    Just come on, Rockstar, it feels like you put no effort into this game. Frame rate issues, bad physics, emotionless character face, horrible modelling, no option to add fog in San Andreas. Please put the original games back up so we don't have to play this new garbage.

    An absolute shame!!! Playing on my PS5 is a mess - in quality mode 30 fps and stuttering and in performance mode it’s still more stuttering and unplayable !!!

    An absolute disgrace, and a complete slap in the face to a huge and loyal fan base. After being foolish enough to pre-order, I was unable to even install it, only to have it removed from my Rockstar Launcher entirely, meaning it is not easy to refund. Players will have to go to Xsolla (the purchasing framework company) to get one. A waste of my time and money. Don't go near it.

    What is the point of me buying a game if they can't even publish it correctly... Hate to say it, but I really hope this destroys Rockstar's reputation, i will never forgive them for this.

    A lot of bugs, models are awful, rain looks like salt, there is a lot of fps loss, scaling is awful too...
    I don't even want to talk about the aim, nothing changed.
    The weapons wheel like in GTA V is great, like for the radios

I must admit, I am sure there were a few people at Grove Street Games who wanted it to be a decent product but were rushed. I understand it can take a while to programme, but considering they took the physics code from the original game for an excuse to keep the ‘classic look and feel’.The fall of a once great company!     The best one is GTA 3, but San Andreas has lost all of its soul; weird graphics and rain effects, over-the-top draw distances, no working back lights at nighttime (first world problem, I understand), and no classic fog makes the map fell small and pathetic. How did Rockstar make the best game of all time, Red Dead Redemption 2 (although quite glitchy) to this?

    Truly unreal.

    This is what happens when you priorities money over delivering a quality product and hiring talent. A true embarrassment. Is Rockstar Games ran by 12 year olds? Heck, even they would do better than the grown adults at this rate. To quote Greta Thunberg, ‘All you care about is money’ can be applied to Take 2 and Rockstar. A disaster which is irredeemable.

    This it is for innovation. I hope you kept the originals, because they’re gone forever - a violation of game preservation! How about suing people who made mods to improve the game, and was once promoted by the game studios. Money, money, money, must be funny in a rich man’s world!

    As long as the CEO can pay for his six-figure car he won’t ever get the full power from, they do not care about the player.

    At least the developers of Mafia cared enough to create a good and worthy remake.

    Don’t even get me started on the Rockstar Game Launcher. 2,000 employees. What do they do all day?

    One can not be more than morally ashamed by the quality of these remasters. They deserve a respectful remake, not this garbage.     I'm sorry Rockstar, just asked sony for a refund. I know this is a remaster and not a remake but still... That's just where the problem starts: in 2021, after games like RDR2 or GTA V (not to mention other companies masterpieces), you can't just re-release games with old physics, old gameplay. These are straight instagram filter versions.

I played all 3 games now and San Andreas was the most unplayable one. Alot of softlocking in Missions because of unbreakable stuff which should be breakable, characters freeze    Stay away from this unfinished product.

Can barely see smoke coming out of damaged vehicles. Street lamps and stoplights going from upright to laying on the ground in 1 frame after being hit by a car. The audio has not been remastered at all. I'm sure there are more problems, but those are the few I saw in my very short window to play the games before they got removed. I can forgive removed music tracks. I can forgive a few odd looking character models. I can forgive low quality audio. But I can't forgive them for the extent to which they have butchered this trilogy. It's a disgrace. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.… Expand

    San Andreas is my favorite video game of all time, so it's quite sad to see how poorly this version runs. I have not played Vice City or III yet, but I have no plans to after seeing how poorly San Andreas runs.

    I decided to buy it on the Nintendo Switch, which was a huge mistake. The visuals somehow look worse than the 10th anniversary edition released on mobile devices. The framerate averages around 24-30 fps, that is if you're not in a gunfight, driving, or anything else intense (aka playing the game).

    There are lots of visual bugs that make the game seem like it's in alpha and the character models look like they're from a Nintendo 64 game.

    Racing missions are near impossible to beat since the game will lag if you are driving at high speeds, and it lags even more when hitting checkpoints.

    This game was "remastered" by Grove Street Games - the same company responsible for the awful 10th anniversary edition released in 2014. The original and remastered versions of these games were pulled from all digital retailers, meaning the only way to buy any version of these games online is to buy this horrible release for a rip-off of $60.

    Grove Street Games needs to be disbanded and Rockstar should be ashamed that they ruined the legacy of their greatest games with this release.    … Expand

    How the hell does my PC with RX 6900xt and Ryzen 7 5800x can't run the game with 60fps in 2k ??? FPS in these 3 games dropped so bad not even over 40fps. This is pure garbage not even worth your time to play and pay. The optimization is the worst.

    Game is trash, I feel scammed.

    The textures look like something out of a children's cartoon: they exaggerated the saturation of the characters to try to look "new generation". The most ridiculous thing is that they try to sell you at $60 something that mods could achieve perfectly. Disappointing, to say the least.

