Modern Tales: Age of Invention is the sort of point-and-click adventure we have become accustomed to on the Switch eShop. However, there’s very little new or different here, and as a result, this one struggles to stand out.

I accidentally left the building I needed to be in and when I went back in the game froze. It wouldn't unfreeze no matter what I tried which included turning my Switch off and on. Whenever I went back into the game and chose to go back into the building the game said I needed to be in to continue it put me back into that frozen state.

I finally gave up, watched the ending online and un-installed the game. I'm glad I didn't spend more then I did, because of that it was a lot easier to handle what happened. I thought it was a fun point and click up until the point disaster occurred. It had really nice detailed animation so visually it's very pleasing to the eye.
