Mar 9, 2021I am a big fan of the franchise and I played all the games. I am also a player since the time of the Atari and I like difficult games. But I think this game was made in a way that did not bring me any pleasure in playing. Too many enemies, bad controls and jump like the old game. I tried to play in legend mode and gave up. i ended up in knight mode and never want to see that game again.

May 24, 2021I was very excited about this game but after 20 minutes of gaming so disappointing , the game is ridiculous hard even in easy modes , the graphics is bad , the gameplay is horrible . Overall total garbage .

Mar 8, 2021The art is fine and very reminiscent of the original. Levels of difficulty are meant to make the game accessible to different levels of player. This game does not do that. Even the lowest difficulty level proves frustrating at best. I'm not opposed to challenge, but this one is just ridiculous.

Mar 16, 2021I was excited when they announced the game I was hyped. But once I played the game it was highly disappointing. The game is okay. Just the controller was way off. It is challenging but not the same as the older games. Can't even jump high, few stages are hard to see. Capcom purposely did it so people can break their controllers so Nintendo can get profit. Worse graphic as well.

Feb 27, 2021I'm a big fan of the franchise, and this game is just bad. They botched the art style and especially the animations, they look like an old web flash game. Horrible, just horrible. It's an insult to G&G.

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021With its limited controls, sluggish protagonist, unnecessary, frustrating deaths, and overall tendency to cling to the past too much, Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection is a game either for masochists or die-hard fans of the franchise. There are plenty of platformers out there that are much better at bringing the old-school look and feel into present day. [05/2021, p.36]

Nintendo Force MagazineMay 17, 2021It takes some great steps in the right direction in terms of modernizing this series – but it doesn't quite stick the landing. [Issue #52 – May/June 2021, p. 22]

Apr 22, 2021Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection is a wonderful re-imagining of the brutally difficult iconic series. Featuring incredible hand-drawn animation and multiple difficulty levels to ensure that players of all skill levels can complete the game, this release will win over both old fans of the series as well as new players eager for a challenge.
