Oct 29, 2019Cat Quest II is a great improvement over the original. The game offers a teensy bit more variety and a bigger world, so it starts trucking almost instantly. I do wish that your AI co-op buddy was a bit more competent, but that’s a minor gripe. All in all, though, the time flew by and the smile stayed on my face through almost the entire playthrough. This action RPG promises a wonderful treat if you're looking for a pretty dense game.

Dec 2, 2019If you are up for some cute, simple and potentially cooperative action RPG experience starring a cat and a dog, well this game will be right up your alley. Not too long or complex, yet truly can satiate your hunger for the cute... And some hunger for the action and RPGs. Give it a try! If nothing, it will make you giggle.

Nov 8, 2019Cat Quest II offers a huge open world full of humor and references. It is purrfect to play cooperatively with action battles full of items, dungeons and magic.

Nov 1, 2019Cat Quest II is great in its delivery and simplicity that require no further explanation.

Oct 23, 2019Cat Quest II is a charming little action RPG. Its simple mechanics result in a game which is hugely enjoyable for literally anybody to pick up and play, all backed up by some fantastic design work and infectious humour which never fails to bring a smile to your face. Diehard RPG fanatics might find it's a little on the easy side, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's genuinely good fun to play.

Nov 7, 2019The world of Cat Quest 2 is sizable, but there isn’t much complexity in its minute-to-minute gameplay. However that directness, along with how quickly you level up, finish quests, and discover new locations, can make it a hard game to put down. You handle one task at a time, so it’s easy to pick back up or add a second player. At 8 to 10 hours or so, depending on your focus and patience, this adventure ends abruptly but doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s challenging enough for solo players, but also fun for two players of any age and skill level.
-
Dec 9, 2019Cat Quest II is an action RPG filled with fun and well-humoured moments, featuring a colourful world and with a simple combat system and even if some sections can get repetitive and there's not much to do after the main campaign is over, this is an overall relaxing and welcome game that only adds another fun option to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.
-
Nov 20, 2019Cat Quest II does as any good sequel should, expanding upon the core design of its predecessor whilst also improving things in terms of visuals. Whilst the end result is slightly compromised, the attempt is admirable.
-
Oct 29, 2019Nothing about this game is particularly bad or warrants criticism, but at this point the lack of ambition or innovation makes play sessions feel more tedious than anything else.
