    This was an excellent, mind-blowing game. I've had so much fun with the gameplay, the story was very well written, just like the characters, and the final boss was amazing. And, oh boy, the graphics. A total masterpiece!

    I had a blast with this intergalactic experience. Combat is fun and entertaining. There is plenty of weapon variety. Showing full well what the system is capable of — all while masterfully reviving a beloved series for the new generation.

    This game is so worth it, it drove me to create a Metacritic Account and perform a first time review! This was my first Ratchet & Clank game i played and have to say: Simply an unforgettable experience.

    - 100% Fun. I cant recall when i had this much fun in a game, at least in the (not so recent) past. - Absolutely gorgeous!     I played every R&C and spinoff game there is and have been a huge fan since childhood. This is one is right up there with Going Commando and Up your arsenal. My only wish for a further installment is for the devs to revert to the original dark, witty and suggestive humor of the earlier games and perhaps a little more platforming and some more levels.

    Great game with stunning visuals,no load times and a strong gameplay loop with excellent pacing that always made me say "just one more section" to myself at 2:00am in the morning. The only criticism I could give was for the money (£70) it was a little on the shorter side only taking me 19 hours to platinum.     Really amazing! It's really impressive what Insomniac achieved with this game. It improves the gameplay in many ways compared to the previous entry in the franchise and also has excelent storytelling. It's also a gigantic technological leap compared to what was possible on the previous generation of consoles.     The Gameplay is excellent and the graphics are marvellous. The story is very interesting and enjoyable as well. I think there is room for a sequel with more background about the history of the Lombaxes. The weapons level up slower and differently than in the 2016 game but other than that I didn't find anything that was mindnumming. Great game

    For round about 70€ in the EU, this game simply has way to less content. The main story is quite short (10h), and I managed it to get the 100% in just round about 13 hours.     I'm not familiar with Ratchet&Clank series but I've had a ton of fun with this one. Visuals are astounding, story is very good and fun. Sometimes the combat seemed a bit repetitive but that's subjective i guess.

    Apesar de pequeno é um game excelente, a sony não brinca quando faz os seus exclusivos, deixou um gostinho de quero mais, a mecânica da troca de dimensões é maravilhosa, qualidade gráfica maravilhosa, parecia mais uma animação da pixar que um jogo.

Я проходив у режимі "Якість" і спочатку відчував нестачу кадрів, ну, приблизно, 3 хвилини, потім звик і весь інший час я постійно скріншотив красу і записував фрагменти геймплея, який тут досить різноманітний через велику кількість гармат. Кожна з них унікальна і за допомогою    Це досить хороша, якісна гра з ефектним геймплеєм, але далеко не ідеал ексклюзивів від Sony.

    Почну з графіки. Я проходив у режимі "Якість" і спочатку відчував нестачу кадрів, ну, приблизно, 3 хвилини, потім звик і весь інший час я постійно скріншотив красу і записував фрагменти геймплея, який тут досить різноманітний через велику кількість гармат. Кожна з них унікальна і за допомогою адаптивних тригерів дає нові відчуття від геймплей. Трасування променів помічав, але особливо мене не вразила, можливо тому, що я сильно захопився пейзажем загалом і геймплеєм. Атмосфера тут дуже якісного дитячого мультика і це дуже добре.

    Я не чекав крутого сюжету від гри і я його не отримав, хоча кілька цікавих моментів все ж таки було. SSD у цій грі розкривається на повну і щоразу можна кайфувати від того, як все швидко завантажується, що навіть не встигаєш взяти телефон у руки. Механіки досить прикольні і періодично щось нове додається, що не змушує сумувати.

    Гра досить не довга, але я б радив купувати її зі знижкою в 60 відсотків, або ж просто взяти аккаунт в оренду, що набагато вигідніше, тому що якщо все збирати і чистити локації, то платина легко вибивається і після цього гру, швидше за все, ви вже ніколи й не запустіть.

