    This is a game that didn't raise expectations, but it surprised a lot.Gameplay ok, graphics very good and a nice story.

    I completed the game in 6 hours in my first casual playthrough. The game is nice and looks incredible.
    The story is interesting. Behind it, the lore is melancholic. The ending, however, is somewhat disappointing. I wished it stretched out a bit more.

As I play as a cat, I can hit billiard balls on a pool table, drop objects from a ledge that can make someone angry, meow to grab someone's attention, wear a paper bag around my head which confuses my movement, adorably rest on a blanket next to someone who watches me, scratch against the doors to alert someone from the other side, ride on a small bucket that is attached on a zipline, crawl through tight holes that others can't, much more I can't keep on listing them here. Basically, I can do almost everything that cats do.
    I like the soundtrack. It fits with the sneakiness, swiftness, and cuteness of the mysterious cat.    … Expand

    This game is truly exceptional. Don't expect it to be a serious challenge - it's reasonably easy to beat and a simple concept in terms of mechanics, but the experience and story are a beauty to behold. The only thing letting it down is the length, since the world is so rich and lovingly crafted you just want to explore it and its lore for longer than the reasonably short time that the gameThis game is truly exceptional. Don't expect it to be a serious challenge - it's reasonably easy to beat and a simple concept in terms of mechanics, but the experience and story are a beauty to behold. The only thing letting it down is the length, since the world is so rich and lovingly crafted you just want to explore it and its lore for longer than the reasonably short time that the game offers (and even then, I can't mark it down as the time you to get to spend in the world is so fun & immersive).

    Stray offers a gaming experience that is unique amongst a lot of same-y titles released recently. Rather than focusing on complexity and difficulty, Stray's degree of immersion beats out any title I've played in a very long time. The game is often totally committed to the experience of controlling a cat, except where necessary to progress the story. The mechanics are simple and accessible while still remaining suitably entertaining and puzzling through the inclusion of collectibles obtained with optional side quests. One of the criticisms levelled at Stray has been the simplicity of the jumping mechanics at the core of its gameplay, but for me I believe it to be one of its strongest features. It comes with the added immersion and makes the stunning world not only accessible all kinds of players, but the world building also becomes less restricted. The stray cat makes calculated jumps with a few fun animations added from time to time, prances elegantly along narrow walkways, and slides under low passageways in a manner that feels authentically cat.

    The world the player inhabits in Stray is not unique to this game - it draws plenty of influence from cult classics in all kinds of media and history. However the perspective of the stray cat allows exploration in the cyberpunk landscape that I've personally never seen before. Cities feel very different when you're ~25cm tall, and this brings a whole new novelty to the genre. Otherwise neglected corners, furniture, ledges, rooftops, and buckets come alive in the eyes of a cat and the attention to detail BlueTwelve has dedicated to Walled City 99 is excellent. For this reason, Stray is a short game best spent taking your time. A two/three hour spring through the alleys of the city would not be well spent, in my opinion. Much of my 9.5 hour playthrough was spent scaling buildings without purpose, nuzzling up against & meowing against robots, scratching furniture, or even just napping in one of the many lovingly crafted spots to curl up in. It never gets boring, especially not with the fantastic score playing in the background.

    Above all, Stray's story is its best selling point. Its simple mechanics and immersion aid in the player forming genuine emotional bonds with the characters you encounter. B-12, a robot companion that you meet early in the game and spend the rest of the journey with, is your sole means of communication and interaction with the most human elements of the world. He acts as your communicator, your inventory, your guide, and very quickly, your friend. The limitations of being a cat blend with the assistance of your robot friend to open up the dystopian cyberpunk landscape in new ways. B-12 can hack computers while you jump in boxes to hide from enemies (or, often, just like the look of a box). The Companions, robots who inhabit the city in lieu of humans, interact with you in ways that gives you a warm & fuzzy feeling often without saying any words. Your initial goal (although still ever-present), melts away into a wider quest for freedom that you feel genuinely invested in. The lore is often fleeting with many unanswered questions, but this feels intentional. You aren't supposed to have all the answers, not in a world that may be hundreds of years from the last true human body, a world that is sometimes steeped in a mythology about humans and the world that came before this robotic dystopia. Some of that knowledge is either lost in time or beyond the reach of our tiny cat's abilities. While I was left wanting more answers, it wasn't in a way that was unsatisfying. There's just enough room to come to your own conclusions and theorise for yourself.

