This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Horizon: Forbidden West is a disappointment compared not just with Zero Dawn, but also with the rest of the industry. It has nice graphics and an improved melee combat system. But the story is awful, Aloy is irrecognisable as a character compared with Zero Dawn, and the melee combat system is still not good enough.

    SPOILER ALERT

The overarching story has no real direction other than to stop a group of enemies (humans that escaped the old world thousands of years ago and have extended their lives with technology) from ending the world. You stop them and then you learn there is a messy blob of mechs and AIs following the old humans through outer space to Earth to kill them, oh boy that's some lazy BS from writers setting up Part 3. There are some nice sub-stories regarding the relations of various tribes, and many side quests are actually entertaining, but the main course is just bad. Whereas in Zero Dawn we had a slowly unfolding mystery that captivated us and carried us to the end.

Aloy in this game is just an emotionless piece of wood. She learns some news, doesn't care. Someone talks to her, she acts bored. An emergency happens, apathy. She escapes death, she's cool. She's being flirted by the final boss (a scene that made me cringe...), acts like it didn't happen. I could go on and on. Where is the Aloy from Zero Dawn who wanted to passionately discover the world and worried to save humanity from the machines?

Melee combat was poor on Zero Dawn. It has been vastly improved compared with Zero Dawn's simplistic one-button attacks, but it's still nowhere near decent. There are various combos to learn but are a bit complex for an action game, and timings to continue combos are vague. It's not as difficult as a fighting game, but I skipped most of the melee combat because it's not intuitive and good enough, unlike 2018's God of War or other action games.

The game's world map is undeniably gorgeous. There are definitely cues taken from Zelda: Breath of the Wild in how you traverse the world. By the game's end you even unlock a robotic pterosaur to fly anywhere you want to, much quicker than on foot or by riding a quadruped machine.

Graphics in this game are very good for what is a cross-gen game that has to run on PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5. On PS5 you can choose between Fidelity Mode (30 fps at 4K), Performance Mode (60 fps at 1800p checkerboard) and a new Balanced Mode (the Fidelity Mode at 40 fps with dynamic resolution). There is even an option for VRR if you have a VRR-compatible screen. I played the game at 60 fps even though the Performance Mode hadn't been patched yet. It used to be plagued by shimmer and blur, but it was fixed a few months ago and it looks very nice and clean, finally.

Even if you are a fan of Zero Dawn and want to see what happens next, I'd advise to buy this game only when on a big sale. Full price is definitely not worth it. And keep your expectations low.

I compare because they came out around the same time, stopped playing after a week and jumped back in after. So, that did take away. But Elden Ring comparisons aside, it started off enjoyable but by the end, i wanted the platinum and to be over with. The whole aiming for the sweet spot on machines gets pretty old fast as it gets frustrating when you can barely hit it 80 percent of the time in slow motion. I don't think I ever even sold any valuables, bought anything, rarely needed to change too much gear because there's so many options and most aren't even necessary to complete the game with. The incentive for exploration or to do side quests is really non-existant as there's no need for useless reward. Characters are pretty lame as well. Story wasn't as good either. It just looked so damn good that it's an accomplishment but doesn't matter how good it looks if gameplay gets monotonous. Overall, it starts out fun, then kinda drags by half way point to sum it up. Would give 6.5 Expand

It's okay, beautiful to look at but it just turns into another open world map marker slogfest. The combat is pretty awful. Dodging is pointless because it seems every enemy attack homes in on you so it becomes less about skill and more about how many healing items you have on you. I'd give it a miss and play Elden Ring instead.

It's better than the first part that came out back in 2017, it basically added onto that original game but didn't fix the more fundamental issues that have to do with writing, gameplay and open world design. It's very much by the numbers and perfectly serviceable, but as a result forgettable.

The graphics are simply amazing, but uninspired. It simply goes for realism which will get old quick in a few years. I would have liked it if they went with an unique art style or just had better design. The only inventive designs in the game are the robot animals, but the rest looks like the type of stuff we have in the real world sadly.

The writing and narrative is actually pretty bad, it follow your typical block buster type language but ultimately has nothing to say. Aloy herself has also become kind of an unlikable character, she's not too different from the first part but enough to make it feel strange and off. The ending, which i will not spoil, is especially terrible and ruins the whole thing in 20 minutes time flat.