    До конкретних мінусів хочу віднести відсутність різноманітності босів, вони всі під копірку; невелика тривалість, навіть якщо ви захочете зачистити гру на 100 відсотків (Я пройшов за 3 дні, з урахуванням гри 3-5 годин на день); фінал, який досить зім'ятий і прямо натякає на третью частину; один раз застряг у текстурах за Глючку і періодично застрягав у текстурах, але не критично; відсутність української мови в озвученні та субтитрах.    … Expand

    This is a great game and of course being made by Sony it shows off the new Dual shock sense (Ds5) features. I have played several instalments of r&c being all the ps2 games, size matters and the ps4 remasters. Soon I wanna complete the ps3 games aswell but sadly they aren't on Ps5 other then streaming. Hopefully they can make it backwards compatible. Can we get the trilogy on Ps5 aswell ifThis is a great game and of course being made by Sony it shows off the new Dual shock sense (Ds5) features.     A brief of everything mentioned below.
    Things I didn't like. If I list these 1st then we can finish this on a positive note.
    Collecting raritanium feels a waste of time. I think it would be better if they were extremely rare but done a huge upgrade rather then loads of small ones. Also when you unlock zurkies you can farm them easily.
    Experienced a couple glitches 1 broke my savegame. (See below)
    Another SMG type weapon at the start would be nice.
    The phantom dash looks silly. Would be better with blue tracers. I disabled it in visual settings.
    More zurkies challenges would've been better. On R&C3 we got loads including the 100 round challenge, why didn't we get this in this game?
    Sniper was under powered.
    Freezing bosses shouldn't be possible, it made them a walk in the park. Just freeze then rocket and repeat any boss and you can kill them without taking a hit.
    Stop tying the ryno to collectibles. Just make a a challenge mode gun like before.
    You shouldn't make content that people can skip (puzzles). This should only be a feature in challenge mode.
    Stop telling me how to do things this should only be a feature on the lowest difficulty(s). I like to work things out yet the game basically tells you how to do everything.
    OP cheats not effecting the ability to unlock trophies. i.e invincibility
    Easiest difficulty giving you invincibility.
    Settings that make grind rails slow down during obstacles.
    No trophy for completion on harder difficulty's making the challenge unrewarding.
    The last few on the list I felt made the game dumbed down and made challenges pointless. Why am I going to complete the game on the hardest difficulty and put myself through the challenge if I don't get anything for it. You spent ages creating a difficulty that a huge minority are going to bother playing because there is no reason or reward.

    Things that were amazing.
    I love the new armour style. Collecting peaces of armour then give you passive effects without having to equip them is perfect. I never liked wearing helmets now I don't need to. Im so glad this replaced the cards from the previous instalment.
    The new puzzle were awesome, like glitch and clank dimensions. I hated them hacking/tresspassing in previous titles.
    The mechanics in the game were really well done and it feels solid and responsive. Not once did anything feel clunky.
    The guns worked really well, a couple a weapons that didn't really have a purpose was the ricochet and the shield. You got phantom drift too dodge, what the hell you need a shield for, the Holoshield was better in r&c3 as you could use your gun still.
    I love the story line in this game and I think it was set out really well.
    Loads of shooting aswell which I love. Its annoying when you play a shooting game and its packed with slow boring crap that takes you out of the fight which isn't the case here and I think they got the balance perfect between shooting, exploring and cutscenes.
    Maps don't feel linear and there is loads of hidden areas to explore.
    A way to choose graphic settings, you can choose HQ ray tracing at 30fps, performance ray tracing at 60fps (My personal choice) and No ray tracing for higher resolutions like 4k.
    The map textures look so great and I can understand why they went with the neon effect so they could really show off the ray tracing capability of the Ps5. I have never seen a ratchet and clank game look as nice as this one.
    I think the photo mode is a cool feature. I probably won't use it but I think its a good way to make a desktop wallpaper for your PC or something.
    The way the guns use the new triggers on the controller feels like like certain guns having a half press to lock on then full press to fire etc.
    The enemies in this game were fun competitors its just a shame the bosses were too easy to freeze I would have said they were all round perfect.
    I loved the way things were kind of like opposites in the second dimension like Mrs zorkon was a resistance fighter but she was a boss before, Zorkon was a weapon but now he's peaceful, and a few others things aswell but don't wanna spoil the game.
    1 great thing that should be in all R&C games is the charge boots have returned but have been improved. Please don't make me go without these again. You cant reverse the map extremely fast with these.

