    There are a few "good" things, the lighting, draw distance, and some colour schemes..
    But the character models are trash, no effort was put in if we consider all of the bugs.
    It's a cash-grab at the expense of nostalgia. It's even more bitter when you realize this is why they shut down all those mods and removed the original games from the store.     Very dissapointed with this. I have played all of the originals and understand that this is a remaster. This cannot be called 'Definitive' with missing songs, bad frame rates and terrible graphic style for the characters. Avoid.

    At this point I believe the game companies care only about maximizing profit.This ,, DEFINITIVE EDITION '' Is just a sick joke and a new way to milk the Grand Theft Auto franchise and who knows maybe they do the same with Bully or Red Dead Redemption.An honest opinion about the game?

    This bundle is the best possible definition of the term nostalgia influenced cash grab, there were mods for the original version that made them look better then this self entitled "definitive edition"

    Это не ремастер, а херня из под коня.
    Если бы наняли модеров, получилось бы значительно лучше. ФПС просядает, частые баги. А Томи Версетти и брутального мужика превратился в отьевжегося пирога. Отстой!

    Apart from the love to these games i totally hate Take Two for making my child hood memories ruined, the game has 20 year old bugs that i think are important and should be patched after 20 years… just disappointed really im totally not going to spend 55£ on this game, maybe when its going to be on a steam sale or something but at this point i just dont care anymore… sad but true

    Grand Theft Auto III is still a great game when played on PS2. It was revolutionary for it’s open world, themes, and variety of game play styles. My review is of the “remastering” not the original content. After spending 20+ hours with this “remaster” of GTA III, I had to accept it’s failure to give me anything I’d consider an improvement beyond adding a weapon/radio wheel. Vice City and San Andreas are more of the same, but to a lesser extreme as they were originally a bit less jankey.     Honestly... I didn't expect a disaster like this coming from an amazing developer like Rockstar Games. Are they seriously calling THIS a remaster? The game is costing an absurd amount here in Brazil and as if that wasn't enough, they deliver the game that way for all of us...

    This is easily the worst remaster of any game ever made. The aesthetics of the game are completely ruined. The only game that has actually improved visuals is Vice City. GTA III has lost the dreary oppressive visuals it was praised for when originally released. GTA SA has lost its California feel and look. By stripping out the fog and the orange lighting from SA, and stripping out theThis is easily the worst remaster of any game ever made. The aesthetics of the game are completely ruined. The only game that has actually improved visuals is Vice City. GTA III has lost the dreary oppressive visuals it was praised for when originally released. GTA SA has lost its California feel and look. By stripping out the fog and the orange lighting from SA, and stripping out the trash on the street and the blueish gray tint from GTA III. The games all look unison. You could show footage from all three games and it would look like the same game. Vice City maintains it aesthetic due to the improved lighting, the city really pops at night with all the neon lights. Now lets get into the visual bugs. Some characters look like Patrick Star from Spongebob. Some characters have no neck. Just shoulders and torso that stretches up to reach their head. Most of the characters look like they were made of clay. Some textures were completely botched when upscaled. The streets have no texture, they look like grey clay. The grass texture looks like it was pulled from a Unity asset flip. Some clothes were utterly destroyed and look downright awful. The billboards and signs in the game are littered with spelling mistakes, I'd assume from A.I upscaling. They is actually a part in Vice City where the walls surrounding some ocean water have the textures of a person face on them instead of their intended textures. And finally, the rain, oh my god the rain. The rain looks like its just an overlay on top of the game, and its so intense that you literally cannot see because of it. Players are actually reporting headaches and eye strain from trying to see while driving in the rain. Also the rain for some reason does not appear over water, it travels through roofs, and it also moves with the screen to a degree. I believe this is proof that the rain is a screen overlay and not actually appearing in the world itself. Now lets move on to the launch of the game, when launched, Rockstar almost instantly shut the Rock Star launcher down, making all of their games unplayable until it went back up. Once it went back up, the Definitive Edition trilogy was nowhere to be found. This was because the wrong version of the game was shipped by mistake. I'm unsure how a mistake like this was made, but I could look past it if it was fixed quickly rather than taking days. For all of these mistakes to come from a studio that has made millions off of GTA Online and Red Dead Online, this is downright depressing. Lastly, the games are built off the mobile phone ports rather than the original releases, meaning all the bugs in the original release, and added bugs from the mobile port, are still present in the game, Nearly a decade after the mobile port, and nearly 2 decades from the original release. The soundtrack missing half the songs is excusable, despite being painful, but the audio quality is not excusable, its downright atrocious. The dialogue sounds like it was recorded from two tin cans connected end on end. Id like to end this off by stating Take-Two Interactive, Rock Stars parent company, has removed the original trilogy, and is filing law suits and DMCA takedowns against modders that made massive visual improvements to the original trilogy. This may be due to Rock Star fearing people would be more tempted to play those visually improved editions rather than their "Definitive" edition. The modding community is what kept these games alive and kept selling copies, and now Take-Two sets their crosshairs on them so they can push their visually inferior versions of the games. This is a disaster that makes Cyberpunk 2077's launch look likes the golden standard. Remember Rock Star mocked CD Projekt Red for their disastrous launch, and then pulled an even worse launch not even a year later.… Expand

    What have Rockstar done to these games? It's so awful to revive such classics and destroy them like this, there are too many bugs in the game that didn't exist before, where's the QA team? Why Grove Street Games worked so poorly on character models, specially in San Andreas? It's a big shame, better bring Dan Houser back and fire who took his place.

