    The Last of Us is a great game, one of the best but a remaster again was a waste of time.

    I’m confused by all the hate this is getting. I (blasphemously) played TLOU2 first as I didn’t have a PS when the original came out. I tried to play the reMASTER (caps for clarity, not yelling) after and couldn’t get into it because it was just such a significant step down in gameplay and visuals. I just picked up the reMAKE TLOU1 on sale and it’s excellent. It feels next gen and isI’m confused by all the hate this is getting. There are limitations, e.g. the gameplay is still a bit limited, but it doesn’t dominate the experience.

    I agree with most that the $70 is too much for a remake that has already been wildly successful, but this is a great game and these scores should be about the game, not social commentary. I bought it for 30% off and feel like it’s a fair price for what I’m getting. This game is a solid 8, with 2 points deducted for limited movement (compared to TLOU2).    … Expand

O jogo em si é a mesma coisa do jogo de 2013 que foi lançado pra PS3, porém, diferente de Demon'sThe Last of Us Part I ou como foi carinhosamente apelidado The Last of Us Remastered Remake é o terceiro lançamento desse jogo incrível. Para ganhar dinheiro no Hype da serie que está sendo produzida pela HBO, The Last of Us Part I é um Remake extremamente desnecessário, porem muito bem vindo. O jogo em si é a mesma coisa do jogo de 2013 que foi lançado pra PS3, porém, diferente de Demon's Souls que estava preso na geração do PS3 devido a falta de retrocompatibilidade do PS4 com o PS3, o The Last of Us original de PS3 teve um segundo lançamento intitulado The Last of Us Remastered que era basicamente o mesmo jogo rodando com uma resolução maior e com 60 fps. A principal diferença de The Last of Us Part I para o Remastered são claramente os gráficos, vegetações, animações e uma atenção especial para a bancada de upgrades do The Last of Us part II. Porem, embora para mim isso não faça diferença, deve ser mencionado também que o modo online presente em nos lançamentos para PS3 e PS4 não está presente nesse Remake para PS5. Portanto The Last of Us Part I é um jogo menor que seu original. Porem, levando em consideração apenas o modo história, é de fato uma versão definitiva, em bora não acrescente quase nada de novo e se vc possui qualquer uma das versões anteriores não vale a pena comprar pelo preço de R$ 350 que a Sony está pedindo.… Expand

    Some journeys are better the second time around, and The Last of Us Part 1 was certainly one of those for me. I thought the original game was good, maybe even great, but not amazing. The ending was jarring to me, I had mixed feelings, and my thoughts on the characters were questionable at best. Going back for a second round knowing the general outcome before it happened however brought a different level of excitement to me, and perhaps a bit of comfort going on a journey I already knew I had enjoyed. I was excited to experience the story again with the improved visuals and improved gameplay, which really looked fantastic on PS5. The lighting, the scenery, the characters and even the enemies all had a new life brought into them which made the experience feel more cinematic and even better. I got to really spend time focusing on what made the journey unique and great and not only wondering what would happen next, and it pushed the experience up for me even more as a result. Now I can say with full confidence that while The Last of Us may not be perfect, it is amazing. Part 1 is without a doubt the definitive version of this game and a must play for both existing fans and certainly anyone who hasn’t gone on this journey before, as I believe it’s an experience every gamer should have.… Expand

    Ok… as the last remastered: there is no need for this if we had real retro compatibility. For me is an 8 because the original was a 10 masterpiece, and remastered was a 9 for the same reason. This is unnecessary. Overall still a masterpiece

    In fact, in addition to the huge visual changes, the gameplay really feels different compared to the original, but this is not part 2 level. For those who are not familiar with the original, this will be a great purchase, the rest I recommend waiting for the discount.

    С удовольствием перепрошел на PS5 а те кто говорят что это ленивый Ремастер ничего кроме смеха не вызывают.
    Спасибо, PlayStation Studios за качественно проделанную работу.

    Great game and series. TLOU part 1 on PS5 is the best way the play this game. I've played the PS3, PS4 and now the PS5. I do believe they took some assets from PS4 and just polished them. However with that said, TLOU part 1 is one of the best looking games ever.

    First things first, I'd give the game an 8,5/10 with a small points deduction for the price, but overall it's still a fanastic game and it looks better than ever in my opinion.
    That being said, I think everyone should tak a few things into consideration before you buy this game.
    If you: - Can spare the money - If you have a PS5 (obviously) - If you don't have the remastered version    First things first, I'd give the game an 8,5/10 with a small points deduction for the price, but overall it's still a fanastic game and it looks better than ever in my opinion.
    That being said, I think everyone should tak a few things into consideration before you buy this game.
    If you:
    - Can spare the money
    - If you have a PS5 (obviously)
    - If you don't have the remastered version for PS4
    this one is worth it in my opinion.

