    Morphies Law is a game in which size does matter. We can say that it is very innovative, but it needs more things. Not only in a specific part, but in everything in general. We could say that the game has left us wanting more.

Below average shooting mechanics, bland level design and a general lack of variety in gameplay between the different modes keeps the game from realizing its full potential.

    The hook is great (shoot/shrink parts on other players and grow your own), but it feels the downside of being a larger target vastly outweighs any physical buffs, and the maps are just too small (think Drawn to Death sized maps) to really implement layered strategy with any success. So it just feels like a "pray and spray" formula.

    Positives: No pay to win crap, and some good customization for characters although in the end it just ends up looking like a "dia de los muertos" costume party either way. Sound is great, it all has that animated/cartoony vibe and that seems to fit the pace of the game well.

    The other major positive is the cost - and the fact that it's (currently) Switch exclusive. For $20 you could do worse, there is a good amount of charm here so if that's a sell factor for you - have at it.

    Unfortunately the lack of polished shooting mechanics (at least in the early stages of the game), couple with small, disorienting maps and lackluster game modes means this multiplayer shooter has a ways to go before wowing any hardcore fans of the genre. 6/10    … Full Review »

    The Player Avatar stutters and jitters when they come in contact with moving parts of the stage or stage traps.
    The game lags like hell.
    Being hit gives only very lackluster feedback, which in combination with the lag makes it impossible to react appropriately against enemies from the flanks or the side.

    The weapons feel weak and dodgy and the game has on overall amateurish feel to it.
    It just seems cobbled together, unfinished more akin to an early access game.

    While the Idea is nice and the game has a certain charm, the flaws are just to much for me.

Flaws such as only having four maps, albeit beautiful and well crafted with size hi jinks, there's only four which can get boring pretty fast. The game has a variety of customization which is actually surprising , such as appearance, loadouts, ultimate abilities, and a special power. Game types are incredibly fun surprisingly and it's hilarious stealing mass from you or even your teammates. One second you're a massive construct, the next second you're small enough to enter mice tunnels.

    Online play is fun, but can get choppy with frames and latency/lag. Not game breaking though, but it does sometime compromise the full experience. Otherwise, it's pretty much worth the Jackson.    … Full Review »
