    Though the content and concept of My Time at Portia is sublime, having the potential to enslave your attention for months to come, the Switch port lacks the polish and love it so desperately deserves. Should quality of life fixes be implemented, this will certainly be worth sinking your time into. For now, not so much.

    Through all the little quirks and the awkwardness of the game on console, Portia remains a delight that surprises in so many ways. The world that Pathea have created is offbeat and quirky, wrapped in an art style that still works so very well, even at the Switch’s reduced quality. This is a big, sprawling slice of life simulation, and is an easy recommendation for fans of the genre on console.

    The critic reviews seem to be going off the PC version which I also own and agree with the positive reviews; it's a great game, however, the Switch port is just not ready. Maybe later.    … Full Review »

    My Time at Portia is really frustrating, as I can see it has potential and could be a really fun craft-focused life sim. Unfortunately, theMy Time at Portia is really frustrating, as I can see it has potential and could be a really fun craft-focused life sim. Unfortunately, the game runs terribly on the Switch! Every action feels very sluggish, even in the menus and inventory. You can press a button and in many situations wait several seconds before getting any response. When items drop, they sit at your feet for several seconds before they get added to your inventory. Loading times aren't too bad once you've started the game but that's a small plus when everything else in the game takes forever to respond!

    It sounds like the game runs smoother on other systems, so I'd be interested in playing it elsewhere (if I was willing to pay for it again...).

    Yikes. This port is absolutely terrible. Lag is an average of 3-5 seconds for almost every farming action you do if it is mining or cuttingYikes. This port is absolutely terrible.
