    First of all, I am not the greatest fan of RE universe, so any point that I found bad in this game I considered as BAD, without any excuses. Shortly - this game is **** Whole promo with this big vampire lady made me very curious (of course) but it turned out that she exists only in 15% of whole game. Other characters feel like some random questdillers from WoW, I knew nothing about them, IFirst of all, I am not the greatest fan of RE universe, so any point that I found bad in this game I considered as BAD, without any excuses. Shortly - this game is **** Whole promo with this big vampire lady made me very curious (of course) but it turned out that she exists only in 15% of whole game. Other characters feel like some random questdillers from WoW, I knew nothing about them, I came and killed them, I’ve forgot about them. I played with Russian language, and that was the worst voiceover that I heard, so I decided to replay the game fully on English (easy replay cuz this stupid 70$ game is 8 hours long…)
    But I was surprised that in many scenes acting was SOO bad, so it felt like they hired some first year students from theatre academy to play it. Another point - this game is 8 hours long. I just can’t understand why RDR2, TLOU2 cost same price, but the quality and length differs so much. First part of the game had beautiful cutscenes, but at the end… wtf was that at the end Capcom, u ran out of budget or what?

    And finally, what is this game? A horror? If so, it is not scary, the only one part was scary for me, everything else was so lame so I was yawning the whole time. If not a horror, so what, a shooter? This game had worst gun shot sounds and weirdest animations, and I received no pleasure while shooting. Even at the end. And, I forgot, the main plot twist was so obvious at the beginning, so my final feeling about this game is - disappointment.    … Expand

    The best resident evil series is village. Just wow. I playing res. Village with ps5. The story and graphic are fantastic

    Amazing, thrilling and scary experience. Totally recommend this! Maybe not on full price but maybe from sale.

    It is a great game without a doubt a balanced Resident that I have performed very well the parts that is focused on the action, and others on the Horror.

    8-9 stunden Spielzeit wenn man schnell macht 5-6 stunde
    ersten 2-3 stunden Horror wie Resi 7 danach immer weniger Horror und die letzten 2-3 stunden erstrecht das Ende wie COD
    Es wird keine Tiefe mit den Charakteren aufgebaut.

    Let's be honest, Capcom did the excellent work overall.
    Creepy atmosphere is totally leaking out from the screen and this is what people love.
    Beautiful visuals, amazing depressing sounds and freaky story forces me to keep playing.
    Strongly recommend to everyone!

    I just love the new direction capcom have chosen for this franchise.its new but in the meantime loyal to the roots of the franchise. I really recommend reading all the files in the game to understand the meaning of the loyal to the roots.

    Resident Evil Village doesn't feel scary at all the monster design is so bland and boring and the story has so many plots holes.
    -the villain's dialogue and voice acting is decent and awful
    -the plot for RE Village is terrible and it make no sense -Enemy design in RE Village feel and move exactly the same as RE7 -the guns sound so bland and boring and it doesn't sound powerful at all    Resident Evil Village doesn't feel scary at all the monster design is so bland and boring and the story has so many plots holes.

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
