    Thought this looked good but boy was i wrong. Boring game play, pretty much a walking sim and super long load times (the longest ive experienced on ps5 by a long long way). A good concept but poor execution.

    Good game but becomes repetitive really fast. It should play more with the two worlds challenge the players more or to give Them multiple choices to perform the same thing... The way it was designed made this two worlds existance kind of irrelevant, as it is a straight up scripted line to resolve the puzzles.

Не ожидал от игровой студии, которая должна ориентироваться на обычных игроков и то, чтобы дарить людям хорошие эмоции…что студия будет наказывать обычных людей за решения принятые правительством! Раз игровая студия решила вмешаться в политику, то и оценку она получит не за игру!Всегда считал, что игры вне политики! Не ожидал от игровой студии, которая должна ориентироваться на обычных игроков и то, чтобы дарить людям хорошие эмоции…что студия будет наказывать обычных людей за решения принятые правительством!     This game is extremely boring. For a game called The Medium, it sure does a terrible job at taking advantage of the medium. I should have done my research before picking up this game. One would assume by the cover that we would play as some anime girl that shoots white stuff out of her hands to beat up some monsters. There is practically no combat in this game. There is practically no combat in this game. All you do in this game is walk and watch cutscenes. This isn't even a game, this is a movie.

    $50 is too expensive for a game that took me only 7 hours to beat. I would have beaten this game faster had I not fell asleep halfway through the game out of boredom. The puzzles are trash. The animations are PS2 quality. Speaking of animations, the developers were too cheap and lazy to make the protagonist use the tools and interact with objects in real-time. The split-screen stuff is annoying. The story is garbage. The camera angles are horrendous. The player movement is sluggish and the protagonist runs too slow.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, this game will go back to the shelf and collect dust. Charging $50 for a game with no replay value is a cashgrab. There isn't even any split-screen multiplayer, despite the presence of the dual-reality split-screen thing. This goes to show how greedy and lazy the developers are. I don't recommend this "game" at all.    … Expand

Only gave it a chance because they gave it away for free on PS plus extra, well like most games on the PS plus extra now it's clearer why they gave it away for free. Although even for free I couldn't play through the first hour of this idiotic game. If you're into poor game design, poor voice acting and pathetic character design, a boring storyMust be the most stupid game I've ever seen. Maybe if the developers used that same money they've spent to have people lie here on the user reviews for development rather than propoganda and hired anyone with any talent it could've been a mediocre game, but it's stupid and boring, complete snoozefest and pretty embarrassing to witness… Expand

    Was reading all these people saying how grand this game is. Is there jump scares? Well yes. But that doesn't matter when the actual gameplay and game mechanics suck ass. The saving feature hardly works correctly. The moth (saving mechanic) popped up way prior to where it put me back at just now. So it obviously doesn't even know what the hell it's doing.     The game is just pure garbage. 0 redeeming qualities. The narrative is boring, the lore is achingly dull, the gameplay is that of a walking simulator but sometimes with a split screen. The gimmick of the two worlds falls flat and isn’t used to its fullest potential, the puzzles are incredibly easy and the game isn’t scary, tense or suspenseful in the slightest.     Loves the atmosphere, but the uninspired and annoying chases and 'sneak' minigames completely ruined it for me

    All in all, The Medium is a good game, but not revolutionary and certainly not the new king of the genre. The story and atmosphere will stay with you long after finishing it, but the gameplay has a lot of room for improvement. If you prioritize a good story and a masterfully crafted atmosphere The Medium will not disappoint.

    Despite some impressive DualSense implementation, the blemishes embedded into The Medium's gameplay and narrative still show on PS5. While The Medium is an intriguing horror game, it certainly isn't a great one.

    With each game they release, Bloober Team continues to make strides, and The Medium is another such step. It has an intriguing story with intriguing characters. The game also has a nifty mix of old and new gameplaying elements.
