    I don't know how anyone in their right mind could rate this below an 8. By no metric imaginable could this be rated as anything less than good. I think for what it was, knowing the delicate balance of re-creating a time-honored universe while making a good game.....it hit the mark beyond anything MOST of us could have imagined and should have expected. I have to give it a 10 because it gave me everything I was looking for and then some. I don't see how God of War and Breath of the Wild are so much better than this....and those games received 10's. I definitely don't understand how some of the same people giving this game low scores looked at the last horizon game and the copy and pasted last of us and gave them rave reviews. Play the game...be amazed...that is all.… Expand

    Great game runs great on my ps5 no major issues for a rpg fresh out the box highly recommended if you love the universe of Harry Potter even if you didn't before it can make a fan out of you my gf had never seen movies and the game made her her want to watch em so we are.

    Politics aside, I go into this neutral as a mid-fan of the source material. I was utterly blown away. It is, for lack of a better word, magical. From the opening scenes to the quest-to-quest interaction, this game understands how to spin; indeed a tale worth telling. Gameplay is    You either didn't play it or are going in with some deep prejudice to dislike the game, to dislike this game.

Gameplay is unique, not perfect, but far better than most of us expected and, in some places, incredible (I suggest tweaking some of the default control options involving the camera). The sheer amount of detail packed in every inch of this game is staggering, indeed a love letter to the fans and just a fantastic achievement to the average gamer.

    Please don't listen to all the haters; they are mad at the series creator, a survivor of abuse herself, for being leering at people pretending to care about human rights while 100% ignoring the reality of the situations for others at the same time. She has virtually nothing to do with this game, so they attack it because they know they can't hurt her directly.    … Expand

    Beautifuly done open world rpg. That's was at it is at It's core. The added spectacular that is everything Harry Potter IP is absolutely entertaining.

    Simply a great game no matter how you slice it. Good story, user friendly controls/gameplay. The amount of detail that went into all the architecture of Hogwarts Castle is beyond words. Looking forward to DLC's and a sequel!

    Hogwarts legacy provides a feeling of wonder alongside fantastic gameplay while maintaining all the charm the Harry Potter books and movies had, The game doesn’t necessarily require any knowledge of Harry Potter to be enjoyed or underwood as it provides a unique identity for itself that makes it stand out on its own

    AMAZING game, I'm so happy that the developers put their efforts on this game, it feels so alive and everything is literally breathtaking. 10/10 game it's worth every penny I spent on it.

    Absolutely brilliant, immersive world that gives you same experience as the book with more freedom. Combat system is something completely unique and satisfying experience. Could say so much more good about it but I only want to rate the game to balance the 0's by trolls. Definitely best rpg experience I had since witcher 3, the game has so much to offer

    This game is amazing, whether you’re a fan of the Harry Potter world before or not! The story is good, and the graphics are amazing! Combat is in depth and challenging, and pulling off various combos is an exciting. There’s so much to do and get lost in once you get to open world, it’s hard not to get distracted and end up doing side quest after side quest, and losing yourself in theThis game is amazing, whether you’re a fan of the Harry Potter world before or not!     This game is to the Wizard world what Spiderman (2017) is to the best friend in the neighborhood, although they have released some good Harry Potter games in the past, this game totally bloaway all of them, is a completely different level.

    I haven't felt so much magic, excitement and enchantment since Zelda BOTW.
    The game is beautiful, the writing is great, the scenery and details are rich, the quests are addictive and enigmatic... The music is also a pure delight. From graphics to combat, its open world to sense of exploration, there is so much to enjoy. I have read some negative critics from some reviews about its story line being over the surface but I have been enjoying it so far and it's intriguing.     An astonishing accomplishment. The game manages to embody the feeling of the world of Harry Potter and do it in a way that feels distinct from the world we have already seen. The story is interesting and has enough to it that it keeps you engaged and there is enough to do that you can never claim to be bored and best of all, very little repetition of activities.

    Makes you fall back in love with gaming again. They've knocked it out of the park with this game. The level of detail and effort put in is staggering and mind blowing. This was created by fans, for fans. 10/10.

    The sheer detail put into this game is incredible, it's pretty much a perfect experience for any fan and a great open world game for anybody who enjoys that sort of game, an easy recommend and an absolute blast to play, to the devs thank you so much

    Hogwarts Legacy has a great character design and could have had a great story too but the story is not so strong. the gameplay feels great and exploration is so entertaining. visually its great and Hogwarts castle is so detailed.

    Hogwarts Legacy is definitely a beautiful-looking game that doesn't have a groundbreaking story, but does have a beautiful world, a fun combat system, broomstick flying, and of course an incredible amount of side quests and missions. [Issue#325]

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
