    If you love grinding through monster after monster in the quest for more XP (and better all the skills and weapons better XP will bring you). If you don't mind reading the same lines over and over again (believe me: what's funny the first time you read it is a lot less so the twentieth). If you have the patience to buy fifty healing herbs one by one by one. If your heart goes pitter-patter upon hearing 8-bit music with the slightest bit of airy static in the background. If that describes you, then you need to get on this game immediately — and if it doesn't, then you'll probably be better off looking elsewhere.

    I thought that this game was a good throwback to the days of RPGs gone by.. But it did leave me wanting more..

    I found that I was constantly either wandering around wondering what to do because of the often vague quest instruction, or grinding level after level in order to get gear so the next plateau of enemy difficulty won't one shot kill me. I also thought that given the amount of fighting, there was a lack of varied equipment to choose from.

    Thankfully they recently patched in a run button and fixed an issue with not being able to run from battle very easily, because you'll be spending 90% of your time in battle grinding.    … Full Review »

    This is a great little throwback to the era of Dragon Warrior and Dragon Quest, with a humorous twist on the formula. If you liked those old games, you will enjoy Dragon Fantasy.

    Also, the ps3 and Vita versions have a graphical upgrade that makes it look more like a 16 bit game instead of 8 bit.    … Full Review »