    Would I recommend this game?
    Yes if you own a Ps5 I would definitely say to grab this as a part of your collection. And after you complete it then give challenge mode a try for harder enemies but keep your weapons aswell!    … Expand

    Loved it. As a fan of the series, I waited so long for a good and graphically awesome version. Did not disappoint. Played it twice in a row to get the Plantinum trophy. Could have been a bit longer

    An absolute fun ride. This game is designed and executed so beautifully that you just want to play it over and over again. The DualSense haptics are fantastic. There is no interesting story which is probably the only weakness, but that's its genre. If you want to compare it, you should probably compare it to Crash 4.

    After that disappointing "Remake" of 2016 I was honestly worried about the future of the series, I mean, I was excited for this game but I couldn't help but be sceptical about it.

    Having played the game now I'm actually happy with how it turned out to be, the humor is decent, some jokes do land well even thought here are still many of them that are... childish, the gameplay is actually very enjoyable, the movement is improved from the previous games with some great additional mechanics that make it very smooth and fun to play, and the characters are actually likeable!

    There's way more exploration this time around, every planet has some secrets to find, and even pieces of gear to unlock which you can wear to change the way the character looks, which is a really cool feature! There are also mini games as well which I tried out but they're just okay, nothing special.

    Although the main story is not really memorable, it's just another adventure where you have to save the world, I did like how the rifts played a role in it, and the mechanic of how you can traverse the rifts is impressive, the way all various worlds load instantly and they also look gorgeous really shows the high quality of the game, and the effort that was put into making it.

    The puzzles are alright but damn they really slow down the pacing, and there are actually many of them, not too many but more than enough.

    And even with all the improvements on the movement, the additional quality of life mechanics and the brand new protagonist, at the end of the day it's still a Ratchet & Clank game and it plays very similarly to the previous games, the shooting doesn't feel fresh, and I honestly think this could've been fixed if Rivet had different weapons and play-style, it would make the game less repetitive and more rewarding.

    This game is honestly a blast, it's not anything new but it does feel like a next-generation game in many ways, the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers enhance the gameplay, and the instant teleportation helps with the fast paced action and beautiful cinematic set-pieces.

    It might be quite short but it's still very much worth trying out, it's just a fun little adventure, and most importantly, as of right now it's one of the very few games that actually showcases the technology of the PlayStation 5.

    Loved the game. Animation is beautiful , the characters are awesome heroes and bad guys alike, the environments are beautiful throughout . Really liked the use of the dual sense controller as well, especially the gravity boots sections. Highly recommend!

    I don't know how to describe how brilliant this masterpiece truly is! The loading times are gone, the dual sense triggers are fun to play with (especially when shooting enemies) the haptic feedback is awesome the story is just like ratchet and clank should be:funny and not taking itself seriously at all. I would give this 11/10 but I can't awesome game can't wait for the next one

    The gameplay is the ratchet formula to near perfection with unique weapons that make good use of the dualsense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and the return of the hover boots which make movement during combat more fun than ever. The game is also decently long and replayable which is surprising considering insomniac just came out with miles morales less than a year before. The quantity of decent titles they put out is higher than any other studio right now.

