You play as a young man set out to defend those who cannot. You are tasked with setting up defenses to protect the kingdom, along the way you are spoken to by a man in a cloak who asks you to become the Duke of Defense, so he can retire. The main game is played by placing towers where trees are to keep waves of enemies from reaching your Castle. Along the way, you get access to more powerful, or tactically advantageous, albeit more expensive towers. Each tower has it's own unique way of attacking, and spending time standing on a tower instead of fighting the hordes slowly upgrades the tower. with each of five levels, you get to choose from one of two upgrades, one usually increases the effective range, the other damage output. As you defeat levels you're granted Skill Points you can use in one of three small skill trees to enhance what you can do on the field. Combat, Defense, and Structures each have a 6 part skill tree that can be progressed along. the Pixel art is fun and matched with the upbeat chiptunes, you've got an enjoyable environment to unleash hell on the hordes of evil. The game is addictive if you are a fan of tower defense, and the added ability to hack at the enemies yourself just makes it even more fun! Expand
