    While the price for this remake is high there is no way that this game is objectively a zero like many other people are rating it. Everything has been completely redone while still remaining true to the original experience. However, by far the largest change is the adjustments to AI. Playing through on hard difficulty, the game is much more difficult due to the AI improvements. The Last of Us will always be one of my favourite video games of all time, I’ve fully completed the main story of the original/remaster around 30 times, and put over 400 hours into TLoU remastered, and as someone who’s played the game so much I can tell just how much better this remake is in every way. In 2013 Naughty Dog was limited by the technology of the time on PS3, but now with this PS5 remake they were able to fully reach their original vision for TLoU. The Last of Us Part I shows what The Last of Us would’ve been like if it released in 2022 instead of 2013, and it’s beautiful. The added accessibility options are incredible as they allow more players the ability to play this game, because some people might not have been able to play the original game due to the lack of accessibility options at the time, so this remake definitely justifies its existence for many reasons. This remake keeps the same amazing story, performances, and soundtrack as the original, while improving every other aspect of the game. The Last of Us Part I is the definitive way to experience The Last of Us, the graphics, attention to detail, sound design, gameplay, AI, UI, character models, accessibility options, and more are all way better than in the original and remastered versions of the game. Also the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are awesome, they definitely add more immersion to the game, same with the 3D audio. It’s funny how people are reviewing this remake without even experiencing the remake for themselves. And people who claim to be “fans” of the original are giving the best version of the game a 0/10 which makes no sense, if you think it’s too expensive that fine, but that doesn’t justify giving the game a 0, plus the Demon’s Souls remake was also full price so why wouldn’t TLoU remake also be full price? If you’re someone who’s thinking about getting this game please only listen to the reviews from people who have actually played and completed The Last of Us Part I remake, as someone who completed it I think it’s amazing and worth it.     A clear Cash Grab. Claiming the game was “Built from the ground up” is a flat out lie, the gameplay is unchanged from the original. Not to mention the multiplayer was removed.

    This is release only improved graphics, if you never bought this game before, feel free to buy ps4 remastered for less than $20. This $70 release is not worth, naughty dog and sony are truly greedy.

    This was my first time playing Last Of Us. I just got a PS5 and I initially started to play the free (older) remastered version, but it was clear that the old graphics weren't going to do the emotional performances justice. I wanted to get the best experience during my first playthrough, so I dropped the cash on this and I'm so happy I did.

    The performances were spectacular. Such an emotional story. The environments were lush and beautiful. And I loved it.

    Only down sides for me were the fact that the infected felt like an afterthought. Every time I encountered a bunch of them I would dread it because it just felt like filler between me and the main storyline. But fortunately there weren't too many huge encounters so I didn't feel like I was pulled away form the story too long.

    All-in-all one of the best games out there. Good mix of stealth and survival.    … Expand

    One of my best games. It has a great story, gameplay, emotional, adventure, and horror game. And the remake version, it's gave you sense that you are playing that game for the first time and I liked it

    Last of Us Part I is so so good man, they improved a-lot of things from the PS4 and PS3 version. The game looks incredible and I am very happy to play this masterpiece with amazing visuals man. However this game should be cheaper and it is definitely not worth $70 but if it is on sale I highly recommend getting. I’m very glad this wasn’t like GTA Trilogy and how buggy it was.

    Is the same experience from the original game in 2013, but better in all aspects. Sound design with the Dualsense is gonna give you a really good sensation while playing.
    Honestly, if you played the original before, wait for a sale, because Sony decided to charge a 2013 game at full price for some reason XD.

    Best game ever made to this date.Now with next-gen graphics whats not to love ? :) I will happily buy this for full price to support creators in naughty dog which will lead to PART 3 (PLEASE) :)

    probably the weirdest remake in this decade . To be honest its not full remake to me , of course there are several upgrades but nothing changed in gameplay/story and whats bad is Factions was removed . The remake is good but not for 70$ most of the people bomb this game because of the price . Its good remake but not for 70$ . If price would be 50$ people wouldnt bomb it .

    As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
