    Madden to this day is a buggy filled atrocity, it is barebones in franchise with still little to no customization. It will copy old mafdens and re hash them with “new” modes
    Its sad

    I have played every Madden since 16 but also played Madden 08,09,10,11,12 and 13. I even thought back in Madden 10 and 11 where would it be in 10-15 years. We are so behind even that point that the game isn't even fun anymore and the game is pointless to play. The animations are the same, everything is scripted. I played the trial and I stopped playing after 5 minutes because I got boredI have played every Madden since 16 but also played Madden 08,09,10,11,12 and 13. I even thought back in Madden 10 and 11 where would it be in 10-15 years. We are so behind even that point that the game isn't even fun anymore and the game is pointless to play. The animations are the same, everything is scripted. I played the trial and I stopped playing after 5 minutes because I got bored and it feels like I have been playing the same thing since at the very least madden 18. The crazy thing is is that this is supposed to be the make-or-break year, but that has been every year and I'm tired of the incremental improvements. Sometimes I wish they'd just remaster Madden 08 on the PS2 because then at least Madden would be more fun to play but I know they wouldn't do that because it wouldn't make them as much money. The fact that a game from 19 years ago is better than Madden in every single way is unbelievable and inexcusable. MUT has killed Madden in every way you can think of. Previously, there would be historic teams that you would be able to play as but nope now you have to pay for individual players that play the exact same as other players. I am a franchise gamer so until Madden gives up the NFL simulation license or if next year we get every single feature we've had previously in other maddens and more, then I won't bother getting this game or any Madden in the future.… Expand

    Tried it after skipping a couple year. This game is an embarrassment to football. How can a game made by 2k in 2005 have better gameplay than a game almost 20 years later. The NFL should feel ashamed to let such a crap company make there games.

    Im kinda over blaming EA for not even pretending to try. At this point its on the NFL. They are allowing this awful monopoly to exist at the expense of their fans and they should be held accountable for that.

    We're at a point where EA doesn't even care to improve and fix the balancing of the online modes anymore because:
    1. Its broken by design to anger you when you inevitably lose most games and thus push you into buying more fking virtual cards until they're nerfed and you have to buy more and more and more and more

    Summary, I enjoy this game.
    My biggest issue with the game is still the lack of create-a-team. You could give me a game with a robust CAT feature and that alone would make me rather content. I play mostly offline franchise and Superstar mode. So I'm not a competitive gamer and I don't carry any baggage of those types of players. I don't think yearly releases are conducive for development    Summary, I enjoy this game.

    I like this years version! It has huge gameplay improvements compared to last year. The AI is so much better now, finally! It calls Audibles before plays, tries to read your defense. With the proper slider sets which can be found online makes this game the best version so far. I just play franchise and sometimes an online game with a buddy. no Ultimate Team.     EA markets these huge improvements every year and it's literally just a "new passing tree" addition like it's some brilliant idea that's going to change the game. U can hit someone along with 3 to 4 teammates or ur whole team jump on the ball carrier whether itbe cpu or pvp online and their ball carrier doesnt react and runs away with a td. Stupid given speed boosts out if nowhere for defense to make a pick on beaten routes, oline blocking airThis game is trash!!! A pathetic excuse for a football video game and a horribly sad disgrace to the great John Madden. Please give up the license and let us get good football games for the first time in over a decade!

    This maybe the worst madden yet. Animation based. Quarterbacks miss throws with no pressure. The skill gap has been lowered. Madden must do better. This was supposed to be a make or break game.

    This madden hurt the most and I didn't think that was possible.

    • Franchise mode has 0 improvements (okay you can trade with more slots now) • Rookies look absolutely ridiculous • Still no create a team and somehow relocating has less jersey options now • Still not able to see who's been drafted in fantasy drats • Moving between game modes feels slow and at times unresponsive •    This madden hurt the most and I didn't think that was possible.

    • Franchise mode has 0 improvements (okay you can trade with more slots now)
    • Rookies look absolutely ridiculous
    • Still no create a team and somehow relocating has less jersey options now
    • Still not able to see who's been drafted in fantasy drats
    • Moving between game modes feels slow and at times unresponsive
    • Catch mechanics got worse
    • Defenders have a new "Volley ball" animation which blocks nearly all passes
    • The worst celebration cut scenes...even spiking the ball looks like the ball is deflated
    • Noticing a lot of heads sticking out of the back of the helmet with other glitches
    • Feels like less customizable options in Superstar mode then any other modern sports game
    • When you use backspin on punts it ricochets back 15 yards
    • Physics are terrible but there is this new wwe slam large defenders do on small offensive players.....

The gameplay is marginally improved at best, even though everyone is saying the gameplay is better this year, I hardly noticed a difference, and I'm coming from Madden 22. Even though I didn't even buy last year's game, I immediately could tell it was just the same garbage they put out year after year.     Madden NFL 24 is an excellent product of the evolution of American football, which is celebrating its second decade. If you are a fan of this sport and only watched it on television, now is the perfect moment to try your hand at the game.

    Madden NFL 24 does provide a pretty good simulation of NFL football when you’re on the field. The animations and AI are improved over last year, and the games are fun and challenging at the higher difficulty levels. I just wish that everything around the on-field action was overhauled. Ultimate Team needs to be revamped, and should look to Madden NFL Mobile for inspiration. The mini-games need to be reworked, if not totally removed. And, please build an interface that’s fast, easy to navigate, and gets you pumped to play some football.
