Nov 22, 2021This being my First Metriod game and my second MetriodVania
This game makes me really want to get into the Genre more and play the other Metriod games (Which is a good thing)
This game is good but the Ost isn't perfect and tbh i just drowned it out with Youtube and I wish it was a Tad bit longer but overall its a good Experience -

The best Metroid game in years. Probably the best game of 2021. I don't know yet. -
Oct 11, 2021Exceptional level design. excellent audio design. excellent graphics. superb metroid gameplay.
Loved the E.M.M.I sections.
Did not like the bosses.
Unfortunately no voice acting in the opening.
Some of the music is iffy mainly the boss music and ending music -
Jul 22, 2023A dense, tough as nails game. I was surprised as this is the sort of difficulty I’ve come to expect from indie studios, rather than the established ones. It is rather short and linear as recent Metroidvania goes, which is fine considering how intense the game is.

Oct 9, 2021Dread is awesome. The game is difficult enough for an adult to find challenging. While the game is non-linear like the past entries in the series, there is a better intuition of where to go next based on the map design. Gameplay is excellent. The atmosphere is good.
Only thing holding it back is sub-par music and the intro narration is a bit lame. -

Oct 10, 2021To be honest, I had only played Super Metroid for the snes before this one, and now with Dread I just have to say it's a good game, it's not a masterpiece of course but loved it.

Oct 12, 2021Honestly, i think this game is pretty fun. the game itself is good and the controls are also good. but those robots that chase you are so damn annoying and random. 8 out of 10.

Jan 20, 2022After almost 20 years we finally have a sequel to the 2D series of Metroid games! Considering that, Dread does a great job of combining the new modern combat with the old elements of research and advancement, and it doesn't hurt that we have some of the best boss fights in the series. A true gem and a must have for all Switch gamers.

Dec 13, 2021Taking up the torch of a series interrupted nineteen years ago is never an easy task, but the MercurySteam studio is doing it with honors! The developers have chosen the path of security while perfectly respecting the spirit of the previous episodes, to the detriment of true modernity.