They have a clear talent for game engine design and know how to output demanding high graphical effects, but in the gameplay, story, narrative, level and game design department they still need a lot of work.

On PS5 you can choose between favoring resolution and performance. Playing resolution mode is borderline unplayable with a game with this many animated stuff and quick pace. Performance mode however was good, although it removed at times way to much quality for my taste.

The main quest evolves to very crazy things to say the least. It stays within the realms of the possibility of the lore, but is a tad too much for my taste. Now the ending was very unpleasing to me. I have waited years for this game and the story is like, imagine what'll haopen in the next episode. Next episode is years and maybe even a generation away realistically speaking. That should be a no go where time between games is like half a decade.

Hfw has a great story but suffers with performance issues still to this day. Washed out and over sharpened images to frame drops in quality mode. The world is much the same as the first game with the old hold your hand world that we see in most open world games. Its a decent sequel to the great hzd but it isnt ground breaking and nothing seems to have changed at all.

The mini-game has so many rules, and the design is poor too - it's hard to get where is your figure and what it can / can't do. You can't even compare this mini game to Gwent in Witcher 3.

Dialogs (especially in the main quest) feel alive though. Characters have expressions and movements, which is good.

Dialogue sections and characters are bland and combined with the hyper real art direction and overly prominent rim lights just doesn't make any of the story feel grounded.

Map is absolutely littered with unrewarding side content to the point of being overwhelming.

Basically a sight to behold, and a technical marvel, hampered by boring characters, boring climbing puzzles, boring resource management and upgrades.

TLDR Too big, too boring, bad design, good visuals.

Graphics/Visuals Yes, it mostly looks good, but it is on par with what I would expect from a "next gen" game released in 2022. But, in many ways it looks no better than Ghost of Tsushima released on the PS4 2 years ago. Visually it is nice, frame rates are good. Colors

But, in many ways it looks no better than Ghost of Tsushima released on the PS4 2 years ago. Visually it is nice, frame rates are good. Colors are vibrant. View distances are nice. But nothing spectacular.

    Audio
Boring. All I can say is almost all of the music so far is one word: Boring. I won't say anything more.

    Game Play
Game play is the strong point. I can roam around sneaking up and killing things all day long. You have a full feature of weapons and armor to experiment. But so far, I am not really seeing anything new from Horizon Zero Dawn in any meaningful way. Not bad, because they did a great job in that game, but nothing new to speak of here. You also have the same platforming aspect of the game, but Forbidden West is incredibly easy. Too easy. Basically, just look for the color yellow and hit your controller. It is brain dead easy. Don't see anything? Just scan and you are instantly in easy mode. I don't find any challenge in this at all.

    Story
I am 10 hours into this game and I could care less about this world. I don't really know what is going on and don't care to figure it out. I had expected a story hook to grab me within the first hour, but much of the first few hours is running into characters from Zero Dawn that I didn't care a whole lot about, and in some way they made them even less interesting in Forbidden West. Travis Tate makes a cameo, which is awesome. And Sylens is introduced early. But so far I find gathering Ridge-Wood more interesting than talking to anyone. Of course, both these games are Feminist wet dreams. That's OK; I rather enjoyed Zero Dawn a lot. But in this game, I feel like I am being beaten over the head with it.

    Art & Style
This is where this game simply falls apart. A lot was said in the previews about the uglification of Aloy. Seeing the actual game, there is a little bit of it (why does she have huge chipmunk cheeks?) but overall I think Aloy is a rather adorable ginger, and I like her personality. But things end there. Literally every single character and NPC in this game is fat and ugly. Every single one. I feel like I am at the State fair instead of a post-apolopytic wasteland. And somehow, 90% of all the laborers are women? How does that happen? Did all the men die or something? Obviously there is an agenda. The designs of the clothings and architecture is kinda nice. It is what you would expect if you played Zero Dawn. The landscapes are OK. Nice really, but it is just what I expected, and nothing more. And the voice acting... wow is it cringy. Horrible. Again, Aloy is OK, I do like her. But every NPC is maximum cringe. And the facial movements and body language.. I usually look away from the screen when they talk.

