Great combat mechanics and engaging characters. Unfortunate, because they turned it into nothing but a parkour simulator. Also has the cheap trope of punishing players that want to explore an open world on their own in a linear story: enemies are overpowered and quest lines makes no sense. Even though the graphics and performance took a hit, Techland manages to maintain the speed and excitement of Dying Light on the Nintendo Switch.

Dying Light: Platinum Edition is a fantastic conversion to the Nintendo Switch, one which shows that it's possible to bring a technically ambitious game to this platform while delivering an engaging experience. With very competent mechanics, solid gameplay, and a demanding difficulty level, this version of Dying Light also includes all the additional content that has been made available since the game's original release. A true gem and a real example of what Nintendo Switch conversions should aspire to.

There aren’t really any other games like this on the Switch, so as long as you’re okay with — or at least willing to tolerate — visuals that pale in comparison to how they look elsewhere, then you’re in for one of the last gen’s best zombie games.
