    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game has the most awful online mode I've every experienced. The whole gameplay is based around luck and not skill. When you score 3 goals your opponent immediately gets a star and a charge orb and scores 2 goals and you can't do anything about it. The goal keeper is either the best keeper ever or the worst you ever get, it's just random. The worst of all is that when you play alone your 3 other characters do nothing except running around like dumb **** And when you want to switch to a specific player that has a good positioning on the field you can't directly switch to the character, you have to go through every **** member in your team until you finally have the one you want.

    When you play this strikers team mode bull**** you can't even choose from the whole character roster when your club hasn't enough members, the game rather chooses a random character with no equipment.

    I almost broke my switch in half after losing 10 games in a row because of this stupid luck based bull****. I hate everything about this game and not even the CPU trophy mode **** is fun. I've beaten every team in this mode and collected every trophy and the only thing you unlock is a new armor. You not even get a special item or character after beating the „galatic mode“. 0/10 I would not recommend this game to anyone.    … Expand

    Mario Strikers: Battle League is another example of what's going with the Mario Sports spin-offs since 2015. It plays and looks decently but it's content does not warrant the full game price. It's at most a 20$ game but of course because it's a Nintendo product, the company doesn't care about the quality and charges 60$ regardless. The seal of quality once meant something.     As a fan of the series this game is very disappointing. Mechanically it's fun to play, but the problem is it's not better than the previous entries. To put it bluntly, this game is a step backwards for the series. Less overall features, less content, just play the old games because they are better.

    I can't believe I say this for a Nintendo game, but it's flawed. Now don't get me wrong the gameplay is great and the game is polished overall but it has... problems. Firstly it doesn't have content like most people are saying. Secondly, the game is really hard to master.     The online mode is a mess. It's more like a fighting game than sport. This isn't bad if course, it's the main gimmick. But.. In a field so small you barely get the chance to think before you act. It's more like pressing random buttons than actually enjoying it. I play his game for 5 hours so I may change my opinion over time, but for someone who doesn't have much time to invest, it will be a problem. Also, changing characters mid game feels incredibly unresponsive. You try to change to someone you want but the game will pick someone else and confuse you completely. But the biggest problem of all in the gameplay, is this god awful goalkeeper. This NPC has to be fixed ASAP. The guy sometimes guards the goal like a.. goalkeeper(obviously) , catching the most difficult shots. However... some other times you just randomly shoot from mid-field and he just lets the ball in. My biggest personal issue with this game is this specific NPC. I dare say it's the main reason this game is bad. It definitely needs to be patched. As for the performance, I don't know if it's my problem but I get frame drops regularly in online mode.

    I think Nintendo will eventually patch this game and add more content. This game has an incredible potential but it's overthrown by.. not many, yet serious issues..

    If you are a huge fun of soccer and Mario I guess it's a good game to pick up but I would personally wait for this game to be updated and patched. Right now, its just not fun...    … Expand

    Mario Golf on Switch was a disappointment, this game here is a joke. It should have been a mobile game - but even those have more than two modes to play. 10 characters to chose for a 5 vs 5 game? Wtf. No storymode for full price? Go home..

    I see were they‘ve gone with the changes in overall gameplay and I like those ideas, but the overall feeling was so much nicer and felt more fun and intense in the previous game for the Wii. It’s okay but I wish that they might improve some of the game over time

But the AI mates are stupid, the soccer field is too small (that is why the game feels sometimes chaotic), the gear system is a dissapointment because the gear only switches stats, only 10 characters choosable (after three games you have seen allI thought this Game would be a no brainer. I paid 60€ for an early access game, because Nintendo knows what the fans want and how they can make maximum profit out of a minimum of work. Yeah they will patch new content, nice. So what?     It wouldn't have taken much for me to actually like this game but they **** it up so hard. So many things baffle me about this game. If they wanted to skimp on single player and focus on multiplayer that's fine, but don't make the multiplayer garbage then. If you want to play "ranked" You have to be in a club and can only use 1 character that you created. All your other team members are made by club members (randoms), so teambuilding is ****. They seem to want to make it higher skill by adding in timing to do perfect passing and shots but then they add garbage comeback mechanics like free items when you're losing and guaranteed goal hyper strikes. They seemed to want to make this game 4v4 multiplayer but you cant use 4 switches on 1 team.

