Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus was awesome on the vita. Despite the clunky controls (featured also in the Playstation 3 Version), this port was as excellent as the PS3 Version. It was a great Handheld experience, showing what the Vita is capable of.

Now we got Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. A game featured in the current Generation. And to describe it in a few words, this port goes from decent to horrible. It feels more like playing a beta. When it comes to performance, this port sucks. The original game plays smooth with 60 Frames. This port features only 30 Frames. That's not a big issue, judging by it's predecessor also running only at 30 Frames. But the game lacks in overall performance. Gameplay feels slow. Sometimes, when it get's messy, the game is below this 30 Frames. In a few Levels, it's almost not playable. And the worst is, The Anti Aliasing says goodbye when you came back from the menues or when to many enemies inhabits the screen. So in this short moments, the game is full of Jaggies. It looks like a PSP Game.

Cutscenes are pre rendered compared to the original Sigma 2. The ingame graphics are still nice. It shows what is possible on the vita. But the nice graphics paid a high price. It's a shame, Tecmo. But even with these nice graphics, the game may play smoother if the developers put more effort into this port.

But still, Ninja Gaiden 2 is one hell of an Action Game. It's still so much fun. A little bonus, Tecmo included the gore and the uncensored Cutscenes from the Xbox 360 version. The amount of blood is still the same as in the Playstation 3 version (this choice was probably made because of the overall bad performance).
For a Ninja Gaiden fan, this port is still Ok. But you may grab this for a few bucks. Maybe Tecmo will release a patch. But this may never happen. 5/10 for the bad performance. The Game is still worth a 9/10.

Ninja gaiden Sigma+ 2 is not as awesome as it was previously as Sigma+ was. NGS+2 is the sequel to its successor Ninja Gaiden. Story follows up right after the first one but its not as interesting as it was. Basically Ninja Gaiden story is just an excuse for the gameplay. So dont expect to c such a brilliant story. Beside what it offers its the Gameplay. The game is as action as previous one, a little bit easier but still u can go to higher difficulties. It doest have Online unfortunately which is a big disappointment due to the fact that things such as TAG MISSIONS sounds to be more fun when they are online otherwise playing it in a single player mod is nothing new to the gamer. There are few other modes that you can enjoy beside the single player.
single player runs through more than 15 hours and its hugely varied and fun and action packed, you get chance to play as other 3 characters but still Ryu is the best Ayane is still fun but the others are not that much attractive. One thing that hurts the gameplay is the inconsistency of the FRAME RATE. when the scene is populated the FPS drops below 30 perhaps around 24 FPS which makes the game kind of unplayable but what u can do is to increase the camera speed in options and wait to c will team ninja release a patch for it or no. the graphics are way better, environmental textures are better, character models are much better and AA helps to sharpen the graphics in vita screen. everything is good till the number of enemies are more than 4-5 in one scene and then the performance drops. sounds like sometimes the AA gets removed to keep the FPS between 24 to 28 even I hope to c a patch cuz its a good game IF u like the NG buy it if you are the FAN buy it if not wait to c will there be a patch or not

Lag issues, camera issues, control issues are very much apparent in this version. I gave it a 6 anyway. Why? Everything that I expected from the awesome NGS 2 came out in this version. It is as fun as it would always be as a Ninja Gaiden title but when the lag comes in, it becomes quite a drag, Nevertheless, it is still an awesome port with some additional features, A good game to pass the time.

Of course being on the vita, the game has performance issues. MAJOR. Slowdown is frequent and occasionally, the resolution will drop quite a bit for no reason and framerate issues are quite common too. Other than that, the game is the ninja gaiden sigma 2 that we all know and love. If you don't mind performance issues like me, then by all means buy this game. If not, then I recommend passing this one up. Expand

If you’re looking for Vita Ninja Gaiden then pick up the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. It’s a much more solid purchase.