    Collector's Edition
I am playing the Regalia Edition. There is supposed to be DLC gear. It is all junk. The figures are OK. The large one is not the best that I've collected. I do like the Aloy mini though. There are some other accoutrements that are OK. Overall, I should have just stuck with the Launch Edition game (actually, I should have waited for the "GOTY" edition in the future).

    Conclusion
I can not recommend this game. If you enjoyed Zero Dawn, are not bothered by all the horrible style choices made, and you are dying to play this game, then I would recommend waiting for the inevitable GOTY edition (or whatever they will call it) with the inevitable DLC that will be released. And even then, it may be wise not to pre-order it, wait for the cost to dip (or wait for it to be a Playstation Greatest Hits).

None of the characters are very likeable or interesting and most of them serve their purpose to exposition dump you with story that is interesting but not very easy to understand. Aloy is still a very dull and uninteresting character and this time she doesn't have the interesting backstop to save her from being bad. Her design has gotten even worse and half the time I find it hard to even look at her with her weird facial expressions. The open world whilst far better than HZD in terms of landscape with an excellent use of real world locations is Unfortunately full of ubisoft style side content which isn't very engaging or fun. The not so good crafting system and gathering system has seen little improvement from HZD and honestly it's frustrating having to constantly pick up stuff over and over again after killing enemies. The game also suffers from some bugs which the first game didn't have. Nothing game breaking just immersion breaking.
So overall a dissapointing sequel so far and from what I've heard the story gets worse later on. There are massive improvements in terms of combat but everything else aside from visuals are practically the same and the story is just not gripping me. I'm massively dissapointed with how similar the core game is to HZD which was a flawed as hell game.

Horizon Forbidden West suffers from serious technical problems: the game at 60 fps is simply ugly to see, with very annoying flickering and shimmering phenomena, which affect the visual rendering to the point of making it look like a game in sub hd.

    - cliffhanger ending for a game that wont come for another 5-10 years?
    - Zeniths are so boring I felt like turning the game off. No Sephiroth type evil to see here. SNORE.
    - paying full price for a game whose “main” story is 10-20 hours tops is complete garbage when that story is low tier. FF7R got a pass because it was awesome start to finish. This…no. Especially when something like Witcher 3 and most FFs take 80+ Or persona at 120+. Not including side quests.

    Gameplay
The budget is very present, mechanics feel smooth and strong. Movement, Combat and other utility mechanics are improved from the first game. Enemies are bigger and tricky to deal with.

However, interacting with the world itself is mundane, the overwhelming majority of the areas are nice wallpaper that is quite forgettable outside a few landscape areas designed for photo mode fans. The world is very similar to a Ubisoft title with very little substance and is completely carried by the graphics. Games like BOTW, RDR2 and even the Yakuza franchise have their own open worlds but do everything they can to show that the world is independent of the MC while still making the MC and the player by proxy belong in the world. Take out the story the world is like a skeleton. There is nothing here except a powerful budget. The side quest is practically identical to the original. Simple fetch quest, hunt missions or base raids, that involve very boring characters who are basically there to add time to the game.

    Story
Building on the first one, the narrative continues Aloy's journey in the Horizon universe. I don't want to spoil anything because if were a fan of the first then you will enjoy the story this game offers. However, there are some glaring issues that haven't been addressed since the first game. The characters are very generic and no one in either the protagonist or the antagonist factions seem interesting. They all have simple motivations and the dialogue between character seem very uninspired. Expect to see a lot of dialogue and character interactions you see in C list movies. Despite the negatives I have said about the narrative, there are a few OBJECTIVE flaws in the game's story. The characters make sense in their motivations and ideologies, but do not go into this hoping to see a Scorsese masterpiece.

    Aloy
She is a nice character albeit a bit generic at times. And generic is fine if your character can make the story enjoyable. Nathan Drake is a perfect example of this. Aloy has a personality that makes her feel like she is an in-depth human being but she is very much the generic character that she tries very hard not to be. Her biggest flaw is that while she is generic, she is also boring to watch. When she interacts with other characters, she seems like she is in a Disney channel show, where everything seems robotic. Despite being one of the few ginger MC, she lacks originality. In the original, her character arc was much more present in the story but in the sequel, it seems like she only belongs in the story because the devs made her the main character. She tries to make herself distinct from the other protagonists' faction characters but it never feels natural. Lost Judgement had the same obstacle with Yagami but they managed to clear it with ease, by using his morals and making sure that Yagami is the only one that can play his role in the narrative. For Aloy in Forbidden West, that distinction is never made and ultimately weakens her character responsibility in the story by dropping in the stakes both morally and literally.