    I really wanted to like this game, I still enjoy charged to this day. I dropped this game in a couple weeks and I don't see myself coming back for characters that should have been in from the start.    … Expand

    This is such a shame. Wasted money on a game where they promised 4 people could play online on the same team, which is not the case, only two people can play at once. I hope people read this and don't buy the game until Nintendo fixes this. I know I am done buying any switch games until they fix this. Does Nintendo think we all live in the same house. let us play online with our friends!

    The solo mode takes 2 days to be done
    The online mode is horrible. Only 2vs2, no 4vs4...
    One week later, still no fix, still no communication from Nintendo.

    Will be a dead game very fast.

    Very sad, because the game may have been fun.

    El gameplay es muy divertido pero lamentablemente tiene demasiados puntos en contra, la escasez de modos de juegos y contenido no se veía desde un juego de nintendo 64, además de que la IA es terrible en especial la del portero, las promesas de contenido gratuito no vale con el estado actual del juego, ningún Mario de deportes urgía así desde el Mario tennis de la Wii U

    This is a very awsome game for my first mario strikers game.the awsome mario themed satdiums,the gear customizations the strikers club starts tommorow,the cup battles were fun,we are getting more characters and not many months on end because we are getting maybe 10 characters I would tell everyone play this high experienced,better than fifa and is an awsome game

    The mechanics are quite deep in this new entry to the franchise and you'll need some time to get used to it but once you get used to it, you can feel how fun and intuitive it is to play. Also Next Level Games put a lot of time into the soundtrack and the animations which make the game play feel really smooth and gives a lot of charisma and personality to the unfortunately small roaster of playable characters we have right now available, without the DLC.
    If you have no friends or no NSO membership this game won't be for you, since the only single-player content it offers is battling against CPU's in matches or tournaments and it can get repetitive and tedious really fast, which is a shame because the animations and gameplay are fluid.
    In conclusion, without the DLC, Mario Strikers: Battle League is not worth it because of it's little to non existing content!    … Expand

    En las anteriores entregas podías disfrutar de diferentes modos de juego, aquí solo hay partida rápida y copas, y luego está el modo online que obviamente necesitarás el Nintendo Switch Online para poder jugar. Las copas (El único modo que vas a jugar si no tienes online) se vuelven repetitivas, vas repitiendo todo el rato lo mismo.

    Jugabilidad:
    Un punto destacable del juego, sería la jugabilidad, se siente muy fluido y las partidas son muy frenéticas, pero aun así en las anteriores entregas los personajes se movían más rápidamente (básicamente los personajes han engordado)

    Diseño:
    El diseño es el último punto positivo del juego, en el apartado gráfico se nota la esencia de un Mario Strikers, tanto en el arte como en las animaciones se ve todo muy bien, pero luego hay otras cosas que no me han gustado, como el diseño de los mapas o el hecho de que no te puedas crear un diseño propio de tu equipo (espera eso si se puede hacer PAGANDO EL DICHOSO NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE)

    No hay mucho que comentar aquí, la música generalmente es buena, pero no me llama la atención, sigue siendo la misma música que se pone en todos los Mario Strikers.

    Contenido:
    Entiendo que el contenido no es el fuerte en esta saga, pero se nota de lejos que el juego está inacabado, falta de personajes, falta de pistas, falta de modos... El Mario Strikers de la Gamecube tiene mucho más contenido que este juego, estamos hablando que un juego del 2005 tiene más contenido que uno del 2022.

