If you like Assassin's Creed, get this game. The game itself is good. However, I had this game corrupt my data twice in the first couple of sessions. And it took like 3 hours to restore my data each time.
I've been playing Rouge and my biggest problem with that is they don't let you customize anything until a certain point in the game which is annoying.

Quite a nice collection. I do have some issues, but on the whole, I'm quite pleased with it. It's a fantastic way to have 2 fun pirate adventures. Let's start off with the positives. Black Flag is still as fun as it always has been. Just being a pirate and sailing around, destroying random ships, is engrossing and wonderful. It's a fantastic way to have 2 fun pirate adventures. Let's start off with the positives. Black Flag is still as fun as it always has been. Just being a pirate and sailing around, destroying random ships, is engrossing and wonderful. Despite some graphic problems I'll address later, the game looks very pretty, with the light blue Caribbean waters being a highlight for me. Frame-rate is solid throughout, with only minor hitches here and there during large scale set pieces. Disappointingly though, the frame-rate is locked at 30 fps, when the PS3 version was unlocked. But even then, the PS3 version suffered from 7th generation piss-poor frame-rate, so at least it runs better. There are many nice extras with the collection, such as all previous DLC being included, so I get to live my dream by playing as Adewale. But now, I wanna get into negatives, because I like **** on a game I enjoyed. Rogue is... umm... Okay, ever since I first played it, Rogue has always been the disappointing younger brother to Ubisoft's bright son, Black Flag. Collision is messy, leading to many undeserved deaths. Ship fights feel less satisfying, with English ships you aren't allowed to destroy dotted around the map. And, more egregious for me, is the fact that Ubisoft was lazy and made Rogue a download only. I don't like downloads like this, because I've always just enjoyed putting the cartridge in and going at it (which is why I heavily dislike consoles like the PS4) and the fact that I was forced to delete some stuff to fit 8 gigs of mediocre Assassin's Creed kinda irks me. And then we have graphical issues. Black Flag didn't have any, with that game looking lovely and running smoothly, but for some reason, Rogue has many issues. And before you say anything, Rogue was installed to the internal storage instead of my SD card. I did this because I believed the following issues stemming from the SD install. But even after moving it to the Internal Storage, the issues never went away. First of all, it the disgusting dithering, which is most noticeable in River Valley. Whenever I get off my ship and explore a foresty area, the dithering covering the screen nearly gave me a migraine. I never saw this issue when playing Black Flag. Then there are all these strange clipping artefacts. Many times, the polygons on rocks or ship masts would clip onto each other, leading it looking very ratty. Again, this issue was only present on Rogue, and not Black Flag. There's a clear lack of anti-aliasing, and if there is, it's a very weak form of AA. This issue was present in both games, and was very annoying, as the sails and ropes of the ship would have all these aliasing artefacts, and the Abstergo building especially failing in this area. Another issue, well not issue but more of a disappointing fact, is that these are last-gen ports. I guess it is to be expected, as porting down the PS4 XBOX1 versions would've required much work for a budget collection, but it's still kinda lame. Even then, there are no clear upgrades from the last-gen versions. I did dust off my PS3 to check, and all I could tell was cleaner shadows, more Ambient Occlusion, and textures that either was updated or used a different texture filtering method. (I couldn't tell) Last, but certainly not least, is that Rogue would have multiple frame-rate dips below 20. This happened more often than expected, and would even happen when nothing was on screen. It's very strange. These issues did get lower in occurrence when switching from SD to internal, but even then, they never went away. So yeah, Rogue feels very thrown in, which is slightly sad, because I thought maybe this collection would change my mind on Rogue, but no, its still kinda lame. But despite all my **** I still had lots of fun with this collection. Black Flag is still the best AC game (well to be fair, I've never really enjoyed the other ones in the series. Maybe I'm just a pirate guy.) and worth the purchase alone. It's always on sale, so I do very recommend pick it up. Just know that Rogue is a bit of a mess, and that these are just last-gen ports. This is fun but Assassin’s Creed 2 was better. I stopped buying Assassin’s Creed after Assassin’s Creed 2 because I went to play exclusively on Nintendo consoles after my X-Box 360 and PS2 broke. I was so excited to pick this game up. But the long tutorial segment took away all my hype. I just wanna run around a city and hide form guards and it takes forever to get there. Gran port de los assassins creed de piratas. Aunque su dificultad es escasa, son juegos bastante amenos y entre los dos te dan muchas horas de entretenimiento.

While I really couldn't get into AC2 which supposedly is the best one, I go the exotic 4th one on the switch and have not been disappointed. This game switches things up, and while the story is slow to get moving I allowed me to spend some time in the Caribbean. AC Rogue is a very similar game, but set in a temperate climate. Just look at it as extra content.

Both games were quite good. I was not a huge fan of the sailing sequences in the Assassin's Creed games and unfortunately these games are VERY heavy on the sailing. The stealth and combat was a lot of fun. Also some of the best storytelling in the series.

This is a strange game to review. It’s so beautiful and so fun. But then, it also just sort of seems tedious and boring. The quests start feeling the same. Sailing around makes you start thinking about assisted suicide. But then it has these friggin beautiful moments.

What’s really striking about the two games in The Rebel Collection is that, like I said up top, unlike ACIII they’ve both aged fairly well. Both Black Flag and Rogue are excellent additions to your Switch library, and they’re well worth the dozens of hours you’ll get out of both.

If you don’t mind encountering several glitches along the way, then you’re sure to have a blast with Assassin’s Creed: Rebel Collection on Switch – particularly with Black Flag which remains one of the best entries in the Assassin’s Creed series.

The Rebel Collection is an all-around enjoyable and if you can understand that these games have some age to them, then I think anybody will find themselves enjoying it. Even those who have grown up with butter-smooth controls.