I feel ripped off. I swear grove street games just used the mobile versions of these old games and made better.     While this remaster does provide some Quality-Of-Life features, and higher resolution textures - it falls far short of the remasters these classics deserved.

    It's an almost indescribable part - but the games doesn't retain the feels and styles of the originals. The textures are all over the place, there just isn't much consistency to them - and the game world feels just odd as a result. Some NPCs have been totally butchered, and the games have an almost cartoonish style - totally at odds with the originals.

    Its a pity, but this is apparently Rockstar's quality of their games today - what a fall from grace. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. On the Rockstar scale of game ratings, these would be an awful. It's a let down, plain and simple.    … Expand

    Some features which added charm to the games have been removed, when I fly an aeroplane high in San Andreas you can see the whole map at the same time which makes it feel tiny and less immersive, the fog was in the original game from 2004 to make the map feel bigger than it really was.

    Fiquei com a sensação que podiam ter feito mais, jogo idêntico ao antigo só que com shaders e mais bugs, os bugs e o jeito que estragaram o jogo cheio de defeitos foi horrível, entregaram o jogo de qualquer jeito sem ao menos ter um esforço pra entregar o jogo redondo

    Game looks like trash. Mechanics are not upgraded. Rain looks like white noise all over you screen and you can’t even see anything. Bad for Rockstars rep. How could they possibly think that rain is acceptable. Definitely the worst remaster I’ve ever seen

    Further proof Take 2 and Rockstar know nothing about what the fans want. When people have been paid a wage to "re master" these games and the result are plan bad it makes me loss hope for this company. The modding community looked after these games better.

Почему игру так халтурно сделали это же rockstar....Они убили оригинальную атмосферу игр и восприятие, что можно похвалить так это мини карту и меню они стали удобнее, игра ОЧЕНЬ плохо оптимизирована, кто то возможно скажет мол это МОИ ОЖИДАНИЯ но мне кажется что дело не в этом...Если честно, это ужас! Почему игру так халтурно сделали это же rockstar....Они убили оригинальную атмосферу игр и восприятие, что можно похвалить так это мини карту и меню они стали удобнее, игра ОЧЕНЬ плохо оптимизирована, кто то возможно скажет мол это МОИ ОЖИДАНИЯ но мне кажется что дело не в этом...

    No puedo llegar a creerme que le hayan dado este gran proyecto a Grove Street Games porque no han estado a la altura ni de lejos, les ha venido muy grande pero también la culpa la tiene Rockstar por haberles dado luz verde para lanzar semejante destrozo. Tiene cosas buenas sin duda, pero el 80% son bugs, mala resolución, colisión de de físicas con FPS....y mucho etc. Han jugado con laNo puedo llegar a creerme que le hayan dado este gran proyecto a Grove Street Games porque no han estado a la altura ni de lejos, les ha venido muy grande pero también la culpa la tiene Rockstar por haberles dado luz verde para lanzar semejante destrozo.     Now first of all the game is crap. In Turkey, the game is worth 539 Turkish liras.There is no problem with the dollar rate. If you are looking for in-game systems, GTA has old systems and old gameplay. What character structure has been handled. Nor gameplay. So let me tell you, instead of buying this game, you can install mods on old GTA games and have a better time. That's all I'm going to say.

No he pagado por la copia del juego, la descargue gratuitamente por torrent y lo digo con todo mi orgullo.

    i can't believe it, i spent years waiting for this remaster, and all they did was put fingers in cj's hands. it's an average remaster, to be polite, and overpriced above all else, and the game remains with the same simple, silly bugs that were acceptable at the time the game was released, and today it's just a ridiculous detail. they really look like they're trying to make a sucker out of us.

    The Game was okay at first but the more I played The more I hated the gameplay. The bugs and gameplay is too bad. They changed so many stuff that this game feels like a Chinese ripoff mobile game .

    It's baffling that Rockstar doubles down on taking down modders who improve their old tired games infinitely and for free and then crap something out like this. What absolute TRASH Rockstar is going down that path to becoming another has been hated game dev. They should be ashamed they took our favorite games and ruined them.

    i have a theory why they didnt post this game on steam, the theory is that then gamers will see how big of a dissapoinment this game is. u know steam do have a thumb up or down review system/ability and then players will give this game so many thumbs down that people before buying the game will see that this game is bad. then if someone see that a game is bad ofcourse less people will buy it when they see a bad that is mostly negative or overwhelingly bad reviews on steam.

    and also that they said unexpected bugs and fails with the game, xD that is like i can clearly see that i painted the wall pink when the person who payed me to pain wanted grey. yea i didnt see that. it was verry unexpected that i did use pink instead of grey. ofcourse i painted the room. i have worked and seen it everyihing in and out. but yea this was verry unexpected. xD

    Disappointing. I can't believe I spent a full price for this low quality port of legendary games. I am committed to no longer buy Rockstar games at launch until I see positive reviews from both trusted reviewers and you the gamers/customers.