    La gente dice que el juego irá mejorando con actualizaciones y que por eso no se puedo criticar, lo siento para mí ese argumento no es válido, en primer lugar Nintendo nunca ha afirmado que haya actualizaciones de este juego, segundo si me tengo que esperar 3 años para recibir todo el contenido, seguramente ya me habré cansado del juego y tercero, antiguamente Nintendo cuando hacía un juego LO HACÍA ENTERO, ni actualizaciones ni nada (Se que sueno como un viejo diciendo esto, pero es verdad) Si siguen haciendo este tipo de prácticas al final todos los juegos de Nintendo serán incompletos y para poder disfrutarlos al máximo tendrás que esperar 5 años.    … Expand

    Sin contenido y decepcionante en lo único que podía salvarlo (el multijugador), la base del juego me parece realmente buena, pero se termina la motivación de jugar en las primeras 2 horas de juego.
    Es simplemente lamentable el hecho de no tener un 4v4 sin necesidad de ser 2 personas por consola, gracias a esto, no hay prácticamente ninguna motivación para jugar, ya que aparte de tener un    Sin contenido y decepcionante en lo único que podía salvarlo (el multijugador), la base del juego me parece realmente buena, pero se termina la motivación de jugar en las primeras 2 horas de juego.
    Es simplemente lamentable el hecho de no tener un 4v4 sin necesidad de ser 2 personas por consola, gracias a esto, no hay prácticamente ninguna motivación para jugar, ya que aparte de tener un nulo contenido, no existe un modo clasificatorio, excepto por el "grandioso" club strikers, cuya única utilidad es tener a 20 nombres en una fila de miembros, porque es exactamente lo mismo que jugar una partida solo o con otro más.
    Lo que me parece aún peor de todo esto, es que en los avances se insinuara que se podía jugar 4v4 todo el tiempo (que de cierta manera se puede, pero es mucho más complicado que en CUALQUIER OTRO JUEGO EXISTENTE) pareciendo esto su mayor atractivo, para que al final resultara ser solo un juego incompleto y sin ningún tipo de incentivo para jugar.
    Ahora toca esperar 3 meses para una actualización con Mario de oro y otros 3 más para una con Peach de oro rosa, 15 años para una entera decepción, nada nuevo en Nintendo.

    Lo bueno:
    - Primero que todo este tiene tremendo gameplay, puede adaptarse de muy buena manera tanto a principiantes como a jugadores avanzados, tiene mucha profundidad a nivel competitivo, pero no es necesario aprenderse todo si solo te quieres divertir, solo que si no te saltes el tutorial para que al menos te puedas defender.
    - Las animaciones son maravillosas, tienen tanto detalle, muestra mas personalidad a los personajes del mundo de Mario que en lo general son muy planos, Next Level Games realmente le encanta mostrar otras caras en ellos.
    - El online por muy raro que suene funciona bien, tendrás uno que otro lag en algunas partidas ya que bueno es Nintendo y ya sabemos como funciona su red arcaica.
    - La idea del equipo es buena, ya que si te gusta usar un personaje pero quisieras cambiarle sus stats para competir de manera distinta pues puedes hacerlo con el equipo.

    Hasta aquí lo bueno.
    Se nota que quieren enfocarse en el multijugador online ya que tienen la opción de tener tu club o unirte a uno para competir en los partidos de temporada, ganar monedas del juego y ganar rangos, esperemos que todo salga bien con este modo ya que, a la fecha escrita esta reseña, la temporada todavía no ha empezado para que los jugadores puedan adaptarse.
    El juego también brilla en su multijugador local, ahí es donde se crea todo el caos del juego, créeme que será una tarde con tus compas memorable.