    Overall 6/10
If you like the original, you should get this game, you will most likely enjoy it. If you arent familiar with the franchise, it's best for you to try the original and then pick up the sequel if you like it. I think this game is very much overhyped but also very much overhated.

The jumping animation seems off too like she doesn't spring off the ledge. A number of times I've missed jumps simply because I didnt get enough momentum. I'm currently playing dying light 2 and breath of the wild and their world traversal light years ahead of HFW. The combat is also off. There is like a half second pause after every melee attack that puts you at a disadvantage against a lot of machines who use leaping attacks(damn near every machine I've encountered so far). The machines in this game have ungodly closing speed and range attack accuracy. Go in for a heavy attack and be ready to run, slide, and roll for your life. Planting traps/mines/drinking potions also have the same delay as you have to wait for aloy to complete her animation. She can't run and drink potions at the same time. Finally, I just don't find aloy interesting. She has to be the dullest protagonist of all the playstation franchises. No emotion or personality. Its all business with her. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Forbidden West is pretty much the same deal as Zero Dawn (obviously excluding the story). The open world is rich with various sidequests and activities to do. The graphics, facial animations and lip synching are among the best I've ever seen yet, and the voice acting, particularly from Ashly Birch as Aloy is great. Unfortunately it's just not as good. It consists of a decent story but ends inconclusively, the climbing controls are even more finnicky and unresponsive than the first one, the underwhelming combat was not improved, the tutorials and challenges in the melee pits are simply badly designed and there are way more bugs including some that even required me to reload a save. That would've been acceptable had it only affected the PS4 version, but there's no excuse for it to happen on PS5. It's still mostly a fun game, just a step back. Bigger but not better. Expand

the graphics of this game is gorgeous and vibrant and it has a huge and varied world for you to explore.
but the problems start with the core gameplay and missions which is bloated and sometimes boring. I still have serious problems with the core concept of this game which is fighting advanced robots using bow and arrows and a spear that doesn't deal much damage we are fighting huge robots not bears and wolves or something! most times I struggled to find the weak spots of the enemy robots and if you shoot non vulnerable parts of them it deals little to no damage and it annoys me. the game constantly makes you confused and each enemy is like a puzzle, some people might find this cool but it's actually very annoying so in some boss fights I had no choice than setting the difficulty on story thank god the story difficulty exists.
the side missions are so boring that i couldn't bother to continue doing them but if you don't do the side missions and just continue doing story missions you will end up much weaker than the enemies who move fast and shoot rockets at you and you only have a good old bow and arrow and a useless slingshot.
overall I rank this game 7/10 just because of it's great story and universe even though I hate the core mechanics of this series' gameplay

HFW suffers from bland characters (with few exceptions), and a lackluster story that goes completely off the rails towards the end. Someone compared it to Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, which seems fitting.

The story doesn't offer too many interesting elements. The most interesting one from HZD was Aloys backstory and the story of... well, the state the world is in, really. But that story has already been told, so what's left? Not too much besides adding "just one more bad thing" and clan wars. And the latter I couldn't care less about.

Another issue is Aloy's writing. The way she acts towards a certain character we know from HZD makes no sense. Nothing that character has done warrants that treatment at that point in time. Furthermore, she keeps talking during gameplay, sometimes pretty much spelling out solutions to puzzles after less than a minute of looking around. Look, Aloy, I love you, but you need to shut up for a minute.

The gameplay is largely the same, which is okay, I guess. More of the same.

The new areas to explore are unfortunately rather forgettable. The only one I remember is the flooded underwater area you visit at some point during the story. The rest is also "more of the same" but in a different location.

I didn't encounter too many bugs a few months or so after release, there was only a racing minigame that broke in a spectacular fashion, which was more funny than annoying. Performance was good, the 60 FPS mode is lovely. It's so smooth but looks beautiful at the same time. I hope all developers adopt this on console.

Honestly, unless you're a die-hard fan of the world of Horizon and you're super interested in clan wars, you should probably skip this game or get it at a steep discount.

