    Everything i wanted from a new Resi it's there, incredible atmosphere, fantastic variety of enemies and bosses, game looks and sound asolutely fantastic on PS5, BRAVO capcom, this is THE best RE since RE2, i'm already dying to play Resi9!!!

    Este juego me parece una maravilla, esta muy bien hecho y eso se nota. Hacia tiempo que no me sentia tan cómodo jugando a un Resident Evil, en pocos momentos se hace pesado y tiene una historia muy buena con unos jefes muy entretenios. Mi nota es un 9, me parece una nota justa.

    Crafted to perfection.

    Games don't need to be long to give you a thorough appreciation for the developers, the scenery, the atmosphere, the story and gameplay. Resident Evil 8 feels very polished, the puzzles are intuitive and not annoying, there's a great factor of exploration and getting valuables, which is very rewarding when you manage to find that hidden treasure. The story was    Crafted to perfection.

    Take the best parts from R4 and R7, add inspiration from P.T., Alien Isolation, Silent Hill - mix all together with great maps design, unexpected turns in story plot and a lot of unique enemy types - this is a recipe of RE8 success.

    Bester Resident Evil Teil seit langem. Grafik, Atmosphäre ist absolut Top. Muss man gespielt haben wer auf richtig guten Horror steht mit sehr dichter Atmosphäre.

    Disappointing game
    Do you still remember Dead Space 2? Because that's how this game seems to me.
    Everything that was too scary and violent is removed and it degenerates into an action game with a scary element.
    I can also play CoD in zombie mode.

I think 7 and 8 are the best so far I've been there when the first resi came out and for their time those where great resi 4 is still great today but let's face it 7 and 8 are the best they changed resi for the better, I even liked the part where you played Chirs Redfield and just blew the **** out of every monster you came across which was the exact thing I hated about resi 5 and especially 6. Also that baby part with the puppet master just gave me silent hill p.t. vibes. They almost **** it with the you were dead all along, but it did make sense so I give it a pass. 10/10 Haven't enjoyed a game like this since resi 7, we need more horror games like this. Now all it needs is a online coop mode.… Expand

    I don't leave reviews. Ever. However, I'm already on my 2nd playthrough on the 'Village of Shadows' difficulty after completing it on hardcore (which I do with every RE game I ever played, since day 1.)

    The plot is AWESOME, in my opinion. The gameplay gradually ramps up and makes you feel powerful towards the end, while also still making you feel helpless because of how many    I don't leave reviews. Ever.     All of the characters are interesting and I'm glad there is mystery behind many of the characters, while giving you enough to understand what their motives are.

    Man, and the 'family above all else' narrative is pretty sweet, in both a cool way and a heart felt way.

    This game is scary, but there is a specific part of the game that is pure psychological horror and it's scary as hell.

    Uh, just buy it, ok? I am giving this a 10/10 because of replayability and I really do believe the game is all around great.

However I have an issue with the game itself and I hope we'll see some improvement in the future. The length of the game. Resident evil games aren't long to finish the main story which is a shame. You pay a game for 60/70 bucks to play it for 10 hours and then be doneAlright, the game was great. The story is far better then the Resident Evil 7's story, the gameplay as always is awesome. There are some challenges you can do in order to play longer, but in my opinion, the main story should be longer. I personally would enjoy Resident Evil 9 a lot more if the main story was roughly 20 hours long instead of 9 or 10.

    I wouldn't want them to stretch out the story, forcefully make it longer therefore boring, I'd want them to try and make a longer story while keeping the fun of it. Or at least make it cheaper because it's a little too expensive in my taste. Solo games nowadays should last between 20 to 40 hours in my opinion. Other than the game length, I don't have any issue with the game, everything was explained, I like the new mechanic introduced (or should I say IntroDuked). All in all, it's a great game, I wouldn't say it's worth the 70 euros if you're planning on playing for a while but if you're in it for the story, then maybe.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. re village is a good game I loved the Design of the weapons and the places the art direction is beautiful the gameplay is similar to re7 but with better Techniques but the game has its issues the first thing is the characters some of them were disappointing like the lady dimitrescu they put her in every trailer And they hyped us about her then we only see her in the beginning and her boss fight is not very good and the other character is the ugly guy his boss fight was bad he traps you in a small area and you just have to shoot anywhere and hope he dies and the other issue is the story it has some issue or maybe I didn’t understand it but overall it’s a good game… Expand

    What a great game! The levels are fun, the boss fights are great, the horror is pretty well done and unexpected, there is this one part scared the crap out of me, and the story is interesting. Overall, there are still minor flaws, but it's still a very good game to play.

Other times its puzzles, very scripted, slow paced horror nonsense reminiscent from RE7; that slows the pace down and will make replays dull. I'm shocked Capcom felt confident to emulate a lot    RE Village has its moments, but there just isn't enough here to love.

    It has RE4's action focus with a lot of enemies, some bosses, and a merchant that lets you sell treasure and buy upgrades. Other times its puzzles, very scripted, slow paced horror nonsense reminiscent from RE7; that slows the pace down and will make replays dull.

