I give it a 4/10 because I was able to access only about two thirds of the game thanks to the infamous Maz Kanata glitch. I would have rated it 7/10 if I got to play the whole thing, but alas. I waited for a month for a fix, the developer shares no updates regarding the patch, so… whatever.

There are no risks in this game where you have to start over at the beginning. On top of that a lot of glitches, but what game these days don't have those. Expand

The game is terribly optimized for cooperative play on ps5. Unplayable DOF and screen tearing issues. Paid $70 and i’m really disappointed because I was looking forward to playing this with my girlfriend. Until lego acknowledges they’re handling it/fix it i’m keeping this at 0 to raise awareness.

It’s incredibly boring with weird pacing. I’m not sure what anyone sees in this.

This game is complete garbage. The greedy developers didn't even bother to add the character customization they promised. There is no online multiplayer. There is only local co-op. The developers were too cheap and lazy to give us online multiplayer. Why is there no PvP? This is a Star Wars game for goodness sake. $60 is too expensive I don't recommend this game at all, unless you want to support laziness.

Very over rated. If you enjoy being in a boring lifeless overworld running from marker to marker, you will love this. If you are actually looking for a quality Lego game, go pick up Marvel Super Heroes again

You can spend hours doing the story, or free roaming. With over 400 characters to collect as well, you will rarely ever run into issues. From the swamps of Naboo to the sith temple on exegol, most locations in the films are playable. On top of this, vehicles are a blast to fly in space. Now for the reason I'm giving it a 0.Tt did a fair bit of false advertising with this game, especially regarding content like the venators and capital ships. Venators are not in the game. Hub worlds don't change based on your era. Online multiplayer was cut and the character customizer, a staple feature of lego video games at this point, was canned. Why they would decide to make such a decision is beyond me, and this review is being used to draw attention to this. Ground vehicles cannot be bought and summoned, and you are stuck resorting to micro ships for transport (actually, you can't even use these on the ground. Why?)

And some planets don't even have proper hubs to explore, even though they have levels set there.

TT games falsely advertised the presence of venators for this game. Where are they TT?

At the end of the day, we need to call TT out for not addressing the false advertising that they have done with this game, and hopefully down the line they will address these criticisms with patches and updates.

    Is LSW:TSW a good videogame?

No. It's a basic rail shooter. Shootouts provide no challenge at all. Puzzles provide no challenge at all. Verticality in levels is gone. You run down the corridor and shoot, and then you run and shoot some more between levels. There are many mechanics that don't influence gameplay: you have covers so what? You have upgrades so what? You have combos so what?

You have combos so what? Remove any of those and you'll have the same boring game you can beat all the same.

Is LSW:TSW a good homage to Star Wars?

No. It's nauseatingly compressed and hurried. You get a 15 minutes worth of a movie in a few seconds long cutscene and then a couple minutes of running from point A to point B. And then pacing of levels is horrific. They're either long and empty or way too short than should be. Creators of this have very little understanding of "tempo" thing.

    Is LSW:TSW at least funny?

Well, THAT it is sometimes. But between funny gags you'll get dozens minutes of boring running and shooting and a chop-suey of references to your favoutire movies.

Also, LSW:TSW is beautiful BUT there are questionable design choices. Studs feel lighter and cheaper, and collect harder. Also Kylo Ren's lightsaber... Why'd they have to downgrade it from LSW:TFA?? Yes it is true to real-life LEGOs but it looks worse?? What is achieved with that?

In short, LSW:TSW is the definition of Disney's Star Wars. It isn't worth your time. Skip.

You don't need to do anything to progress in the game an that for me makes it pointless. I cant believe i wasted my money on something that has no substance ir point to it at all.

Absolute garbage in comparison to the complete saga. Streamlined into the most boring and repetitive gameplay. Lost everything that made the originals so great. No one wants to watch a 20 second cutscene for every action in the game.

This game is super boring. Most of the story missions are just walking behind the characters, that's the whole mission.

Ludicrous game breaking bugs (no fix from TT Games) that will lock your character selections after you’ve completed all story levels, halting any further progression toward any other collectibles. Thumbs down.

It contains everything that makes gamers love the Lego Star Wars games, while at the same time showing the authors' desire to push the franchise further. Some of it worked, some of it didn't, but if this sympathetic will holds out, the next game will no doubt turn out great. [Issue#319]

For longtime fans of Lego Star Wars, there’s enough of an improvement to the tried and tested formula to warrant some intrigue, if only to see how far the series has come along.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a hit for both Star Wars and LEGO fans. It mixes the amazing universe that George Lucas developed for movies/TV with fun and games that are a trademark of the video game franchise. The storyline is really funny, gameplay is pretty friendly and you will probably love it if you enjoy Jedi stuff.
