It may come as no surprise, then, that Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a great companion package to complete the original canon saga. It wouldn’t surprise me if the newer generation of gamers would actually favour this over the first, due to the technically more advanced graphics and more ambitious ways that Capcom had stirred up the formula. I still personally favour the original collection if I didn’t have the choice of having both, but I am in my mid-30s and loved them as a kid so that is a given.

MegaMan Legacy Collection 2 is a good collection and will please fans of the most beloved robot in video games. It's an almost mandatory buy for 2D platform fans. There is no doubt that it is the best versions of the games since it comes with all the DLC contents of MegaMan 9 and 10 included and the ports were well done.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a good compilation although some games are missing. Once again, Capcom is committed to recover some of the best titles of Mega Man, which are accompanied by new features to make it easier for new players, but at the same time they return with the challenging difficulty of the past for the most veteran players. In short, a compilation that, although it can be improved, is essential for any fan of the series.

Many will say that Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 isn’t as great as the first collection. While the first seems to have had a bit more attention to detail in it, this collection is still a great way to explore the Mega Man games of yesteryear. I am crossing all of my body parts hoping that we see a third collection containing the likes of the Game Boy games, Mega Man & Bass and Wily Wars, as I have enjoyed every minute of Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, despite missing a few key features found in the first collection.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 contains a good selection of titles from the series' later years. It's not quite up there with the first compilation because two of the four titles available here may not be to everybody's taste. However, if you're looking for a complete history of the core series, it's a fantastic companion piece to the first compilation.

Even if it’s less appealing than the first Collection, Mega Man The Legacy Collection is the best way to play some of the unsung episodes of the great Mega Man franchise.

While you might complain that Capcom doesn’t offer a complete bundle of the first ten classic Mega Man games, this collection with all its bonus material is worth the trip down memory lane.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is worth picking up, but it pales in comparison to its predecessor. [Issue #34 – July/August 2018, p. 67]

As it stands, this is not a strong collection of Mega Man games compared to the first. If you want all the Mega Man games on your Switch, you’ll obviously need this volume, but if you don’t feel that need, you might skip this one.

All told, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 feels like a letdown compared to the stellar presentation of its predecessor. Missing features and lower quality games easily make this the more skippable of the two, although that doesn’t necessarily mean that this is a bad collection. We’d recommend this to any fans of the Mega Man series – 9 and 10 just about justify the collection on their own – but those who are looking to get their feet wet may want to pass on this and just get the first collection.

This is a pretty good collection, and actually led me to beat a Mega Man game for once. However, Mega Man 7 and 8 didn't do too much for me. Other than that though, this is a great collection that any Switch owner needs. Full Review »

While it doesn't have as much games and features as the first collection, it makes a better purchase due to it including Mega Man 9 and 10
