from becoming consistent on my "Chosen" clears to not being able to clear the first area most times on "Burdened".

All in all, this is a fantastic game that I think deserves a try from anyone who enjoys card games or text based RPGs.

Fantastic game. One of my most played card games. Great art, leaders and deck combinations, and fun mechanics

If you enjoy Slay the Spire and Monster Train this is the next game for you. The battles are great fun with an interesting positioning mechanic, loads of unique keywords and there's a deep narrative underpinning the whole experience. It can be brutally difficult but failure feels self-inflicted (not random) and I tend to want to jump back in for another run.

Surviving Nowhere Prophet's grueling world offers laidback gameplay but that is unfortunately undercut with some frustrating moments.

Far from being yet another deckbuilder, Nowhere Prophet cleverly innovates on established gameplay elements to produce a heartily challenging and compelling card game worthy of standing alongside the best of the genre.

The gameplay is tightly-constructed, the narrative elements add a layer not often seen in deckbuilders, and both halves are wrapped in a fantastic, semi-abstract art style that recalls elements of cyberpunk, collapsed civilizations and Indian theming with bright strokes, chunky colors and bold lines. Visually, conceptually, and in its gameplay, Nowhere Prophet is gorgeous.
