    Perfect Handheld Borderlands experience, no matter how many times I have bought this game. On Nintendo Switch...it’s a completely new way of Borderlands Experience. Not like on Vita, there were massive problems with framerate.

    After buying this game at least 4 different times I finally took the plunge and bought the legendary collection for the Switch. I've never played borderlands so much or made it so far in my life. I enjoy everything about this game, and I suck at first person shooters. So if I can play it and enjoy it, that's saying a lot. Excellent port. Looks great runs smoothly and a gameplay loop thatAfter buying this game at least 4 different times I finally took the plunge and bought the legendary collection for the Switch. I've never played borderlands so much or made it so far in my life. I enjoy everything about this game, and I suck at first person shooters. So if I can play it and enjoy it, that's saying a lot. Excellent port. Looks great runs smoothly and a gameplay loop that makes it worth it. I'm starting with the first one and slowly but surely I will make it through the collection. All I can say after putting 35 hours into borderlands is that it's worth every penny. I also play it only in handheld with the joycons… Expand

It took me a little while to get started, but once I got into it I was hooked and couldn't put it down until the credits rolled at the end. Having completed it as Mordecai I plan to revisit the game and try some of the other playable characters, but I will probably move onto Borderlands 2 first.

    The game runs smooth with a unique cell-shaded look. The Switch's motion controls lend themselves well here and for the most part the game feels responsive. The available weapons and RPG-style levelling make for great gameplay. Sound design was flawless. The various enemies the game throws at the player made my flesh crawl, and so blowing their heads off was incredibly satisfying. The game felt challenging, but not impossible, throughout. And while the story was minimal it still drew me in.

    I highly recommend this and will definitely be playing the various sequels.    … Expand

    Over a decade later, Borderlands still offers righteous good times. The fact that you can now play it portably is just awesome so clear some space on your SD card and get ready to shoot some Midget Psychos in the head.
