    So good, perfect storytelling and fun combat. A lot of the issues I had with the first one are solved, also loading times are non existent.

    Despite the negativity sqaure has for making their games, octopath traveler 2, is not just the finest hd classical turn-based rpg they made, but also show that their talents in rpg making is still there. Ocotpath traveler 2 delivers better characters, story-telling,graphics, and a wonderful turn-base battle system for rpg lovers, which is one best entries, yet that don't disappoint.

    The second game is significantly better than the first, more party interactions, better combat, more fleshed out stories, better soundtrack, better pacing. Very well done this time.

    jrpgs are what i love. I loved octopath 1. But the improved combat (its almost the same except a few things. Im not spoiling)
    More voice acting. The english dub is actually good. The characters in this game have super amazing stories. The new advanced jobs...are interesting. And i just cannot wait to finish the last 4 stories and do the end game. I love thr difficulty spike of bosses once    jrpgs are what i love. I loved octopath 1.     Mi saga favorita de JRPG. Si el primer juego te gustó, esta secuela te va a gustar más. Mejor música, mejores batallas, mejores historias. 10/10 para mí.

    Octopath Traveler 2 takes everything great from the first game while fixing its issues. The turn based combat is one of the best out there, combined with an amazing job system that gives a lot of depth. Random encounters are fast and fun, while bosses need tactics and can be challenging. The break system, attacking enemies with their weaknesses to leave them open for more damage whenOctopath Traveler 2 takes everything great from the first game while fixing its issues. The break system, attacking enemies with their weaknesses to leave them open for more damage when broken, is a great tactical feature. At no point of the game I needed to grind (except optional super boss).

    Characters and stories are absolute peak. All 8 travelers are so different, offer so many aspects and each story is at least great. The best ones are absolutely phenomenal, while even the weakest character arc is still good.

    The music is one of the best Soundtracks ever. Each character theme fits so well and grows on you while experiencing their stories.

    It also feels way more like you are in an actual party now, due to the combined chapters plus the final chapter which combines everyones story. This was missing in the first one and is totally nailing it in the 2nd one.

    The only issue I can see are the first chapters. Most players will collect all characters first, most players will play all first chapters to get the proper character introduction, which can lead to the feeling of playing the tutorial 8x in total. But overall, it is one of the best JRPGs ever created.    … Expand

    진심 잘만든 갓겜임.

    옥토패스 트래블러1도 게임성 하난 뛰어났는데 유일한 단점이 스토리였는데 이번작에선 진짜 스토리도 보완해서 흠잡을 데 없는 갓겜된듯. 이번 옥토패스 트래블러2는 진심 스토리 겁나 갓겜됐음. 무엇보다 옥토패스 트래블러2 특히 전투가 진짜 갓겜이라 잘만들었음. 그리고 주인공인 소년 사무라이 히카리가 진짜 간지나는듯.    진심 잘만든 갓겜임.

    Octopath Traveler 2 is a completionist's dream. I had endless fun beating all 8 travelers stories, getting all of the jobs, and finding all of the rusty weapons and inventor's items. All 8 stories were equally compelling and the dialogue was excellent.. Also the mu and art style were both great

    Feeling sad that I finally finish this game. 93 hours including 2 final secret boss. The last 10 hours was repeating and thinking how to kill the secret boss that I hate the mossssssssssssst in the turn based game in my gaming history. But it was a good experience.

    Better than the first one in every way. The music, gameplay, map, and obviously the story of every characters. Octopath    Feeling sad that I finally finish this game. 93 hours including 2 final secret boss. The last 10 hours was repeating and thinking how to kill the secret boss that I hate the mossssssssssssst in the turn based game in my gaming history. But it was a good experience.

    Better than the first one in every way. The music, gameplay, map, and obviously the story of every characters. Octopath Traveler 1 story was quite bad for some certain characters, but this one, they able to link every one into the final story, and stories was dark as usual like the first one.

    Didn't regret choose to play on PS5, the loading time is much better than switch that my friend play at. For anyone who like to turn based RPG game, you should definitely get this one. Regret for not getting the collector edition. The soundtrack is amazing in this game!    … Expand

    The HD2D graphic expression is wonderful, each of the eight characters has a fascinating story, and the freedom of play makes you lose track of time. The music is also of very high quality and makes you feel as if your eyes and ears are conveying happiness.

Characters are admirable with good character development along with great plot and converging storylines which the first game lacked.     This game improves on the original in every way. The original was a 9/10 for me, but this one I would give an 11 in a heart beat.

    Things people complain about: "The paths still don't intertwine until the end" Did you forget about crossed paths and travel banter? "The characters in the tavern don't gain EXP" If that's making you under-leveled then you're playing the game wrong. "Boss    This game improves on the original in every way.     "ew Random Encounters" Yeah that's fair. It just doesn't bother me personally.

    Amazing storytelling, it's even better than the first one, I loved the new characters and mechanic of "Limit break", also now we have the option to make the battler faster and dialogs, I think people who said it's bored or complaining about the graphics did not understand the game.

    Beautiful hd-2d graphics and artstyle, phenomenal soundtracks with immersive voice acting(even the environmental sounds are so detailed), and huge freedom of exploration are the biggest strength of this game. Storytelling is also gripping enough thanks to visual directions and effectual usage of soundtracks.

    Old school feels with Updated looks and great storyline. Turn based so a strategic mind is needed not your twitch game. Worth every penny except it is so relaxing to play I no longer need my sleep machine

    Total masterpiece! I love everything about the game! The music, characters, voice acting, environment, battles - the whole atmosphere of the game is astonishing. Game of the year contender FOR SURE!

    This game is such an improvement to the older one, the voice acting, the stories, the weapons, characters and music is top notch. A must have if you're a fan of the older one or any other jrpg.

    Allow me to be hyperbolic for a moment and say that this is the best iteration of a turn-based RPG since Chrono Trigger. It may even be just *as* good as Chrono Trigger, along with much of the Dragon Quest series. But as a fan of the original (faults and all), there is so much to truly love about this game that has elevated it so high. Everything from the first game is improved upon in soAllow me to be hyperbolic for a moment and say that this is the best iteration of a turn-based RPG since Chrono Trigger. It may even be just *as* good as Chrono Trigger, along with much of the Dragon Quest series. But as a fan of the original (faults and all), there is so much to truly love about this game that has elevated it so high. Everything from the first game is improved upon in so many ways, and is paid off by the end of the game. I was hesitant about the cast, but I found myself deeply invested in so many of them.     no le tenia mucha fe al principio para ser honesto, lo único que me llamaba la antención eran los graficos pero despues de 90 horas puedo decir que este juego es una joya que cualquiera que les guste los jrpgs debería probarlo, me gustaría que el primer octopath traveler también estuviera en ps5 porque me quedo con muchas ganas de jugarlo.

    The frequent battles also contributed to a sluggish early game that has you trek from town to town to find all eight companions. These new party members will likely be under-leveled and under-equipped, and it takes some grinding to unlock good skills for them. Once you commit to four or five characters, however, you'll find Octopath Traveler II to be an engaging and rewarding adventure for JPRG fans.

    Octopath Traveler 2 doesn’t try to add new stuff just for the sake of it. It’s more of a refinement of the formula presented by the first installment. The strong narrative and the amazing gameplay make it a wonderful experience once more, especially when coupled with its beautiful graphics and sound design.
