    This is my 3rd playthrough of a single open world game which I’ve never done before… not even a second, but this title keeps me coming back. Without the DualSense & visual upgrades, I wouldn’t have picked this up for a third trip, but the game feels fresh & more immersive with the Japanese lip sync this time around. I’m enjoying everything about the upgrade. Well worth my money!

    Experiencing this masterpiece again on the PS5! This is a must play, even a must see for the non gamers in the household. Incredible art design, music and gameplay brings Tsushima to life. Tsushima is the real protagonist and the story although easy to figure out culminates in an absolutely amazing way. You will not be disappointed in the Masterpiece or art.

    Sucker Punch has managed to make my favorite game of all time EVEN better. The graphics have definitely improved a bit and Iki Island is amazing. Highly Recommend.

    I was fortuitous enough to experience Sucker Punch’s newest IP last year in the form of Ghost Of Tsushima, and my love with it was near instantaneous, with the game pairing immerse combat, a vast, beautiful world, and an enthralling narrative together in ways that few open-world titles have successfully accomplished to date. Immediately smitten I found myself search every nook and crannyI was fortuitous enough to experience Sucker Punch’s newest IP last year in the form of Ghost Of Tsushima, and my love with it was near instantaneous, with the game pairing immerse combat, a vast, beautiful world, and an enthralling narrative together in ways that few open-world titles have successfully accomplished to date. Immediately smitten I found myself search every nook and cranny for nuggets of storytelling, of lore and hints at the broader world of 1274 Tsushima, and the Sakai clan, so when the Director’s Cut was announced, with new story DLC in tow, it was exactly what this fan was looking for. Now that it’s here, it’s not at all unreasonable to conclude that the tales of Iki island have further enhanced one of 2020’s finest titles, while some smart quality of life additions improve the core game significantly as well.… Expand

    I bought this and am enjoying it. Do I agree with paying the price, well yes otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. For all those saying Sony should do this free, obviously have never ran a business. I don't expect Ford to give me a free car when mine is updated to the next model, I end up having to purchase a new one. If you like it buy it if not shut up about what they should be doing.

    Sad that this is getting review bombed, this is legitimately my favorite single player experience of all time. The DLC is only 20 dollars and adds tons of cool new **** and an entire new region on the map to explore. The base game had 3 regions and cost 60 dollars, so paying $20 for a whole new region kind of adds up in that regard and personally I think it was very worth it (been playingSad that this is getting review bombed, this is legitimately my favorite single player experience of all time. The DLC is only 20 dollars and adds tons of cool new **** and an entire new region on the map to explore.     Amazing experience, loved the story, sound and haptics.
    The little improvements in the game and new additions made the game a lot more enjoyable. After playing Iki Island I had to go for the Platinum...most beautiful open world game so far.

    Even better than the original! Incredible game, looks and feels great and the DLC is sufficiently long and well worth it. I am sure the "0" scores are from people that haven't played it because they don't have a PS5 ( Xbox loyalists, lol -always happens). Downside? it's freaking $70...

    There’s a lot of review bombing obviously haters and xbox fans. Get this game. It’s a masterpiece and it’s so beautiful and the gameplay is so fluid it’s insane. The new expansion is a great addition worth every penny.

    It's an amazing game simple as. The story, the graphics, the combat, all next level. The landscape is gorgeous. Interesting characters. The continued support from the developers as well needs to be commended. They've done an excellent job addressing issues and implementing new improvements. The DLC too is excellent.

    One of the best games out there right now that should have get the GOTY.
    The story, atmosphere and landscape are unique, the freedom of the game in every corner of the map is just perfect!

    No spoilers but after paying for the PS4 upgrade, I’m only being offered to buy the digital PS5 version of the game at full price even though I own the PS4 disk and now own the DC paid for DLC. I’m not criticising the game for having paid for DLC but I feel the whole upgrade process is just a cash grab as I already own the game but to unlock those PS5 controller features I need to re-buyNo spoilers but after paying for the PS4 upgrade, I’m only being offered to buy the digital PS5 version of the game at full price even though I own the PS4 disk and now own the DC paid for DLC.     Sucker Punch this is amazing!!! Iki Island was very surprised and fascinated by the level of training. Toughened directing, new activities, new enemies, new characters. Everything is fine from start to finish. Well, for the personal history of Jin, a separate bow and a haiku in your honor. Overwhelmed with emotions, you guys are cool)) The only unpleasant moment is Sony's strange pricingSucker Punch this is amazing!!!     The DLC was more than I could’ve asked for, not only an interesting location with more intrigue to Jin Sakai, the villain wasn’t that bad, I enjoyed what they had brought to the table. The Easter eggs are a lovely welcome, new ability and more animations? I love that. Thank you so much for giving us a lot for such a good price. Thank you sucker punch!!!

    I bought the DLC with the ps5 upgrade and its a GAME changer. 3D Audio is so impressive for this game, Haptic Feedback makes every blade strike feel real, moving around and horse riding is a blast, even putting your sword back in its sheath feels real. you can feel the steel go inside the hollow case. its so real. The 4k resolution looks beautiful on my OLED tv, its so beautiful in HDR. and those are just some of the ps5 improvements. its 60fps at 4k, amazing.
    the DLC itself is so good, so much new stuff. new ways to play, just brilliant. i wont spoil anything. play it yourself.    … Expand

    Sad to see many fanboys of other platforms trashing a game they’ve never even played. Ghost of Tsushima was one of the best titles of 2020 and it just got so much better. The new DLC is long and beautiful. Exploring the world was as fun and exciting as the first time. Thank you SP

    Only reason some people are trying to hype this game is up is because of "muh exclusives", if it wasn't exclusive hardly anyone would care about this game, maybe small group of people, but that's it. I absolutely love Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 and i also play on PC, but i deeply hate when some people hype some games up, just cause they are "exclusive".     The graphics and gameplay are great and unique. New dlc has a good and fascinating story. It has a higher value than the regular version.

    The PS4 Version was already great, but the features of the PS5 makes Jins adventures way more immersive. I can only recommend the Director's Cut.

    Metacritic needs the regulate the critic bombing from angry people :/

    Well done update for a great game. Lots of new content is complemented by a ton of new gameplay elements. More content was missing from the basic game, otherwise there was nothing to complain about. And now everything is fine. Reason to buy Playstation 5 if you don't already have one.

    Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut has improved the graphic of the game greatly. The newly added Iki Island brings new stories and challenges, and further extended the story background. For players who have already cleared the game, playing the Director's Cut version is still an unforgettable experience.

    It’s more of a regular DLC paired with some improvements for the PS5 rather than a true director’s cut. However, the developers do deserve praise for how skillfully they inserted the expansion into the narrative of the base game. The story about Jin’s past and the sins of ancestors is great (as opposed to boring side quests), new enemies pose a challenge, and the game as a whole shines on PS5’s more powerful hardware. I wish the visual improvements were more noticeable though. [11/2021, p.31]