    If you however already have the PS4 version and you're really only looking for an excuse to play it again I'd either go with the remastered version or wait for a sale. That's what I did and I'm content with my decision as the price tag of 80€ really was the only part that I wasn't happy with.    … Expand

    the original and remaster are masterpieces, however this version is the worst remake of all time. literally just better graphics, but not even that much of a graphical jump cus the original and remaster aren't that old. graphics are the only change and it is criminally overpriced. so much for being a "remake"

Part 2, которая выходила в 2020 году, на обновленном движке, с новой анимацией, с геймплейными нововведениями, с новым 20+ часов сюжетом - стоила 60$.Лучшая версия этой игры на данный момент. Но 70$ это не стоит. Это все та же игр, что и была в 2013 году, только с обновленной графикой. The game is great as always, you can't expect anything other than this issue, but in my opinion, 70$ is too much, it is worth 50$, and I had two expectations: one, that more details would be worked on, and one, that the feature of the system for making space in version 2 would be added to it. And there are still a bunch of bugs, I wish they would have been fixed, otherwise they don't have any problems, this game is great as always.… Expand

    Part1 is a great way to re experience one of my favorite games. Feels like a missed opportunity. Hard to give the remake an 8 when I gave the 2013 classic a solid 10 masterpiece, given that this version is way superior to the original, that's for sure.

    I guess the problem is the 70USD price and the "remake" product tag. If inserting the ps4 disc of the remastered version they would have given you like a 10USD option to upgrade into Ps5 digital version, I would have given the game a solid 10. It's too expensive for a graphic and creative upgrade that is comparable to fan made MODs and has nothing to do with a "remake".

    The game structure is intact, for those who completed the game several times, we can tell everything is exactly the same. I was waiting for a new DLC story based like left behind, the story about Marlene crossing the US after getting shot, her journey to St Marys hospital, or maybe a history about Joel & Tommy surviving during the 20-year period after that night at the game's intro. But no, nothing. Not a single thing is changed. That's why this game sparked the discussion about what is a remake and what is a remaster. I'm thinking about bluepoint games and demon souls, they kept the original essence while creating a whole new game, a complete overhaul of the game structure, that's the remake for me.

    I'm still giving it an 8 because I really enjoyed how the Ps5 underlines the tech to boost the storytelling and gameplay experience. There are slight changes, the way Joel expresses his pain in his facial features is amazing and is something new. The haptic feedback & the triggers were nice additions too for "feeling" the world and objects you interact with. It's hard to come to terms with the 70 USD package. I feel they took advantage of my love of this game and really profited from that. I bought the original, and then the remastered, and now a 70USD remake with no upgrade path for previous owners and no additional content. Likewise, I know nobody forced me into buying those games, I guess when you love something you are hooked on it. I love Naughty Dog.    … Expand

    After finishing The Last of Us Part 1 and completing it in its entirety, I can now say that it is one of my favorite games of all time. Everything from the characters to the enemies and the combat was done flawlessly; I can even imagine this being the best way to play The Last of Us Part 1 if you have never played it before.     I played this game before but as a huge fan of The Last Of Us franchise I simply HAD to get the PS5 version. It did not disappoint! Graphics and gameplay have improved massively, better than TLOU II even, graphics wise. Yes the story is exactly the same, although there is a free DLC as well. Anyone who somehow hasn’t played the game definitely should check this out, and for the rest - it’sI played this game before but as a huge fan of The Last Of Us franchise I simply HAD to get the PS5 version. Secondly, it depends on how much you value graphics, melee and upgrade systems (the fighting mechanics and upgrades were really the only things I’d say changed from the gameplay perspective). Suppose for me it was nice to see Ellie and Joel from the start again as well. So I would definitely recommend this game, but with the above caveats.… Expand

    I originally only finished it way back on PS3. After getting half way through the show my wife wanted to see the game, so picked the remake up from the library and she started watching me play through it. But she got bored during all the combat parts especially if I was doing it as stealth. So put it all the way down to easiest to speed it up. But after the show finished, which we bothI originally only finished it way back on PS3.     Very terrible writing, gameplay sucks. If you like watching movies this game is for you as there is more cutscenes then gameplay.

    As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