    Ahora viene lo que puede mejorar:
    - Contenido muy escaso: Si ya se la típica queja del contenido, pero es la verdad, el juego tiene un muy poco contenido offline, solo esta el modo copas que te lo podes terminar un par de horas que lo único que ganas con ello son monedas ¿Y de ahí que? Y no me vengas con eso de que "El primero era así ¿De qué te quejas?", no hermano, de hecho el Super Mario Strikers tenia como mínimo desbloqueables que eran los estadios y el Super Team, y en el Mario Strikers Charged lo hicieron mucho mejor, rebajaron el numero de copas a solo tres, cada una mas dificil y larga que la anterior, eso si cada una llevaba consigo un personaje nuevo y un nuevo estadio.
    - Muy pocos personajes: En anteriores juegos antes solo había un capitán que era uno de los personajes principales como Mario, Luigi o Peach y tres asistentes, los Toads, Hammer Bros., Birdos, Koopas, etc. Acá cambiamos a que todos son un equipo, Mario, Bowser, Wario y Peach pueden ser un solo equipo, el primer personaje que elijas seria como la cara de equipo. El cambio no es molesto en si, sin embargo, solo hay diez personajes jugables hasta el momento, lo cual es un bajón del anterior ya que habían 9 personajes y 3 desbloqueables que daban en total 12 personajes. Aquí pasamos a solo diez y como ahora todos se pueden elegir pues eso hace el repertorio se vea muy pequeño, creo que unos 12 a 15 personajes de inicio hubieran sido aceptables y que unos 5 mas sean DLC. Al mismo tiempo que los pocos personajes...
    - Pocas animaciones que pueden caer en la repetición: En anteriores títulos habían al menos de 4 - 6 animaciones de anotación y dos de derrota, por personaje, en Battle League solo hay dos animaciones de gol, una de derrota y una de victoria. Como dije son maravillosas, pero esperemos que el contenido nuevo también venga con nuevas animaciones para los personajes.
    - No hay mapeo de botones: Ya llevo muchas veces equivocándome con los botones, como estoy acostumbrado a pasar con A y tirar con B a veces confundo ambos.
    - No hay 4 vs 4 en el Online: Eso si es un problema, ya que Nintendo esta vendiendo este juego por su online, pero solo puedes hacer equipo de 2 vs 2, es decepcionante.
    - La IA puede ser tonta a veces: En varios partidos los personajes controlados por la computadora incluyendo el portero pueden quedarse quietos de repente y no hacer nada, el portero de paso no siempre defiende bien la portería como los anteriores, una vez hice un Hiperchutazo en su porteria en serio.

    Bueno eso es lo que opino de este juego, yo no puedo dejar de jugarlo, incluso sin mucho contenido no se que es lo que me hace volver a el y echarme unos partidos, tal vez en el fondo si estoy feliz de ver esta saga volver y esperemos que Nintendo no tome a mal el criticismo, solo también seria bueno que el precio de $60 estuviera justificado con un juego algo corto en el offline y esperemos que este juego no muera. Yo lo recomiendo para jugar con o contra amigos pero le doy una nota media por ser muy corto en comparación con el anterior. Si el contenido nuevo vale la pena cambiaré la nota.    … Expand

    I feel like the game is unfinished or lacking content. The animations are good and the graphics as well but in my opinion, it's not worth the $60. Hopefully in the future more stuff gets added and maybe it will be worth the money but for right now it's not. Now, I will continue to play Mario Strikers Charged :)

    Literally NO varierity
    No chaöanges, less personaöity on node.

    Yet they had the time to add tons of animations, but not for any actual modes? If I knew this was coming, I would rather have a port of charged which would be worth it's full prize

    They removed some of the best things from strikers charged. Skillshots, character specific dodges, and a charged soccer ball. Thats what made charged so much better than the original stikers on gamecube. This new game feels like a heavy downgrade back to the gamecube version of the game and its very disappointing.

Already for the first week of the game coming out people are already developing teams and strategies. This game also seems to target towards a party setting, especially with the 4v4 local multiplayer option. With the fact that there are little to no single player content, it doesn’t seem like it was made towards the casual audience, which is the majority of the reviews of this game. The lack of content is still a downside, but it makes a lot more sense if you account for the target audience.

    -Massive Opportunity for a Competitive Scene
    -Fun Game in a Party Setting
    -Fun Gameplay
    -Amazing Visuals, Animations, and Music

    The core gameplay is really fun, but there's really not a lot to do. No actual single-player campaign or anything, just regular matches against other people or CPUs. The lack of characters, stage variety and modes make this feel kind of like a demo.

    We shouldn't let Nintendo release unfinished games and ask $60 for them

The only thing to play in solo mode is "cups" which offer no variety. At the end of each cup a different trophy is handed to you and that's the only difference, the opponents get harder each time, but there is no real reason to play these. So unfortunate we didn't get a storyline.

    Me and three friends each pre-ordered the game and took holiday from work to play on launch day. It was then disappointing to find out that there is no 4v4 player multiplayer - you can only team up with one other console!!.....in a 4 aside football game....in 2022...

    This was an absolute deal breaker and needless to say each copy went on eBay the same day.

