Oct 15, 2020If you are first player, the game is amazing. If you're not... I stopped playing the game when I realize that I couldn't achieve some major developments or enjoy the full experience. Not even with another copy of the game...

Oct 23, 2020I simply cannot write a positive review of this game due to the one island for the entire console idiocy. Why did Nintendo choose to do such a stupid thing? My other games can handle it. Come on Nintendo, put out a patch!!

Oct 26, 2020If you have more than one person in your household that wants to play this game, everyone but the primary person is screwed. Only the primary person is gets the recipes to craft most of the furniture, and only the primary person can build homes for new residents or do any of the stuff required to advance the story. The other people can't even help out, other than gathering resources (woo fun).

Nov 19, 2020this game is very good (one of my favorite switch games) it’s very addictive because you build your village and do what you want, when you want and where you want, it’s one of the most realistic games on nintendo and so i think it deserves goty

Nov 19, 2020Animal Crossing: New Horizons is an excellent time waster for those who are bored. Many people have complained about the very slow pace of the game, which surprises me, because this is by far the fastest AC game so far. You'll enjoy it if you love cheery games and customization. However, this game lacked some content for awhile, but is being patched in via free updates. Great game.

Nov 29, 2020The multi-player policies tied to this game are truly outrageous—truly, truly, truly outrageous. It's always sad to see a well-crafted game brought to its demise by admin.

Dec 12, 2020I got it to play with my sister and some of my friends, but 20$ even for yearly internet usage is not that great for just one game, still good for a famliy usage.

Dec 13, 2020An escape of real life, Animal Crossing is relaxing and pure joy.

Dec 14, 2020Pretty great over all, sharing a island might be lame, but I'm not a child who has to share his switch with brothers and sisters like a lot of these babies in the reviews giving the game a 0. Pretty relaxing and expands on mostly everything from the last games.
-
Dec 15, 2020The one island per switch thing is nonsense, instant 0/10. This is something I'd expect from EA, not a respectable company like I thought nintendo was
-
Mar 23, 2021This game is pointless and stupid. I don’t understand why the reviews are so good. Progression is slow. The tasks are repetitive. No sense of accomplishment. If you like spinning in circles for hours, then you’ll like this game

Dec 25, 2020I'm sure this game is awesome, but too bad I'll never play it. I can't give a game a score above 0 if it isn't even playable to myself and many others (yeah secondary players can join an island, but let's be real they can't do much). Needing 1 console per player is insane, I hope they fix this some day.

Dec 27, 2020Don't understand the high high reviews on Animal crossing new horizons. You CANNOT play this game as a family unless you have an additional switch with an additional game cart. This is a money grab by nintendo..

Dec 28, 2020Best game of 2020, liked city folk, loved new horizons. A must play for every type of gamer!
-
Dec 28, 2020So disappointing the whole family can’t play on there own island. Huge let down from Nintendo. Why be so greedy :(
-
Dec 29, 2020Brought this “game” for my girlfriend for Christmas, not being told upfront that having a second island is locked behind a £350 pay wall (having to buy a second console and second game) to enjoy your own island really sucks!! 1 star because the developers tried to make a good game but greedy exes stepped in once again smh -.-
-
Dec 29, 2020I absolutely love this game! The gameplay feels nice, and the customization is a step up from New Leaf, the first Animal Crossing game I ever played. If you want local, same console multiplayer, this game is not for you. The local, different console multiplayer and online multiplayer where you visit other player islands is really nice. I'd recommend this game if you have a Switch.
-
Dec 31, 2020Beautiful game but the fact that you can’t have your own island on a different user is very annoying. Been waiting to play the game for ages and I’m now either the awful step-mum that won’t let her step-son change her island etc or I have to fork out another £50 for a new game card!

Jan 4, 2021This game is a masterpiece, the best Animal Crossing. I just cant stop playing it.

Dec 19, 2020Animal Crossing New Horizons is basically perfect. Full of wholesome content that helped us cope with the COVID-19 pandemics, the game keeps the heart of its predecessors while innovating enough to make it unique. It may not have won Game of the Year but it'll be the game we all remember from 2020, for sure.
-
Jun 22, 2020Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a stunning new instalment in the Animal Crossing franchise, hindered only by its lack of immediate content, quality of life issues and missing returning characters and features While future updates will give the game long-term playability, for those already sipping vacation juice on their five-star islands, island life feels pretty mundane right now.
-
CD-ActionMay 12, 2020It’s full of detail, pretty small things, and surprisingly well working simulations and systems – everything polished in such a way that the player really does care about everything that’s going on. [06/2020, p.40]