HFW gives you the exact same gameplay as HZD with a couple of added game mechanics and a few upgrades to the gaming experience. Unfortunately most of the major issues from HZD are also present in HFW: The terrible camera that allows foliage to come between the camera and your target, Arrows not making contact with enemies, the bow failing to shoot straight or not loading correctly. New improved climbing has been added but this just means more places for Aloy to climb, the actual climbing animations can be janky, unpredictable, and annoying. The main story arc is fairly interesting but it is hampered by bland uninteresting characters, boring dialogue, generic tedious open world side quests and a ton of filler content. The programming tricks to hide shortcomings are very noticeable, the Alloy character is a render superimposed on a pre-rendered background (like Donkey Kong from the SNES or FFVII from PSX) for this reason there is no visual contact between characters and it is seen that the characters they skate on the stage or move like sprites (like Paper Mario) on a 3D background. The character, being a Sprite, does not correspond to the animations of hair loss or movements of the accessories or necklaces, making them look very fake. The character, being a Sprite, does not have believable lighting even against the light, Alloy's face is bright and shiny, the character is not there, it is a very cheap trick. The plants move so much that it seems that they are dancing, but nothing else moves, not even the houses, the fabric sails, the accessories and plumes. The story is very generic and the missions, these are generic. Yes, Alloy has a hook but of so many characters that have one it already looks like a bad skin of Nate Spencer (Bionic Commando), Rico Rodriguez (Just Cause) or Master Chief (Halo Infinite)

    Lo Meh:
The Forbidden Horizon West is sooo polluted with a lot of smoke, fog and dust… They were told, that the Horizon Forbidden West Preview Promo Video was a CGI movie not a game, but no one wanted to believe it.

Aloy’s personality is almost more robotic and two dimensional than the machines she’s constantly slaying to the point that I don’t really even want to hear what she has to say anymore in most dialogues. My job now is to gear up and push further into the FW. Food? Doesn’t matter. Dying? Doesn’t matter. Invisible walls? Oh yeah. Probably won’t be buying a third if they make it or will just wait til it’s on sale like I probably should have with this title. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I like to start with the negatives first:

    Cons:
Alright, i'm ready for the pitchforks to come in. I want to start by saying that I absolutely love this game so far, i'd say i'm about halfway through it. That being said, I do have a number of problems with it.

First off, something that can probably be fixed with a patch, is that when trying to enter one of the melee pits in a major city, the screen goes black and you have to exit out of the game a re-load it. Even then, theres no way to complete it as of right now which means the platinum trophy at least for me, is unobtainable.

Secondly, another thing that could improve with patches, is that there have been several instances where I have gotten "stuck" in the ground. Twice its happened while fast traveling, another time I was under water and I warped half into the ground, half out and almost died. Had to use a fast travel scroll and run all the way back to where I was. There are a couple more too that I cant recall exactly, again, ill remove this once the patches start rolling.

Lastly and the thing that led to my score out of 10, is the difficulty scaling. Like I said, I would assume im about halfway through the game at level 25 as of writing this review, and playing on the "Normal" difficulty setting. I would say that I am one to love a good challenge. I really like playing the Soulsborne series which is known for their difficulty, and ive finished almost all of them, but rarely in those games do I ever feel that things arent fair. In this game however, I get that quite often. Enemies adjust jumps mid way through the attack, most enemies have some kind of sweeping attack that is unavoidable unless you are a good distance away from them, most enemies have some kind of ranged attack that blankets an area, etc. Which brings me to the poor excuse for a dodge roll. In Horizon ZD, there was a set of skills that could improve your survivability by doing longer dodge rolls, and other things that made it seem like Aloy was a skilled badass hunter at the top of the food chain. In this game, it feels like youre the slowest, least nimble thing in the wild, and theres nothing you can do to improve it, not even a block mechanic. All of this normally wouldnt be too big of an issue, however it becomes an issue in an open world game that is supposed to be about exploration, questing, discovering new things. I had about 15 minutes to play this morning before work and I came across several groups of roaming apex machines. Not even close to being properly equipped to handle them. Maybe i'm doing something wrong? I have no clue. Like I said though, im no stranger to difficult games.

