    This is one of the greats as far as Sony IPs, but the $70 price tag on a game that has minimal improvements and dated gameplay mechanics makes this a hard pill to swallow. I'm not so petty as to give this a 0 as some here have, but this is overpriced and incomplete.

    It looks great but you can’t really justify spending $70(more in other countries) on a game that feels so dated and out of place. This would be better as a rental as it doesn’t even have any of the multiplayer features.

    It has very good graphics, but it’s not what they promised regarding the gameplay, it has new textures and resolution, but it keeps the same Gameplay, Movements, Story and All the same scenes, low fps. The Last of Us Part I: besides, it is also the most Expensive Remake in the History of Video Games, they are selling it more expensive than Resident Evil 2 & Fanal Fantasy VII Remake, butIt has very good graphics, but it’s not what they promised regarding the gameplay, it has new textures and resolution, but it keeps the same Gameplay, Movements, Story and All the same scenes, low fps.     While this game does admittedly deliver very nice graphics and is the same Last Of Us we all know and love, this is very dull when we consider this is a game released nearly a decade ago and it's $70 and it doesn't even have multiplayer like the first Last Of Us did!     If you put gameplay and story over better graphics, dont buy this game and just buy the ps4 remaster. This game has nothing to do with a remake. It is just a re-remaster with better graphics.

    If you already played original don’t waste your money. If you haven’t, and you have some extra cash you can throw it here or buy original and you will not lose much of experience:)

    Bought the game to play the new updated Factions which I enjoyed so much many years ago and it's not there? How could I have paid more money than the original and there is less content? What a rip off, i'm seriously pissed off.

It was a golden opportunity for the criminal Neil druckman and his colleagues to include separate ways for Tommy; when he was in the firefly, his past events. How joel and tess met and their past events. Then Marlene and ellie's events before they met Joel and tess for the job to smuggle her. But they chosed to be lazy. These additions would've been amazing and definitely worth it, not this copy and paste game. Again don't buy. We need to start teaching this greedy company some lesson because they're taking us for a ride.… Expand

    A "Remake" that is nothing more then a Remaster from a Remaster for 70€. Look at Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core where Square Enix even said it will be a Remaster. Sony and ND try to sell the same Game (what is a little overhyped btw.) for a third Time under the Banner: "Remake".

    A missed oportunity of greatness !
    Comparison to the Remastered version:
    Improvements: 1.Graphical fidelity (poligon count) in character models and assets (almost everything is new and looks awesome) 2. Facial animations expressing Emotions almost realisticly 3. The accessibility features are awesome although disabled people shouldnt be milked 70$ for it, if ND cared for the disabled they    A missed oportunity of greatness !
    Comparison to the Remastered version:

    Improvements: 1.Graphical fidelity (poligon count) in character models and assets (almost everything is new and looks awesome) 2. Facial animations expressing Emotions almost realisticly
    3. The accessibility features are awesome although disabled people shouldnt be milked 70$ for it, if ND cared for the disabled they could patch most of it into the Remaster and save them 50$
    4. 3D Audio is good but its actually surround sound rebranded, but still a lot better than the remaster and improves the immersion

    Dissapointing:
    1. Ellie cant dodge or go prone (not only in base game but also in Left behind)
    2. Characters look much older , Joel looks older than in TLOU2, Ellie looks 5 years older. Tess looks realy old so it feels not as emotional when she dies like in the Remaster (because she seemed younger it was harder to let go)
    3. The AI improvements are not as good as advertised, enemies rarely flank and Ellie still sometimes runs in front of them while in a stealth section
    4. The DualSense features are not as good as advertised, especially the different guns feel almost the same when shooting (except the shotgun), bow is decent at best
    5. Characters clip sometimes trough Joel when getting in cover (ex: Ellie or Tess when covering with Joel next to him)
    6. The Remaster ran at 1800p/60fps, this one runs at 1440p/60fps in performance mode.
    7. Some textures are low res like books and TV which is especially noticable.
    8. Lack of multiplayer (They will charge you another 70$ for it)
    9. Loading screens indicate that the game was built on a PS4 engine because it does not use the PS5 deco pression (look at NXGamer review on YouTube, on his channel not IGN ponies)
    10. Bugs and glitches are present, especially when taken ojt by explosions.
    11. The game costs 70$ which is more than the Original, Remaster or even TLOU2 when it came out.
    12. No improvements to gameplay so the game looks like a downgrade to TLOU2.
    13. Graphics were made in an PS4 engine so the game doesnt look much better than TLOU2.
    14. Camera mode centers around Joel/Ellie and is pretty much pointless because of it.
    10. Game is a ps5 exclusive and looks almost the same as TLOU4 and plays worse and less fluid (although TLOU2 is a PS4 game)    … Expand

    Loved the original, finished singleplayer 3 times (PS3 and PS4), multiplayer was absolutely amazing, one of best multiplayer modes. Why is multiplayer gone from remake is beyond me. Also there's no discount for owners of the PS4 remaster. I am not paying $70 for a game I already paid for 2 times and it lacks multiplayer. BIG disappointment.

    For 70 bucks I was expecting the gameplay mechanics of the last of us part 2 reworked for the last of us part 1. Like the ability to go prone and the 3 different stages of enemy AI. This is just an overpriced remaster. The graphics aren't that much better than the original. . Wait for a sale

Even though Neil Druckmann assures that this is a Remake, I can confidently say that it is not. It is the exact same as the 2013 release, with missing content (The multiplayer) that costs more than the original.

    Although the graphics do look nice, they're just    The Last Of Us Part 1, to put it simply, is a cash grab to try and bank on the nostalgia of the oldest fans of this franchise.     Although the graphics do look nice, they're just graphics. They don't define what a great, or even a masterpiece of a video game should be. It should be the gameplay and how it's played, and compared to TLoU P2, it is a complete downgrade. That game introduced the prone mechanic and the the dodge mechanic, both that are removed from the this game. The reason for a "remake" is to improve upon the original game, by upgrading the game with modern gameplay mechanics, like the Resident Evil 2 Remake. That game deserves a remake because the original game released more then 2 decades ago and do not compare to the games for today's standards.

    Not only that, but I'm 90% sure that the HUD and the icons are just a lazy port from TLoU P2. The icon for Abby's pistol is the exact same as Joel's pistol.

    That being said, you can experience the exact same game with more content on the PS4 release, which is conveniently available for the PS5 as well. If you're reading this, I highly recommend you buy that version instead.    … Expand

    I can't rly put in words how much ND disappointed me the last years.
    I've been such a huge fan of the original game and of the Uncharted series. ND Was BY FAR my fav developers.I even thougt part 2 was an ok game w fun mechanics.
    But 70$ for smth I PLAYED FOR FREE on the ps5? How can someone be so disgusting to their fanbase? I can literally buy 3-4 maybe even 5 games on sale w that    I can't rly put in words how much ND disappointed me the last years.

O Playstation 5 não consegue rodar de forma estável em 60 fps em um jogo lançado a 9 anos atras, pois isso não é um remake, e sim um REMASTER bem porco com muitos bugs, desde gráficos até a IA dos inimigos.

    Original TLOU it's one of the best games ever, played it several times on ps3 and ps4, i don't wanna play it again even for free, but 70$ for literally the same game, yes, better graphics, so what? Where is the multiplayer? This is not a remake, it's a reremaster. Where is the fundamental upgrades like in RE2 remake? None, cashgrab, gg sony and ND. Keep up the good work.

    As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
