Jul 29, 2018Go Vacation is the perfect choice for those who look for a simple, immediate and varied joy. It is specially focused to multiplayer mode. It has lots of activities which despite being easy, will make us enjoy due to the tilt control and the local multiplayer option. Technically it could have been better.
-
Jul 26, 2018Whether you play by yourself, with friends or family, Go Vacation is a complete game that will satisfy all kinds of players. It may be a port of a Wii game with better resolution, but this should not discourage players longing for a game that provides a whole array of minigames.
-
Jul 26, 2018Go Vacation has remained the fun experience that it was ages ago. Naturally, it hasn’t aged well from a graphical perspective, but it does a lot of good in its totality.
-
Aug 20, 2018Not a bad option, but you should consider that this vacation isn't going to be the best.
-
Aug 10, 2018Go Vacation is a decent party game, held back by the emptiness of its main setting and the lack of a true standout amongst its minigames.
-
Aug 3, 2018Go Vocation fulfills its role by providing many activities and pleasant gameplay. Well yes, it does suffer from bad controls at times but alone or with a couple of friends, it’s good fun.
-
Jul 26, 2018There's a surprisingly vast amount of content to discover and unlock in what many may assume could have been a shallow selection. It's a refined package that, whilst still harks back to the Wii era, feels more in-line with the Nintendo Switch offering for the most part. There are some odd control decisions for solo Joy-Con users, and some odd mini-games in the pot, but Go Vacation is a solid destination to visit.
-
Jul 26, 2018A fun game to play with others that looks and feels too old but it's still interesting.
-
Jul 26, 2018Go Vacation is an incredibly basic game, in addition to being a seven year old port. But somehow, despite my initial inklings that this was a shovelware game, I actually found myself really enjoying it.
-
Jul 26, 2018A nice a game, clearly aimed at younger kids and those looking for a "casual" and fun gaming experience with friends.
-
Nov 8, 2018Everything about Go Vacation seems like it’s trying to import the hottest gaming trends of 2006 into today. If you still feel nostalgia for that era, then check it out, but if you’d rather that motion controls and the like stayed firmly in the past, then you’ll probably want to steer clear.
-
Aug 2, 2018Go Vacation has several problems, too many to interest veteran players. That said, it could be a highly recommended purchase if you have little brothers or small children at home, eager to get their hands on your switch.
-
Jul 27, 2018Go Vacation is a game mostly for kids: some funny ideas and a decent world to explore make the sum for a good party game if played in party, an average one if played alone. If you're not a kid, just focus on a bunch of games designed for a more than average competitive approach.
-
Aug 24, 2018A party game clearly aimed at younger audience. Those looking for a fresh and light multiplayer experience will found what they're looking for, while single players must be warned: better wait for something more juicy.
-
Aug 9, 2018Go Vacation tries to be a fun summer game and it certainly has some elements going for it, such as the exploration possibilities and the multiplayer options. It's also impossible for the game to hide its origins in a previous generation and after a while it becomes apparent that Go Vacation puts quantity above quality, as the experience will soon enough become less compelling than players might think.
-
Aug 6, 2018Go Vacation is just like a real holiday - if you go off and do your own thing rather than following the signposts, it's surprisingly enjoyable.
-
Aug 6, 2018Probably the idea looked better on paper. It’s not a bad game, but that Wii concept feels a little bit old now and the experience doesn’t hold up that well.
-
Jul 30, 2018As the original game for Wii (released seven years ago), Go Vacation is an interesting minigame collection to enjoy with friends or family, although there is not much improvement in Switch version and free roaming is boring.
-
Jul 26, 2018If the sports were improved and more fleshed out then I’d have been recommending this title for sure, because of its setting in Kawawii Island. In its current state, however, I’d wait for a price cut.
-
Jul 26, 2018Go Vacation presents a world full of games and activities that feel consistently average, with common flaws across the board making each game similarly dull, tiresome, and not worth the asking price. The game’s setting itself provides a welcome break from this, though, with an impressive amount of things to see and do at your own leisure injecting a much-needed dose of fun into the proceedings. Strangely, this is a multiplayer sports game that probably suits those looking for decent single-player exploration the most.
-
Jul 26, 2018It remains a product mainly directed towards a very young audience, which is not very familiar with our favorite medium and prefers a few matches hit and run.
-
Aug 1, 2018Go Vacation promises a world of fun and opportunity. It delivers the latter in spades, but not so much the former.
-
Jul 30, 2018Go Vacation can provide silly sandbox fun given the right company, but the actual structured mini-game content lacks the same level of polish, charm and depth that other Switch multiplayer games feature in spades. With such conditional dependency on enjoyment for what is a steep initial investment, it is difficult to recommend Go Vacation.
-
Jul 30, 2018Go Vacation was an average sports game on Wii, and it's quite the same today on Switch.
-
Jul 26, 2018While the staggering amount of things to do may be appreciated by some, it’s another example that demonstrates how quantity shouldn’t always be a priority over quality.
-
Aug 9, 2018Go Vacation boasts an impressive number of sporty mini-games, but sadly its focus on quantity over quality makes for an entirely forgettable experience.

Jul 26, 2018On the Wii, Go Vacation was trying to enter homes that most likely already had at least two sporting mini-game titles in their library. What we have now on the Switch is a situation where there’s no Wii Sports, no Wii Sports Resort and nothing else decent that’s really like them. In this day and age, Go Vacation stands alone as the sole option for anyone who fancies dipping back into the Wii days. And those who do will be more than happy with what they find.