    The problems I have are the same as the problems I had with ratchet ps4: the story and soundtrack. The story is an improvement over ps4 but comparing it to the ps2 games you can see how much they dumbed down the characters. Ratchet has no personality, they made him a generic kid's show character with none of the sarcasm or bite he had in the originals. His relationship with clank has no interesting conflict like in previous games, only the dimensionator stuff which leads to no real arguments or tension. The addition of Rivet and Kit makes up for this a little bit as by contrast they have a little more going on. I really like Kit's design and silly mannerisms. Overall there is little for older players to enjoy like in the ps2 games which had more mature jokes and world building.

    The soundtrack is more of the generic strings and horns they've been doing for a while. The older games (especially ratchet 1) had way more unique, memorable, and catchy tunes.

    Overall a solid game that leaves longtime fans like me a little disappointed in some aspects.    … Expand

    Super fun and cute game. Perfect for all ages. I thought the story was fun, but a bit too short. It also doesn't have much replayability in my opinion. However, the guns were super cool and unique.

    I will keep this review short unlike all my other reviews, ratchet and clank is one of the main reasons you should consider buying a ps5, yes it is quite short, it took me 13 hours to get 100% completion and yes, enemy variety and combat can get pretty repetitive. but the story is solid. It follows right after the events of ratchet and clank into the nexus so fans of the franchise willI will keep this review short unlike all my other reviews, ratchet and clank is one of the main reasons you should consider buying a ps5, yes it is quite short, it took me 13 hours to get 100% completion and yes, enemy variety and combat can get pretty repetitive. but the story is solid.     My first Ratchet and Clank game was the 2018 one. I enjoyed that one just like I enjoyed this one. What stands out to me the most is the gameplay/controls. It’s one of the smoothest feeling games out there which I’ve come to appreciate Insomniac for. There are only a couple other developer teams that are able to pull the smooth feeling off. The second thing that stood out were the graphics and how they were able to load drastically different environments without delay. It took me about 25 hours to beat and if continued to try to unlock and collect everything it would probably take me another 5-10 hours.     A great, very fun experience. It’s visuals on PS5 are marvelous, but the gameplay is what sets it apart. The multiverse stories are overused nowadays but it works and the characters are pretty good.

    Historia: 9/10 es muy enfocada a los niños, en anteriores ratchet había chistes mas enfocados a los adultos pero en este son pocos.
    Jugabilidad 8/10 aveces es algo molesto tener que dejar presionando triangulo y que se pause la acción.
    Gráficos 10/10 lo pase en el modo fidelidad para aprovechar el 4k y el Ray tracing y se ve muy bien aunque hay zonas que no se si sea necesario.

    A fun, but most important, beautiful experience and full of color, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart brings new characters that are very welcomed to the beloved series as well as refining the classic aspects. Also the use of the "multiverse" is well done.

Equipment, rewards, collectibles, all in proper amounts with actual great benefits to collecting them. (Content-alternating effects like new graphics, as if you collect your actual game). Puzzles are simple yet exciting and not overdone. Weapons are unique, different and skill set or mechanical movement options feel natural despite not being realistic at all. Jump, dash, float, kick, throw hammer, dodge, etc.. all great. Oh, did I mention haptic feedback and triggers are fully incorporated? Yeah. This and surround audio, the immedsion is real. All in all a quality game that nails almost everything. Flying mechanic (with Trudy) could be better and the game length could be a little longer (10-20 more hours would have been perfect). Luckily this is replayable. Worth every penny.… Expand

    What a phenomenal display this was for the ps5. Improvement from the 2016 installment for sure. Some of the best visuals I have ever seen in a game. Just amazing stuff.

    A warm return to the franchise and it was a lot of fun, thankfully uninterrupted by loading times. This is an excellent game for casual gamers as it's not that long and doesn't require a great deal of time to play well, for this reason I knock a point off though as for a full priced game (although good deals can be found now) it's maybe a little short.     And then there would be all the warm and sympathetic characters that I just loved listening to and watching. Also because Ratchet & Clank still exudes the charm of the PS2 era. This childishly silly thing that always puts a smile on your face. By the way, I would recommend you not to sprint through Rift Apart, but to soak up the atmosphere and watch the characters go about their business.