    I switch between m+k and controller, which the game actually handles quite fluently, but didn't expect they manage to destroy even that in some cases. For example, controlling the jetpack in San Andreas, is just broken. AI in general is broken, but not sure if this is remnant from the past code, so wont dig too much into that, but I do love it when enemies freezes when you shoot them, or the fact that they use wallhacks at times. Also, who doesnt love enemies that are invincible just because they are behind invisible walls, unless you hit a certain distance from them for their AI to target you?

    Then the physics is a bit changed. For example, in San Andreas, every road that is marked on the map, if you are in a car, well its asphalt. Stay in the marked lane, no traction problem.... Want to fly a jetpack, and play on PC? Better not use m+k, cause the controls don't work (seriously, they dont work, you need a controller for the jetpack, you cant land with m+k). Want misaligned textures? Get a tattoo in San Andreas and watch any cut scene where its visible.

    On the positive, Vice City is fairly playable, except one mission you just cant beat (except on PC, where you can turn to the modders that they so deeply hate over at Rockstar). San Andreas is a hot mess. Haven't touched GTA 3, as that game doesn't interest me too much to revisit in this turdfest (got it at release, but I remember the mechanics and I think without a proper remake, they would be too dated to even be worth revisiting). I got the game, expecting a hot mess, and even owning all the classic titles on Steam. All I wanted to do was to play the games I remember and be able to properly use the controller when I want to and Mouse + Keyboard when I want to, and funnily enough it kind of delivered on that and even then I still ended up being disappointed somehow. This isn't a remake, it is far from a "definitive" version, and even if you are aware of all the issues, just don't get this. I mean, Rockstar can try to polish this turd, but it will still smell.    … Expand

    OMG do I regret buying this! No where near the value of $60 bucks! This should've been a $20 release. Rockstargames are the last mofos I'd ever think would disappoint me on a game release. Grove Street Games really put a huge dent in your reputation! Should NOT be called "Definitive" edition because its not! The true definitive edition is the original PS2 version!!

    After playing these games since November and now we are in patch 1.5, I still say this game is not even worth your time to play it or buy it yet, just don't touch this game yet.

    Still has crappy NPCs
    Fog Effect in San Andreas still terrible
    and game crashes when it wants to

    Why anyone would let a mobile game developer - take charge here, is beyond me. The game is so beautiful, but works like Russian Tanks.

    Thank the Lord, I got out before the money, was charged.
    Might try and go back to Multi Theft Auto.

    The only existing, - GTA Nostalgia Center.

    It's definitely rubbish. I've played all gta games on my childhood, it was amazing, it was something new when they released them. Now it's too old too hard to play. I don't understand why rockstar released this, do they need more money or what? Such a shame. A game needs to worth the money you spend and and the time you play. It doesn't worth them all. Terrible

Over 40 music tracks have been removed from the trilogy. From Michael Jackson, Dr Dre, Ozzy Osbourne, The Buggles and many more. There are many weird graphical glitches and weird design choices, like removing the fog, sun effects and much more. A lot of what made the original games such loved classics is simply gone. Someone has since gone into the game code and seen notes left within the code by the game developers who made this remaster. When you read these messages it becomes very clear that this remaster was made by people who didn't care one bit. It is a quickly thrown together rushed out cash grab trying to cash in on the nostalgia of the originals just in time for all that Christmas cash. Rockstar has become super greedy and sloppy ever since GTAV Online and shark cards became a thing. Ever since Leslie Benzies, Dan Houser, Lazlow and others left Rockstar Games the company is finished.… Expand

On PS5, constant freezing and frame issues, graphical errors on top of terrible graphics, AI is entirely messed up, crashing and driving erratically. The AI upscaled textures have been predicted and are wrong, sometimes losing the original jokes. Music is missing and some songs censored, the games have all lost their souls in this "upgrade". Is not worth the 54.99£ asking price. I can only hope most of these issues are patched out soon.… Expand

I would never pay the whole 60 euro price tag for the trilogy; even if you get three games, it is still not worth it... I'd consider waiting for at least a 50% discount, however if you value honesty, I wouldn't pay rockstar a thing for what appears to be a half-arsed job and sleazy business tactics. They removed many of the classic soundtracks from the game and banned mods, which should serve as a reminder of how consumer-friendly R* really is.… Expand

    From the Definitive Edition of the iconic GTA titles emerged a technically unfinished remaster, which remained halfway. The content is and will always remain timeless, but the way to get to it and to enjoy it is simply not good.