    Right now, its the video game equivalent to being sold a raw pizza at a pizza joint. It technically is what you paid for (a pizza), but you will find little value in it and will also be disappointed that it costed the same as a fully prepared pizza. Oh, and the toppings on said raw pizza are spoiled.

    I am going to play this game, I think the gameplay is solid and it can literally only go up from here. I am going to enjoy this game eventually I'm sure, and I'm sure that many others will as well; however, I can't recommend Battle League to anyone in it's current state. Even if this game was free to play I would still feel that the game just doesn't have enough to hold anyone's attention for more than the four hours of solo content - which itself is more frustrating than fun.

    The solo content is cup mode or quick play. Cup mode is way too easy on the easiest difficulty and the next unlockable difficulty is for Galactic mode. Galactic mode is a serious test of patience. The ally AI are absolutely brain dead and just stand around while the enemy AI has near perfect dodging and field coverage and will body check you constantly. Also, the ally goalie is much less accurate than the enemy goalie. The enemy team will be able to score without even charging their shots while the enemy goalie blocks the vast majority of perfect shots from any distance and from any angle - even with heavy curving. I'm all for challenge and I am continuing to play galactic mode to try and get at least one of the cups but it honestly feels downright unfair. If you know, you know.

    If you are reading this and haven't bought the game yet and absolutely must play it, just wait for updates. I feel that you may regret your purchase if you don't wait for more updates - I know I do.    … Expand

    Nintendo with dirty marketing strategies, False advertising the online multiplayer. You CANNOT play 4v4 online on separate switches. You can only connect 2 switches on your team in the online mode, so it’s 2v2. Unless you have two players playing on the SAME switch, and connect two of those switches, you will not be able to play online 4v4.

    It’s archaic and disgusting that they misled    Nintendo with dirty marketing strategies, False advertising the online multiplayer. You CANNOT play 4v4 online on separate switches. You can only connect 2 switches on your team in the online mode, so it’s 2v2. Unless you have two players playing on the SAME switch, and connect two of those switches, you will not be able to play online 4v4.

    Hard to keep up what’s happening on screen, the roster is underwhelming, the stages are boring and don’t add anything to the gameplay besides visuals, and you can’t even play with 4 people online as a team. Nintendo release your games finished challenge 3 2 1 go!

    First Mario Strikers for me. Overall, considering its cost, the content inside and the quality of life features, it's unacceptable. Let's start with the (not so much) good things:

    -Nice mechanics: the in-match    First Mario Strikers for me. Overall, considering its cost, the content inside and the quality of life features, it's unacceptable. Let's start with the (not so much) good things:

    -Nice mechanics: the in-match mechanics are well explained (thanks to training) and the difficulty curve to master them is not so steep. I love the club mechanics and I can't wait to start the season.
    -Great reiterability: online, local or single player it's not boring at all. Matches are always different from each other thanks to the instruments, mechanics and AI's

    And now the (many) bad things of this game:
    -Online coop: I think this is absolutely the greatest missed opportunity of this game. Why should I play with just two consoles per team? I expect that, when the total team characters are four, I can connect myself with other three friends. Furthermore, considering the time in which we are (nearly after a global pandemy) it's not always easy to stay with friends "in presence", which is what this game force to do if I want to play with other three people online.
    -Extremely poor roaster: a 4v4 game with 10 characters is too poor. I know that will add new characters later, but at the moment this can be a problem in terms of variability of the game.
    -Cup mode: it starts with an AI that is at the limit of stupidty and, after winning all cups in the normal mode, becomes extremely hard, in particular for novices. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but that level should be smoothed a bit adding an intermediate level or increasing the difficulty of the lower rank

    I bought this game with 3 others Friends for play 4v4 and We Saw its actually impossible.
    On the trailer Nintendo Said its will be possible to create a club and play online at 8 players.
    Like Mario tennis when it was impossible to play 2v2 online. Thats a big lie from Nintendo.... So i bought the game for nothing.

If you try and play online with your friends - that is capped at two players per game so you are stuck with the cpu for the other 2 players. There seems to be no way that I can find to control the goalie so you are often stuck with lackluster performance from the cpu. And, if you play locally there is nothing really to do as it is just the same cup over and over again. There is no story, no engagement, nothing to do in the game! Seems like something that would be released for $30-$40 USD as a party game. Definitely not a full $60 title!