    Finally, I have to lose two or three sentences about the optics (yes, let me): Ratchet & Clank is an unparalleled feast for the eyes. It's almost absurd that I felt like I spent more time admiring the atmosphere and rich graphics than advancing the story. As you can see: I am thrilled and can only warmly recommend the adventure to you.

    I have a very soft spot for the classic Ratchet & Clank games, and my opinions on the remake were a bit mixed. I enjoyed it, but I very much the classic PS2 game and its sequels. But as soon as I saw Rift Apart, I knew it was going to be great, and they delivered. They improved just about everything from the 2016 remake and made a top tier game for the series on a brand new, advanced console that works great with it. Rift Apart could probably be reason enough to get a PS5.

    One criticism that people have had with the newer Ratchet games compared to the classic ones was its departure from darker toned story telling and focusing on a more comedic style. I can't say I share the problem, but when viewed in the spirit of the new reboot series, it works incredibly well! There's nothing wrong with a comedic game so long as it's done well and doesn't take away from stakes at hand, and I think Rift Apart has a good balance of that. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but still maintains a fun and goofy adventure throughout.

    The story is not bad, albeit I usually take issue when it comes to multi-dimensional stories, mostly because they're sloppily told, trying to be too big while not tying enough loose ends. Rift Apart keeps the lore about it small and contained, only enough to serve the purpose the game has, therefore less room to screw the overall lore and worldbuilding. Outside of the dimensional travel, the character story telling is quite nice. While staying small and contained, you get to know Rivet and Kit rather well, and some of the new side characters are fun and give the game a lot more life. The way they tie certain aspects of character backstory together is pretty good and is overall a satisfying story to progress in.

    The biggest problem with the game is the length. It's one of the shortest Ratchet games, but what it was able to put into its small playtime is a lot! There's so much to do and explore, so while there may not be as many planets to visit like in previous games, some of the planets have a little bit more to offer and explore. I can understand why it would be hard to justify a $70 price tag for a shorter game in the series, but aside from all that, I don't have any major issues with the game.

    The controls are also rather good, although sometimes swapping between weapons takes a bit too long. The haptic triggers on the PS5 Dualsense controller add a lot to the feel of the game and almost wish the previous games that this kind of control scheme. The combat is fast paced, fun, and fair, definitely more so than some situations in the classic PS2 games.

    I wouldn't say this is my favorite Ratchet & Clank game, but it was great to experience a brand new story with these two rather than just a retelling. I do hope Insomniac continues the series on the PS5 with some new adventures to come! Definitely a must play for any PS5 owner!    … Expand

    Easily the best game in the franchise. The weapon variety is top class. Art direction is great and has so many details in every location. It's obvious that Insomniac focused on making this a fun and entertaining experience. Game is only made even better by the visual options, game looks absolutely stunning on my OLED tv.
    A true must play for anyone who owns or is looking to get a PS5.

    This is such a fun game! The action is so fun and unique. It also displays the ps5 power better than anything out yet. There is just no way to describe how great it looks and feels. I do wish the game was a bit longer, being that it is so darn fun. Best ps5 game out imo

    Truly an awesome game with amazing visuals and gameplay my only gripe is its quite but shorter than other ratchet adventures and quite often the same mini bosses come up throughout the game probing they didn't have aslong as they liked to make the game.

This is the only Ratchet that I can argue is as good as it. That's saying alot as ACIT is one of my all time favourite titles. Apesar de não ser tão longo teve o tempo necessário para desenvolver os personagens, que são muito bons e carismáticos, a jogabilidade é muito boa, mas o os bosses poderiam ter mais variedades.     Awesome game! Grew up playing Ratchet and Clank, this one checked off all the boxes and then some. Gameplay and controls are top notch, a highly underrated 3rd person shooter. Graphics and animation look like a Pixar film, just an overall great game. Might be a little short on content, but replaying the game after unlocking all the weapon abilities gives it more replay value than expected.