    There are bugged textures left and right. There is a night and day difference in the detail in the face of the protagonists compared to any other character, and it feels incredibly out of place. There are mission bugs, particularly in VC’s Gun Runner. The frame rate is inconsistent at best, dropping the most drastically when it begins to rain. The rain is also unbearable. In GTA 3, it is just shy of impossible to see when it’s raining. They’re white streaks that cover the entire screen, being more akin to TV static than actual rain. In VC and SA, the issue doesn’t seem to be quite as intolerable, but nonetheless they are still just white streaks flying across the screen instead of something that actually resembles rain drops. You could go through the r/GTA or r/GTATrilogy for 5 minutes and spot 30 bugs players have found, which vary from immersion breaking to game breaking. There are removed songs and animations in each game, the most egregious of the animations being everything muscular CJ does now. And as far as missing songs goes, the company that made this game has amassed an unbelievable amount of wealth, and it’s nothing but laziness and greediness to not work out licensing for the ACTUAL DEFINITIVE SOUNDTRACK. The games’ audio received almost no polish. It seems the only thing actually done to change these games from what they were before is the graphical appearance. When these games were current, they were the best looking PS2 era games around. With the “Definitive” editions just released, they are still nothing more than the best looking PS2 era games. The only changes to make gameplay any smoother are the free camera, and free camera drive by controls. By today’s standards, GTA 3 is next to unplayable. Nothing about it feels good. It was a chore to complete, and it’s a game from my childhood that I have incredibly fond memories of. I even go back and play the original version once every 2 or 3 years, along with VC and SA. These games deserved improvements to make them appeal to the generation that didn’t get the chance to play them when all the hype surrounded them. Instead, we’ve gotten 3 bug ridden messes from a studio that already ruined the 10 year anniversary edition of, arguably, everybody’s favorite game, San Andreas (I prefer VC for the story, and SA for gameplay). If changes aren’t made VERY soon to fix performance issues, and eliminate the dozens of bugs players are coming across, I think the legacy of these games will be tarnished, and the reputation of all companies involved will be questioned of laziness and greed. tl;dr: It’s a rushed mess. It is incredibly apparent they needed at least another 2 months to have the games properly built. And now, instead, we’re going to have to wait and hope that they add patches that we should’ve never had to wait for in the first place.… Expand

    Rockstar does not deserve my money. I requested a refund after the disastrous PC launch. I have been unhappy with the company for a very long time and this was the absolute last chance I was willing to give them. I’m sure my purchase does not mean anything to this greedy, billion dollar organization, but they will not get another penny out of me no matter what.     Preordered on ps5 but played horrible in terms of performance and got my refund luckily. Shouldn’t have fps problems when the game cost the same price as a full fledged new triple A title and isnt a full on remake from the ground up. Very little effort was put into the games and it shows.

    I grew up on Rockstar games and for GTAV and the both Red Dead titles, I actually went to midnight launches to be the first to get these now iconic and game defining titles in my hot little hands and on to my console.
    What I can’t understand is how Rockstar would trash their brand, reputation and legacy for such a grubby money grab.
    The fact that this “definitive” more aptly, defective version of the collection was allowed to be released by what I have regarded as the greatest game developer in history is bordering on criminal intent. The fact there was no gameplay shown or review copies given out prior to release would appear to support this.
    I also find it appalling and galling that Rockstar have removed these legacy titles and chased and harassed modders (who have done a far better job than the company tasked with producing this series) and threatened them with punitive damages.
    So now what is left of these games legacy? A steaming pile of lazy, underdone and underwhelming garbage.
    Ok, so the draw distance has been increased but so has the amount of bugs and glitches which I won’t list as so many others have done better than I can. However, special mention of rain effects that cripple the frame rate so substantially and bring on a sensation of nausea deserve a special mention.
    I’ll say it again, this launch is a grubby, disappointing cash grab.
    I never thought I would say this about a Rockstar release, but, I want my money back!!    … Expand

    Full of bugs in PS5 as well as Xbox series X, it's a disgusting port, I highly recommend avoiding this game and buying it as long as es dirty cheap

    Can't believe that the same studio that made GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 actually releasing this game, simply a blatant cash grab. These three gta games put Rockstar on the map, as the best game studio ever, and this is how they treated it. BIGGEST DISGRACE EVER!

    This is so bad, they should've had kept it by a simple remaster or just a port instead of changing or removing stuff that makes it worst. And it feels so odd to have nice graphics with outdated animations, they didn't even improved that and to take down Mods and removing the original healthy versions from the store is another BS.     Gta 3 is so bad because of its boring car missions and many bugs are here. But they are not only in this, like gta 3, vice city is also boring and bad. But not so like gta 3, gta 3 is RİDİCİLOUS. San andreas is better than the other games, but there are many bugs in it like the others. Rockstar saved its ass in san andreas for putting it a checkpoint system during the mission.     As a loyal player to the GTA series, I think it gives me a good feeling. But for a pro gamer who knows the details. I think the only thing that is matters most for Rockstar is money and nothing else.

Now they hired grove street games, which just shows rockstar doesn't care. This is how they treat the game that are responsible for their success today.     God awful remaster! Poor gameplay much worse than originals, I still have the originals on ps2 and can say the gameplay and character models are much worse in the remaster. This just shows pure laziness in outsourcing to a mobile games maker. We knew it wasn’t going to be great but this really took the biscuit!