    In 5-6 days the leagues are going to start. Maybe that will fix the online play, but then again there is nothing in the game to keep me playing for the next 5-6 days so I will probably return the game to Gamefly and never look back.

    Hopefully everyone else tries a rental before buying since it seems like it will only appeal to a very niche audience and for most people not worth the $60 asking price!    … Expand

    Game play is a ton of fun - but I just can't justify paying almost $100 (CAD) for this at the moment. As most would agree, the game is lacking content - big time. Would only recommend picking this game up if you have friends to play with all the time. Otherwise, I'm probably going to re-buy it down the road once there's some patches or a sale.

    There's no game here. It's a half baked soccer "idea" at best. You can't follow anything happening on the screen, you can't control the goalie, the AI spikes all over the place, and the tutorial is literally garbage, the tutorial doesn't even make sense in a few places. I've never felt ripped off by a Mario title, ever. I guess there's a first time for everything. This title is horrible.

    Then Mario Golf: Ultra Rushed happened, which changed the gameplay so much that it became unplayable to me. The controls are horrible, the animations are boring, and the gimmick is stupid. They dropped that game like a stone after a couple of months.

    And here we are, with Mario Strikers: Battle League. That game is just the icing on the cake. It is much slower than Mario Strikers Charged on Wii, and even slower than Mario Smash Football on GameCube. It has less content than the GameCube title.
    Of course, fanboys will argue: "Bruh, Mario Smash Football only had 9 characters, so Battle League is an improvement!1". Sadly those fanboys don't have the mental capacity to realize that the original Mario Smash Football has 13 characters, since there are also sidekicks to choose from. The same applies to the Wii title: the sidekicks add so much to the game and made it fun. In Battle League, the sidekicks are completely absent, meaning that the total amount of characters is 10, which is less than the original game released 17 years ago.

    The stadiums are really boring and all play the same. Fanboys would once again argue that the original Smash Football also only featured basic stadiums. But at least those stadiums had fun themes and they looked all different. In this game, there are only 5 stadiums which all play the same. The stadium hazards from Strikers are gone and so is the fun. Plus they are much smaller than the stadiums in the previous games.

    As if this wasn't insulting enough, there's next to no single player content. Sure, Mario Strikers never had much single player content. But at least the original had the Custom Battle mode while Strikers had an online mode. Speaking of online, it's absolutely terrible. 4v4 isn't possible even though the advertisements seem to state otherwise. It's once again one of those stupid restrictions Nintendo puts into place that makes no sense whatsoever.

    Gone are the fun animations from Mario Strikers Charged, which were absolutely perfect and fit the character's personality really well. While the animations are smooth and nice to look at in Battle League, they lack any character or personality from the previous Mario Strikers games. It seems that literally everything was made more tame, more "safe" in this game, which seems to be a reoccurring trend for Mario games on Switch. It's such a shame, really. Also, the amount of animations per character is really low, so after a couple of goals, you have seen everything. In Charged Football, the game kept surprising me with outrageous and funny animations, making it so much more fun to play.

    Gone is the amazing soundtrack from the previous game. In Charged, every character had a different musical style and theme. Here, everything sounds the same. It's just some run of the mill rock soundtrack which was instantly forgettable.

    All of this makes for a horrible game. Sure, the BASE GAMEPLAY is there. It works. It doesn't seem to have noticeable glitches or anything. But it's LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE that ruins this game: no content, horrible online, lame animations (although the graphics ARE good), boring stadiums, and an insultingly low amount of playable characters. Nintendo intents to "fix" this by drip-feeding content. Sorry, that's not gonna work a third time. It is time to rise up and tell Nintendo to stop releasing unfinished games. I do know Nintendo's intentions. No, they are not doing it to make the players come back to this game after a couple of months. Their primary goal is to make the cartridges worthless. They want to kill the physical "used game" market. In 20 years, when Nintendo's update servers for this game shut down, you can't update the game anymore and you are left with an incomplete game on the cartridge, making it absolutely worthless. Nintendo wants you to stop selling and buying used games. They are greedy, disgusting businessmen who have forgotten what made them so great in the past. They can't even push out a complete game anymore.

