    It may not be more than the sum of its parts, but it’s still a fun action adventure and definitely a worthy sequel to Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Just don’t expect to be blown away by the sometimes convoluted story.

    This is a solid effort at porting Ninja Gaiden 2 – one of the best hack and slash titles of this generation – to a handheld. Unfortunately, it still has the poor camera and occasionally sloppy level design of the original, problems that are further compounded by the Vita’s small screen.

    Performance aside, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is a razor-sharp sequel that delivers over-the-top cut scenes, special moves and pulverizing attacks. Final verdict: A quality on-the-go beat-em-up that should find its way into your Vita library.

    Recommended if you don't have any other platform to enjoy the game on. It's a great action title, but the additions won't justify a second or third purchase if you already have this title.

    Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is a great port that Mixes depth original combat system from Ninja Gaiden 2 and variety of content from Sigma 2. Good and challenging new modes, but with some engine issues for another version of one of the best hack and slash in this last decade.

    Ryu Hayabusa is back in PlayStation Vita, wielding his legendary Dragon sword to unleash a ninja-action storm on our 5" screens. This game is a good option for those who like action games, although some technical shortcomings can hinder the experience, and the difference between this and the PS3 version is very narrow.

    For a good hack-and-slash experience on the Vita, and for fans of the Ninja Gaiden franchise, Sigma 2 Plus is an enjoyable game. If you can ignore problems like the camera, and invisible walls, you will have fun mowing down ninjas, monsters, and freaky giant bosses.

    Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is not the game for whom has already played the counterpart on PS3 or XboX 360. With that said, the last portable instalment of the series is a good action game for everyone.

    Despite the occasional slowdown and sometimes unpolished presentation, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is a fine, fast, and furious choice on the road. Just be on the lookout for other ninjas. They be everywhere.

    Yeah, I know, there is no co-op and Japanese Voices. But it's still Ninja Gaiden 2, you can't change this. It's fast, it's godamn hard and theYeah, I know, there is no co-op and Japanese Voices. Despite the clunky controls (featured also in the Playstation 3 Version), this port was as excellent as the PS3 Version. It was a great Handheld experience, showing what the Vita is capable of.

    Now we got Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. A game featured in the current Generation. And to describe it in a few words, this port goes from decent to horrible. It feels more like playing a beta. When it comes to performance, this port sucks. The original game plays smooth with 60 Frames. This port features only 30 Frames. That's not a big issue, judging by it's predecessor also running only at 30 Frames. But the game lacks in overall performance. Gameplay feels slow. Sometimes, when it get's messy, the game is below this 30 Frames. In a few Levels, it's almost not playable. And the worst is, The Anti Aliasing says goodbye when you came back from the menues or when to many enemies inhabits the screen. So in this short moments, the game is full of Jaggies. It looks like a PSP Game.

    Cutscenes are pre rendered compared to the original Sigma 2. The ingame graphics are still nice. It shows what is possible on the vita. But the nice graphics paid a high price. It's a shame, Tecmo. But even with these nice graphics, the game may play smoother if the developers put more effort into this port.

    But still, Ninja Gaiden 2 is one hell of an Action Game. It's still so much fun. A little bonus, Tecmo included the gore and the uncensored Cutscenes from the Xbox 360 version. The amount of blood is still the same as in the Playstation 3 version (this choice was probably made because of the overall bad performance).
    For a Ninja Gaiden fan, this port is still Ok. But you may grab this for a few bucks. Maybe Tecmo will release a patch. But this may never happen. 5/10 for the bad performance. The Game is still worth a 9/10.    … Full Review »
