    Amazing game, it is the best conclusion to a story i have ever experienced. Took a total unexpected turn that when it caught me off guard i had to take a moment to realize what was going on. The gameplay its great too, the challenge of the previous game remains and it is improved upon even further. The story its for the most part well paced but some sections are unnecessary dragged on.     Every bit the masterpiece it was made to be and outstanding in every way. Huge game with plenty to do, epic boss fights, fantastic story and graphically phenomenal with amazing sounds. Goty for me.

    Honestly one of the most beautiful and complete games I have ever played it's a lovely experience start to finish and has a level of polish other games just don't match. This is modern gaming done right and pretty much perfect.

    In all honesty, haven't played a better game since God of war 1.
    Great story, great graphics and the gameplay is just a sick as in GOW1.

    I might add that I'm a fan of the series, but I never rate games. Made an exception for this one.

    Outstanding story, more of the same action but with more polish. If you enjoyed the first then this will lure you in exactly the same way. Can't wait for new game plus!

    The intro is amazing, really fast pace, it doesn't waste time to get the story going. The environments is vast and beautiful. I only wish this game was built for the PS5 as some of the textures and graphics looks like a PS4 game which it was built for that first. If you loved the previous game this is must, its a must buy!!

    One of the best games I've played this year and will probably sweep the end of year game awards along with Elden Ring. The narrative is extremely well done and the performances are truly great from pretty much every person in the game. It's a great sequel and answers all the questions that were posed by the previous game.     Simply phenomenal. It somehow manages to improve on everything from God of War(2018) and offers some of the best story telling in gaming with just incredible presentation, animations, voice acting, soundtrack, gameplay, etc. I could rave about everything. I think this is officially the best God of War ever made and it’s not close.

    As a fan of the previous game, I didn't think a sequel could surpass it. Oh how wrong I was. God of War: Ragnarok ups the stakes, action, and emotion all the way up to 11. The story and characters are phenomenal and improve upon the original in every way. The visuals are once again striking and the action is upped thanks to new gods to fight and enemy varieties, although the rest of theAs a fan of the previous game, I didn't think a sequel could surpass it.     An improvement over the first game in almost every sense, Although they are trying to achieve very different things. The first one was more self contained and about kratos and atreus forming their bond and kratos trying to sever the wrongdoings of his past. This one is much more about the future and the inevitablility of prophecy. The nine realms are a great world to traverse in. My favorite was Vanaheim. I would say almost everything in this game is superb besides a small but annoying problem with the combat, that sometimes you are stuck in an attack animation and the enemy keeps on his attack which makes it feel just stupid and not fair, But this is so small I wouldn't put a knock on the game over it. A masterpiece and highly reccomended!… Expand

The story recap on the title screen of Ragnarok is a little underwhelming. The graphics, gameplay and story are AAA state of the art. The level designs are clever.     Let me start by saying, this is ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I have played.

    One the story front, it’s a direct continuation of the 2018 God of War game. So the initial moments does feel like the game you have already played, but once it takes off and new game-play elements are introduced it just feels fresh. To put it simply it’s a great story overall to experience that I won’t spoil further.    Let me start by saying, this is ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I have played.

    One the story front, it’s a direct continuation of the 2018 God of War game. So the initial moments does feel like the game you have already played, but once it takes off and new game-play elements are introduced it just feels fresh. To put it simply it’s a great story overall to experience that I won’t spoil further. The game is a graphical powerhouse on PS5, some designs like the Frozen Lake of Nine, Sindri's House, The Wall in Asgard etc are standout in my memory. Game play is total fun, some light puzzle elements for cool down time and the hack-slash combat is so much enjoyable to play. It really improves over the first game with lots of new enemy types, boss and mini-boss battles. Game has very nice difficult setting (I Played on Normal / Give me Balance) where the enemies provide a decent challenge, but if you do fair amount of Side missions / Favors and get gear upgrades, enemies are lot easier to defeat. The climax sequence for some non-stop action, that was epic. Main background score is retained from last game, which was great already hence no complaints. It’s a game with lots of cinematic elements where you see lots of cut-scenes, QTE in between which I enjoy actually; I understand some people may not like these.

    There are a couple of missions where we play as Atreus that slightly drags and feels lengthy, which is the only complaint for me in this game. But in the overall scheme of things, it’s minor and negligible.

    Just like the previous game, loved the way the side missions / favors are designed where you don't have go too much out of your path to play these and are nicely fit into the Areas you visit during story missions. Another great thing is the game’s attention the Lore. People who have read about Norse mythology will appreciate the game even more. All the dialogues during our travel between missions add so much detail and importance to the story, something which I truly admired.

    Overall it’s a fantastic journey to experience on the PS5. If you are a fan of the 2018 game, just do yourself a favor and BUY THIS GAME RIGHT NOW!    … Expand

    From the gameplay to the acting and graphical performance of this game, everything is just truly outstanding. One of the few games to actually get me emotional towards the end, not to mention want to continue playing well past the end credits. An absolute masterpiece.

    How does this game have an average 7.9?!

    Not only is it better than the first but it **** all over any Marvel or DC film in terms of storytelling, character development and cinematics. BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVEN’ T ALREADY !!!!

    Rarely do we see a sequel not only live upto its predecessor but exceed all levels, exploring 9 realms there is so much to see, so much lore, so much activities, all sorts of new enemies including dragons, berserker etc, enhanced gameplay, post ending content, its like i could play 100+ hours

The cinematics offering the powerful narrative load of the story with playable sequences, the graphic level of characters and higher levels are better.     I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