    It is hopeless. The only way to stop it is TO - NOT - BUY - IT! Do not give Nintendo your money. Please. If you keep spending money on Nintendo stuff, they will continue to push out unfinished games with no content. This is not the Nintendo I grew up with.     The gameplay itself is very well made, cant say otherwise. Its fun to play, but not for long since there is literally nothing todo besides of some tournaments. Compared to mario golf this is a joke. Im not expecting as much gameplay as in smash bros. But this was really a dissapointment. Coming from a Mario fan.

    All in all the game is a fun gameplay experience with SOME of your favorite Nintendo characters from the Mario Strikers series, but the lack of content and modes drags this otherwise very enjoyable game down to a just above average package. And that is if you enjoy online play. If you're just looking for a single player experience this is not worth your time and money. I don't really care about free DLC down the line. If I get tired of this game, a new playable character or a different course is not going to change that. It's a bad trend Nintendo has started with releasing games lacking of content and then promise free dlc in the future. What's next? A new Mario kart with 10 stages and 6 playable characters at launch with promises of free dlc down the line? At full price?     False advertisement, most of fist day buyers are 25+ nostalgic people and adults dont live in the same house or even the same city, 4v4 online is technically a lie. This is the worst mario strikers by far, hopefully they fix it, in the meantime i will try to resell it, maybe not losing all my money will not make me feel like i just got scammed

    I am very disappointed with this game. They made it a lot less enjoyable than the game for the wii. Less characters, No specialized abilities for team captains. I bought this game with the hopes for a completed game, but it is just disappointing. I hope they turn it around with DLC, but as of right now, do not buy this game.

    This game is an absolute blast and I have so much fun the gameplay and the animations are so super epic I recommend getting this game because it’s got amazing online 2v2 co-op battle, excellent customization, epic rock and roll music and stunning graphics at its core also fans have been dropping really evil review bombs

    The game is as bad as Pokemon unite. Japanese forget how to play games. You can see: capcom, square enix, koei tecmo... one game being worse than another and full of microtransactions. The community complains and they continue to do so in games. Have what? Mental problem for sure.

    It's a disgusting game. Goals are the same, matches are random, super shots for some reason give 2 points. Long-range shots are easier to score than point-blank shots. Two players just rape one player. **** mario kart boxes. Goalkeeper is just random garbage. Tactics in the game are zero, assists are unnecessary. Not much variability. Total **** don't buy this game.

    Daisy isn't in the game at launch. Daisy is the reason all Mario games are bad. Mario Tennis Aces has Daisy, no one likes it, Mario Golf: Super Rush has Daisy, no one likes it. But this game finally doesn't include Daisy, and its rthe best Mario Sports game in over a decade.

    This game is unfinished. The mechanics are good, but at this point, it only has a few hours of playability before you've seen everything. Lacking a lot of content. Needs a patch desperately to be worth its price tag.

    It's a great game if you don't want to play too long against a pretty erratic AI. It's disappointing to not be able to control the goalie as well. The online features are excellent. Plus there's the promise of an expanding range of available Nintendo characters for free. A perfect choice for parties. [Issue#320]

    I was really looking forward to Mario Strikers: Battle League, and for the most part it has been a worthy successor, but it’s a little hampered by the complexity of the gameplay. Even scoring goals can be a bit difficult overall. Soccer is definitely not known for high-scoring affairs but it is simply too difficult to score goals in the time allotted. This does seem to be different from what I remember in the previous games. It was a bit easier to score goals and that is definitely missed. There’s a balance that sports games need to strike, but Battle League does tend to be just a bit more difficult. Still, there is a lot to love about Mario Strikers: Battle League, but it almost made me want a remaster of the first two games more than anything.

    Nostalgia is a dangerous thing. In our memories, 'Super Mario strikers' on our Gamecube was the best of the best, unmatched and wonderful. Fair is not fair, as it sets the bar extremely high for 'Mario strikers battle league'. But there's more: this game feels like it's not quite finished.