    I'm shocked Capcom felt confident to emulate a lot of RE4 but couldn't bring over the same satisfying combat as well; because the shooting in RE8 is pretty abysmal.

    - Movement is too slow and restrictive for a game that sometimes throws a handful of fast moving enemies that take up your entire screen.
    - FOV is too narrow to even get an idea whats happening around you most of the time.
    - Weapon sounds are underwhelming and lack punch.
    - Enemies have barely any hit reactions, so Its like I'm shooting with a pellet gun.
    - Didn't take the opportunity to add evasive moves, grab counters, melee attacks, etc to flesh out the combat potential.

    I see no benefit to the first person view when it comes to the combat. The camera and movement are better suited for a slow paced horror game; with some enemies and arenas that would benefit if the combat was faster paced and snappy like action RE games. It just doesn't match well at all; Village is two types of games being forced into each other.

    Even with the underwhelming combat, the middle section of the game is still great fun. I had a lot of enjoyment upgrading and getting most of the treasures. RE games shine when the player is left to their own pace. Little cutscenes, little dialogue, you are immersed in the gameplay loop and exploration. However it will probably take you about 8 hours to beat the game, so that middle section feels a bit too brief sadly; the game overall feels like it ended too quickly.

    If I can sum up the experience it would be very fun in some places, but overall forgettable. Nothing really happens that's worth talking about. Story is lackluster, characters are underdeveloped/forgettable, music is serviceable, tone has no consistency, voice acting is hit or miss, combat lacks depth, and too many scripted parts for my liking.

    If the combat was much more fleshed out, and if Village was a little longer to accommodate that, than maybe the gameplay would be able to support the game on its own.

    I still wanna play more to see what the game offers, or at least to make the most out of the purchase. However the lack of depth in the gameplay and just thinking about replaying some of the slow portions sounds like a chore already.

    RE Village doesn't know what it wants to be. Its a bootleg version of RE4 and its not exactly a great horror game either. It borrows from so many games that in the end it has little of its own identity.

    Tecnicamente es excelente , animaciones muy conseguidas , fisicas muy bien (lamentablemente no se puede romper mucho el entorno ), una direccion artistica que es lo mejor del juego al igual que el diseño de escenarios .
    Armas increibles , mucha variedad .
    Sistema de inventario igual al de resident evil 4 , que personalmente me gusta mucho , el mercader funciona muy bien y divertido .
    y lo mejor del juego el sonido , impresionante lo que logro capcom haciendolo uno de los juegos mas inmersivos que he jugado nunca de 10 este apartado
    Por cierto uso del dualsense muy logrado , sobre todo con las armas INCREIBLE
    Tiempo de juego , es un poco mas largo que el 7 pero tampoco es de soprenderse resident evil nunca ha sido una saga de juegos largos por lo que no puedo ponerlo como un defecto
    Y por ultimo hablare de los puzles , historia , boss fights
    Los puzles son simples , me parece que capcom tiene que seguir mejorando en este sentido , aunque en este juego mejoro respecto a entregas anteriores le falta todavia . Hay puzles que llegan a ser ingeniosos y otros que son muy basicos .
    La historia es buena pero podia haber sido mucho mejor , Capcom tiene que mejorar la narrativa y esto no es solo algo particular de este juego sino de muchas de sus franquicias incluyendo a resient evil . haciendote sentir que no entiendes nada , que todo es especulacion , es complicado de explicarlo , personajes como chris redfield que tenia mucha espectacion acabaron siendo desaprovechado , apareciendo muy pocas veces en el juego y aun no entiendo del porque ocupa la portada del juego
    Las boss fight estan bien , un poquito mejores del estandar de esta saga
    En el unico apartado donde este juego es peor que el 7 es en el dieño de nivel .
    En conclusion estamos ante uno de los mejores resident evil top 4 por lo menos .
    Lo mejor : Ambientacion , jugabilidad , diversion , apartado sonoro, tecnicamente excelente , artisticamente de escandalo , armas , variedad de situaciones , dualsense (ps5)
    Lo peor: Historia , Fisicas mejorables respecto a la destruccion de escenarios , diseño de nivel .
    NOTA: 9 DE 10 SOBRESALIENTE Y GOTY HASTA EL MOMENTO A MI PARECER .

    Thank god and thank Capcom for making the best resident evil ever made , this game is masterpiece in every sense of the word. No SJW **** no gays no feminism just pure action horror gameplay. Finally a successor to resident evil 4 has arrived.

    Just finished game. Story was great. Gameplay is sold. It took me a little over 8 hours to finish. Wish it wasn't $70 tho

    The new Resident Evil continues the adventures of Ethan in Romania and it is a lot of fun. It draws inspirations from RE4 and more action and Resident Evil true than 7 not being that scary. A game that is a lot of fun, this is what it is important in video games to not forget to be fun.

    Resident Evil Village has just become my favourite RE game so far. It’s a truly incredible game that feels like a tribute to the most iconic RE games so far, borrowing a bit from every game.
    The story is truly amazing, as a fan of RE who has played all of them I never thought RE would wake on me all the feelings it woke a the end.

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
