Jul 29, 2019Great game. Terrible port. That's really all that has to be said about the Switch version of Bloodstained. I really hope Iga comes back and patches this for us!

Sep 14, 2019The Switch version of this game is lackluster. It looks like it was rushed in development or something. I hope they patch it and make it better. If they do I'll re-score it.

Sep 13, 2019meh, overrated; the gameplay has very clunky animations for the physics of the player, the maps are chaotic and generally not rewarding to explore and very repetitive.

Sep 6, 2019I enjoyed this game, but the performance on Switch is awful, and it has huge input lag that breaks the game for me. Developers should have worked more on this port as Switch is the most popular console for this type of game. Soundtrack is very nice. I would prefer Zangetsu as the main character, Miriam is very boring and bland.

Apr 3, 2021The controls for special attacks on the Switch are incredibly poor making accessing some of the areas, particularly the hidden ones, unreasonably difficult. What may have been a great game turned into a mediocre game due to poor controls. A real shame.

Aguardando novas updates.

Sep 18, 2019Good game, gets a bit boring quite soon But its still a solid title. I’m not experiencing any performance issues – Visuals are not the best patches made it good enough

Nov 13, 2022Although I enjoyed the gameplay and exploration during my playthrough, the crashes and loading time made me unlikely to recommend this game to people on this platform. Hopefully these get fixed in the future.

Nintendo Force MagazineOct 26, 2020Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a good game, don't get me wrong, but boy, waiting for it to become great has been a job in itself! [Issue #48 – September/October 2020, p. 72]

Nov 6, 2019By the time the final performance update drops it will be those who snatch the game at a sale price that will ultimately benefit the most. There’s a 1.04 update that is expected by the end of November, and I would bet money that it won’t be the last. It’s a real shame because underneath the stigma of a troubled release and a lost first impression of a polished product, lies a potentially magnificent game that holds true to what it once ambitiously set out to achieve.

Jul 30, 2019Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a game that many fans wanted and it does a very good job when it comes to its fan service duties. If only the game’s performance matched its level of challenge, this would be an unforgettable, indispensable title but unfortunately, Ritual of the Night’s framerate drops and strange inconsistencies make this an experience that could have been much more of a breeze. Fans of Metroidvania games will still find plenty to be happy about it, though.