    The culmination of the story is bittersweet, beautiful, and deeply emotional. Again, the developers leave us with an ending that leaves enough questions while closing the threads it needed to. Our cat's journey with us is over, but only because they don't need us to guide them any more.    … Expand

    A unique game with some downsides on difficulty and length. If you are looking for a shorter more casual game this is definitely for you. its a very different experience than what you will get in most other games and really packs in a lot in a 4 to 6 hour campaign.

I have played countless of excellent games since the 80s and this is one of the very few each decade that offers something original to some extend at least.     The game is fascinating, there are difficult moments that add interest and complement the gameplay. This is the world that was able to sink into the soul and leave behind positive emotions. And this beautiful view from the control center. I have only 1 minus at launch, and in some places there were friezes during the passage.

    Игра в целом интересная, мир взоимодействует между собой. Единственный минус- игру я прошёл за 6 часов, но обязательно пройду ещё раз, со всеми воспоминаниями

    To be honest. I expected just a little more from this game. I’ll admit the art style is incredible, however that doesn’t cover this game’s flaws. The game reuses a whole lot of dialogue options and not to mention, it lacks any characters for you to care all that much about except the cat.

    A beautiful little charmer set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia that I loved exploring as a cat. The puzzles and gentle platforming challenges (mostly involving racing) were fun, but mostly this game stood out to me for its aesthetic sensibilities, chill pacing, and affectionate portrayal of its unconventional heroes.

    A terribly boring and not interesting game. At first everything is ok, but then the game becomes predictable.
    She can be divided literally into 3 segments that are very similar to each other.

    Loved this game. Lots of emotion and great atmosphere. Not too long. Only negative thing I can say is that you cant return to the different parts of the city to complete side missions and gather all memories. You sort of can, but then you would have to restart the chapter.

    A beautiful indie game, simple and at same time charismatic, sad and mysterious. Good puzzles and characters. The gameplay could be a little bit more advanced, but it's not a problem, just a opportunity to the next game. Despite the walkthrough be short, the rhythm run good and rewarding. It was a game out of the box. I really recommend you to have this experience.

    Un joc del que no esperava res i que m'ha deixat amb una grata sensació. Anar descobrint la història mitjançant l'exploració d'un mapa tan sorprenent ha sigut increíble. És veritat que el joc no revolucióna res i que utilitza mecàniques bastant conegudes, tot i així sap conjugar-ho tot per a fer-ho interessant i amè. Sincerament recomanaria a tothom que com a mínim el provés si té el plus,Un joc del que no esperava res i que m'ha deixat amb una grata sensació. Anar descobrint la història mitjançant l'exploració d'un mapa tan sorprenent ha sigut increíble. És veritat que el joc no revolucióna res i que utilitza mecàniques bastant conegudes, tot i així sap conjugar-ho tot per a fer-ho interessant i amè.     There is nothing in the game, it is an empty shell, which people like because there is a cat, it's just degradation.
    The game is given too much attention, it is empty, except for the corridors and the cat there is absolutely nothing in it.

    Short but sweet. I was more invested into the game in 5 hours than most games get me in 20+ hours. Great story, great characters, great gameplay, great graphics.

    I did cry in the end. Only 2 games made me cry Red Dead Redemion 2 and STRAY.
    In the rolling titles you can see the names of the cats that took a role in this game and 3 were RIP I did cry twice as hard. Awersome Story of a stay car, the best game I did play in a last years

    Stray is wonderfully atmospheric, with confident design and a surprisingly good story. All the elements come together very well to create a truly unique twist on the puzzle platforming genre. I would have liked a little more, particularly with the ending, but aside from that I can't recommend Stray enough.

    Simple, classic, but beautiful history. Two charming main characters. Very well detailed atmosphere, Great music. Very good job in small details, for example, the meowing button. My only complaint (only in specific situations) is the camera position, but nothing catastrophic. The final is melancholic but great at the same time.

    I think it's more than just a good game, it's not better than the last of us part 2 it got so many votes just because it's a cat it's a very simple game very little to no action.

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
