    Just love it! Was waiting for a realistic FPS simulator on PS for a long time. JUST don't enable crossplay.

    This is brutally realistic looking game in a similar vein to Battlefield 5 but at a much slower pace. If requires you to work together, not only at a squad level but at platoon/company level too using both Squad chat and proximity chat (also command chat if you are the squad leader so you can talk to the commander and other squad leaders etc).

    The gameplay feels realistic in terms of there being bouts of intensive firefights dispersed with times when you are moving to a location, which can take some time unless a friendly driver stops to pick you up. ;) This change in pace between the firefights just helps to increase the tension until suddenly you hear a crack of gun fire and rounds start whistling past your head as your vision goes blurry.

    If you're after a quick fix of fast paced mayhem (thinking COD/Battlefield) this game might seem a little too slow paced for you. If, however, you're looking for a realistic feeling, team based tactical experience then this could very well be the game you've been waiting for.

    The game also fully utilises the PS5's haptic feedback so you get some good resistance as you're lining up on your enemy and gently squeezing the trigger. Also, you can 'feel' the ground below you as you crawl on your belly. The sounds are great, the graphics are awesome. I'm loving it!    … Expand

    You've never experienced a true WW2 sim if you've never played this game. I finally decided to install this game without prior knowledge to what this game even is and all I can say is I'm hooked. Do yourself a favour and get this game NOW. I even quite BR games after this one.

The most intense and chaotic online matches I've been apart of. The game makes you feel like you're in a scene from Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan. And playing with friends in a squad is such a blast.

    This game is awesome! I love rolling around the map with the boys in our tank squad, firing at unsuspecting people and sending body parts flying everywhere. Needs a lot of communication with the team and the community seems to be embracing it. The experience is a lot more fun with mates chatting and talking crap. For a free game on PS5 it's fantastic, proper controller support, First gameThis game is awesome!     Well if you don't like simulator games you should probably let this one go.

    If you do like a war simulator you are in for a hardcore game that will kill you again and again and again. Untill you start to play your part in the squad. You can't go YOLO and try to take a with tank with grenades like in battlefield.     Find a way around the tank or flank your enemies. It's such a rewarding game when you start to play together. For all of you that gives this a low score saying things about the maps are boring. The maps are replicas of real strategic maps from WW2. A true genuinely masterpiece.

    If you like ultra realistic shooters this is the game for you. Otherwise don't pick this up and keep your cries in the Gulag or some other hectic Call of duty game.    … Expand

    Finally a good tactical Shooter on a PS5

    You have a blast with this once it clicks with you and your Team comunicates and everyone works together. It has a steep learning curve but it is absolutely worth it

Warzone has been my fave the past two years, but I’ve been missing something that has more depth. HLL is just that! It’s a combination of the original Battlefield 1942 and the board game Risk, but in aThe best game I’ve ever played on console. Warzone has been my fave the past two years, but I’ve been missing something that has more depth. HLL is just that! It’s a combination of the original Battlefield 1942 and the board game Risk, but in a digital format for console upgraded to 2022. It’s a game with extremely accurate historical battlefields from WWII and a great game for the more mature player who feels that the other first shooters on the market are to childish. The game needs a level of intelligence and strategy in order to succeed. If you’re lucky and end up in a squad and also have a great commander, I’ll guarantee that you’ll be stuck for hours w/o understanding what happened with time. The team spirit on the field with the serious players is an amazing experience that gives you a feeling of genuine brotherhood (or sisterhood). The console version is still struggling with some problems as far as bugs and server issues, but seem to be dedicated to resolve issues as soon as they surface. If your a fan of classic WWII series/movie like Band of Brothers, The Longest Day etc. you’ll love this game!… Expand

    Great game! I have played many warfare games and this one completes me. 100% no doubt that this is the best warfare action game around.
    It’s not easy and that’s great. Give it a chance and don’t go into war thinking you are Rambo on this game! It won’t work

    You will die if you run out into the open! Either by a enemy sniper team or maybe a machine gunner lurking.. waiting to mow down the unsuspecting.     A brutal, hardcore simulation of war; where communication and team work is needed, a great immersive experience and accurate arsenal of war, plus the different transport types. Comms between squad and proxy chat between other squads around you plus the commander is incredibly. Teamwork makes the dream work

    Unbelievable game! Don’t listen to whingers who were expecting a COD clone. This is a WW2 military simulator. It’s hard! It needs communication and team work. When played right it’s the best gaming experience ever!

    Amazing game, hard, annoying, but amazing! Every time you die you will get pissed, but every time u get an objective and kill someone you will feal like you’re actually there, so yeah, 10 out of 10

    I love this game!!! Yes it has its problems But what game doesn't? The gameplay is awesome, the environments are beautiful, the maps are huge and it's super realistic. It's not a mindless game like COD I'll tell you that much. In order to enjoy this game you have to have patience and work as a team.

    Loving the game and the most recent update. Truly addicted to this right now. Having a mic is definitely needed for that team play. I have played some intense matches with it coming down to the literal last seconds of a win.

What we have been waiting for since we were kids playing the original call of duty’s and metal of honor games back when they were more realistic but with not so great graphics… and a direction at one point in time battlefield was headed. But this is a game now with amazing graphics, huge maps and roles toMilItary sim. Incredibly realistic. Amazing atmosphere. Finally finally finally!!! What we have been waiting for since we were kids playing the original call of duty’s and metal of honor games back when they were more realistic but with not so great graphics… and a direction at one point in time battlefield was headed. But this is a game now with amazing graphics, huge maps and roles to play TOGETHER. Everyone has a role, work together, talk, and play for the win. Mic is 100% required. No mic, not talking and not working together will ruin the experience for you for sure. But do so and this game will immerse you into another world with plenty of truly epic moments.

    Couldn't be happier with this game. Got tired of COD and Battlefield so this is a perfect replacement. It does have a few minor issues but it really doesn't take away from the game. Love it and because of this game Battlefield 2042 will be an easy pass.

    This game has the most detailed maps I’ve ever seen! HLL is brutal, punishing, frustratingly fun. fun. The game has greatly improved since the beta. The games road map has my interest peaked. I got it for free on PS+. Will gladly pay for dlc’s. Indie game studio doing all the right things! No AAA gimmicky **** with Hell Let Loose!

    Fantastic game but does have a learning curve. Can’t Rambo across maps like COD nor do you get constantly sniped like Battlefield. Working together as a squad and as a whole team determined who wins matches not just KD which is a refreshing change to the FPS genre. Watch out, this is hardcore mode so 1-2 bullets will drop you. Highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a new game.

    The premise (a WW2 FPS with an interest in realism and a limited HUD) is sound. But snipers have an unreasonable advantage over every other unit, and while communication is important to the experience, there’s no decent alternative to voice chat (which almost nobody uses). For a large-scale WW2 shooter, try Enlisted instead – it’s more fun and is free to play. [Issue#8, p.97]

    Caveats noted, playing Hell Let Loose with a decent squad of players willing to communicate, a competent commander, and skills sufficient to the moment is a unique, exciting, and extremely rewarding first-person shooter experience, ultimately much more satisfying than the arcade shooters to which most players are accustomed. Getting to the point of real comfort with the game’s mechanics, interface and team systems takes a commitment of time and the willingness to learn from others and the game’s written material, and is definitely not for everyone. Hell Let Loose does a great job of reminding us how important teamwork, communication, and reliance on others can be, not just in war but maybe in the broader context of our lives.
