Though a bit uninspired, Brawlhalla still stands as a solid example of how to do a proper platform fighter, with several game modes, a diverse cast and a beautiful art style making this one easy to recommend. Perhaps best of all, it’s totally free, so you really don’t have anything to lose by giving it a try. At worst, you’ll find a Smash clone that doesn’t have a ton of new ideas; at best, you’ll find a new go-to for when you have a few friends over for a gaming session.

Brawlhalla is a great, free alternative to Super Smash Bros., but just doesn’t have the same spark that makes it stand out beyond that. Still, if you love the grind and want something new to play with your friends without needing an online subscription, this is a good choice.

As an arena fighting game, Brawlhalla draws constant comparisons with Smash on the Switch. Having just started playing both games I thinkAs an arena fighting game, Brawlhalla draws constant comparisons with Smash on the Switch. Having just started playing both games I think this is like comparing chess to draughts with Brawlhalla representing the latter.

The play-space for both games is pretty similar but the more intricate mechanics of Smash is likely to appeal to a different mood, if not different players entirely. For its part Brawlhalla is much more welcoming to new players with better skill-matching and, in my experience, a vastly superior online experience to Smash Ultimate's laggy gameplay. The "git gud" crowd may think this criticism is redundant but being matched with players who have much more experience is simply not fun and games are meant to be fun.

Taken in isolation, Brawlhalla is a good time and great value if you choose to unlock all the characters for a bit of cash. Although many fighters have similar mechanics there has clearly been time spent to provide good looking characters and you'll even find some indy legends along with characters from screens big and small to throw around the arena.

A nice way to pass the time. Nothing spectacular but still fast-paced and exciting to play.

While the gameplay is mostly passable, it is severely lacking in variation. On a more positive note, the characters have nice designs and there's a fair amount of variation in stages.

Ultimately, I don't see myself playing it for the extended future. It's alright as a fighting game (with a decent number of modes), but the free-to-play model really lowers, rather than raises, its accessibility for newcomers in my opinion. Basically, you're limited to certain characters at a given point in time, unless you buy them for permanent use with the game's non-premium coin currency, which, as far as I can tell, can only be earned online. Being a free-to-play game, there's also premium currency which you can buy with real money to use on various extras such as a skin that replaces a character with Shovel Knight.

In summary, Brawlhalla feels like an otherwise mediocre flash game with a lack of variation and lackluster gameplay overall. There are better options available for Switch.

Copia de super smash bros, so tem personagens quebrados com armas absurdas e com spamers irritantes
