    I really enjoyed this little indie Tower Defense game. It is clearly made by fans of the PixelJunk Monsters games, and it improves on those in many ways, strategically, in my opinion. The graphics are much more basic (obviously lol :) ), but the strategy is addictive. I found maneuvering the main character to be much more intuitive and easy than in the PJM games. As well, the PJM gamesI really enjoyed this little indie Tower Defense game. As well, the PJM games suffer from horrendous loading time and this game does not. It has really quirky humor, clever level design, I loved the art, and in sum I think it's worth giving a shot to. As a huge fan of Tower Defense games (favorites being Defense Grid and PvsZ (original), I give this a big thumbs up.… Expand

    My one gripe with the design choice is that some of the flying enemies are just ground enemies with wings. This is fine, but when playing on the Switch in handheld mode it can be difficult to tell them apart. This can get annoying when you are trying to full-health a level only to be surprised by a few flyers. In truth, the levels aren’t too long so it’s not much of a problem to redo, but it can be annoying. Besides that, the game is a decent tower defense with a bit of fun hack and slash thrown in.

    If you're looking for a basic tower defense game to chill out with then Duke of Defense is certainly a capable albeit lackluster indie.