    Pros:

The game is absolutely beautiful on PS5. Im a bit of a fps snob but I cant pull myself to go out of resolution mode because of how amazing it looks. Melee combat is much improved and exciting compared to the last installment, and the PUZZLES!! I love the relic ruins and pretty much anything to do with platforming. I will give a tip though. I went into custom HUD settings and turned on "Interactive Object Display" to "Always on." That was I dont have to keep mashing R3 to find things in the world like machine drops and loot chests. Makes the QOL sooo much better and smooth.

An Ubisoft game done right. Pretty much standard open world stuff, forgettable side quests and a lot of hectic fighting.

    TLDR
Good : Stunning graphics, fun dino dynamics
Bad : Shut up Aloy, Weird disconnect with the combat/hitboxes, niggling bugs not ironed-out, soulless npcs nobody cares about. Overall : Visual style over gameplay substance but still worth playing (at least until Elden Ring comes out). It's more of the same style over substance with HFW. The cast of characters all look like

Overall : Visual style over gameplay substance but still worth playing (at least until Elden Ring comes out).

It's more of the same style over substance with HFW. The cast of characters all look like castoffs from the 90s show Tribe and the different tribes are all barely-distinguishable hippies in dayglo facepaint. The story is godawful and you will find yourself skipping through it because you just do not care about facepainted npc #9002. The world is stunningly beautiful to look at but poorly-designed (think AC Odyssey). A lot of it is irrelevant wilderness. An open world game can feel vast even if it doesnt have hundreds of miles of world. HFW feels like a lot of copypasted textures and areas. The combat sorely needs a lock on. Whether owing to bugs or poor design you will often find yourself getting one-shot by things not appearing on screen/appearing too late or too early. The hitboxes are all over the place. The biggest stumbling block and the worst offender is Aloy (chubby face aside). Where once she was endearing now she is a nagging tutorial bore. She is constantly, constantly, constantly, constantly quipping. You will audibly tell her to shut up and you will do it into the double digits. There are times where you are not even afforded the chance to solve a basic Zelda 'shoot-the-glowy-thing' puzzle without Aloy straight up telling you what to do. This game treats you like a dribbling moron. And this is with the accessibility options turned off. You cannot take in the beauty of this game without wishing its protagonist would shut up. If you pick up a rock she quips. If you pick up a plant she quips. If you take longer than 5seconds to solve a puzzle she quips and tells you what to do. This makes the game a tour. And it sucks. Because it could be a GOTY contender if Aloy were quieter and made to fit into the games world more. There is an odd disconnect at times and she will clip through things. This game is another case of 'look at the pretty graphics! never mind the glitchy gameplay!'.

o jogo é bonito, mas muito mais do mesmo. Parece o 1 com melhorias gráficas. No PS5 o jogo fica renderizando o cenário, que passa despercebido por quem não tem um olhar crítico. Vale a pena se divertir.

This game is a step backwards from zero dawn…. Graphics are seriously almost identical. Character movement has gone significantly backwards. It is amazing how much I get stuck on a platform or the pathing is just awful. Get stuck on a ledge and for some reason can not jump. Feels like I don’t have control of Alloy way to much. Is it an awful game? No. It just a very average game that I would rank as a step backwards for the gaming industry, instead of what I was expecting to be a true showcase for what the ps5 era would be. Expand

I wouldve liked to give Horizon FW a higher score but sadly the bugs and glitches are ruining the game. The graphics are flawless but the gameplay seems just the same from the original nothing new. Aloy seems more annoying thou than ever before and the shape of her face looks weird despite having a great physique and enemy AIs are clunky

Forbidden west is a bad game rather nicely wrapped. The game mechanics feel old and awkward, this also goes for much of the game's main storyline.
Aloys idle conversations are abysmal and it can be irritating to play. NPC´s are competing for the most annoying costars onscreen which does not help either.
It's fun enough overall and will entertain you for several hours, it's just simply

I found the controls to be really complicated and I got trapped in a puzzle for like 20 minutes not knowing what to do and not being able to leave. It's honestly been a really frustrating experience so far.
Graphically it's good, though you have to choose between framerate and graphics, and most people are going to go for frames. Overall it's good but maybe not for me.

Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla's best game to date, taking Aloy to new heights with a blockbuster release that meets the high standards set by PlayStation in recent years. While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
