Well, this isn't the prettiest version of this underrated gem, but the port itself is well-made and plays nice (mostly). This is a well made port and worthy of this great game.

I’m pretty glad I waited for Dying Light: Platinum Edition to come to Nintendo Switch to play it. I’m sure this game is much better elsewhere, there’s no doubt this is the “weakest” version to play. But when the weakest version of a game is still this good? That’s impressive.

While Dying Light doesn't win many awards for originality, it more than makes up for it with satisfying gameplay that will please even the most established zombie hunters.

Dying Light: Platinum Edition is another impressive Switch port, but the game itself is just OK. Its design threw everything at the wall, often to its detriment. While it has some pretty high highs, they lie almost exclusively in the movement. If you do want to chase those highs you’re better off on other platforms until another patch or two comes along.

The game is still just as fun as it was when it originally launched and, except for a few bugs here and there, it runs super smooth both in handheld and on the tv. None of the bugs are game breaking and instead are just sometimes silly like a zombie randomly ragdolling into the air which honestly can be really entertaining to see. The frame rate is surprisingly smooth and the graphics look surprisingly good both in handheld and tv modes. If you are a fan of the open world survival genre then this is a game you will want to pick up. Even if you have played the game on other consoles before, the game is super fun to play on the go in handheld and there is a ton of extra content to give you a reason to pick it up again Full Review »

Graphics look better then i thought and it runs smooth. Yea its not 4k, but pulling games like The Witcher, both Dooms, all 3 Crysis games and now this game, i cant comeplain about anything that runs this well on a hybrid. Great job Techland/Nintendo!!
