    Please for the love of god play the demo first and dont let them tell you that it is any different than that and then you make your decision whether you want to play a movie or a game. This is literally point A to point B there is not even an effort to tell you otherwise. The story is great but the game is a INTERACTIVE MOVIE please dont waste your 80 FREAKING DOLLARS on this unless youPlease for the love of god play the demo first and dont let them tell you that it is any different than that and then you make your decision whether you want to play a movie or a game. This is literally point A to point B there is not even an effort to tell you otherwise.     Este FFXVI es una auténtica joya que trae un poco de aire fresco a la saga, con unos personajes espectaculares, una paisajes preciosos y un combate espléndido,

    Great game. Would rate a 9 if not for review bombing. Side quests in the first half are mostly mediocre, and the pacing could be better, but the story and gameplay are great.

    Everything about this game has been great. Story, VA, music, etc. The combat is extremely riveting & fun to find all the different combination/chains. If I were to have one complaint it would be the lack of a mini map, but that's me being nitpicky. Seriously, I think this is one of the best installments to date!

    Final fantasy xvi non è un gioco perfetto ma è comunque un grandissimo gioco, la rinascita per final fantasy e il migliore capitolo dal x dopo i terribili xiii e xv; anche se sarà divisivo e verrà amato o odiato dalla maggior parte dei giocatori. Pro: storia, personaggi e scrittura, Combat sistem divertente e appagante, Grafica e comparto artistico.

    Caveat - there may well be a lot of people new to final fantasy or even some fans who can find the fun in this game and judge it for what it is. I, however, can't. I am judging it on what it is not. Normally I'd suggest not to do this and to judge something on its own merit. The difference here is this game is called final fantasy 16.     And it's biggest problem is the patronising lip service it's trying to show it's older fans. If this game scrapped the shallow and awful character upgrade system and concentrated on being an action game with no rpg elements at all it may have been better. I'll end with this. For those of use who loved final fantasy and adored the depth of its upgrade systems and strategical pseudo-turned based combat, this game is not for you. Love to you all    … Expand

    Incredible game - best FF since X. And I’ve been playing the series my whole life. The story and music alone make it top tier. Annoyed at the stupid review bombing on here - this is one of the best games of the year, easily.

When I seen the game was 15 dollars CAD more then Elden ring I thought the game must be huge with great FPS but I was wrong. It's not a rpg it's a game with a bunch of small stages and a boss. Actually more watching a movie and you get to play the action scenes. Elden ring has 20 times more equipment, items, customization, exploration and a combat that will keep engaged. This game got no exploration. Just because you go 5 second to the left or to the right of the beaten path is not exploration. Most times you only find 3 gil for exploring. Hav'nt finished the game but it says I'm 58 percent finished. I died once and that was due not paying attention to my health because I still had full potions. It's a good game for what it is but in no way should of it been 15 dollars more then Elden ring. It's ridiculous. It's just not that special to be the most expensive triple A base game version. I still can't believe they never added any extra secret dungeons or super bosses to test your skills. With all the money there charging for such a small world I expected more… Expand

However, they suffered with this issue much more than FFXVI. They have vast open worlds with plenty of treasure chests to unlock, yet all these chests offer are crafting materials and breakable equipment. Where's the 'meaningful' reward?

    Regarding side quests, Final Fantasy as a series always gets criticism for its lack of substance. I personally didn't mind them in this game though. They added depth to side characters and conveyed aspects of the lore in a more engaging way. They are comparable to those in Diablo IV, which again, I didn't mind.

    The story here is one of Final Fantasy's best. The characters are well thought out and have incredible depth. The combat is exhilarating. I can't for the life of me understand why so called 'Final Fantasy fans' want the same game over and over again. The thought of yet another AAA series going in the same direction as Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty and FIFA should be enough to give any serious gamer nightmares.

    My only real critique for FFXVI is the lack of RPG-ness. Fundamentally it's an action game. It leans heavily into that genre, too much I would say.    … Expand

    Best soundtrack, best story, best voice acting, best combat.

    The series is back.

    I wish they could develop better sidequest lines, but some of them are fine. They are in general too simples. But, despite that, the game is perfect in every way.

    There is a clear demarcation between games and movies. Gameplay is the most important part of a game, accounting for about 60% of the score, while external graphics and music can only score 40% at most. These 3 points are for cutscenes and animations.The gameplay is terrible, I give 0 points.

    O jogo é muito bom, A história é boa, os gráficos muito bons. Quando a queda de FPS, como estou jogando no modo que prioriza gráficos, não esta me incomodando.

    For long final fantasy fan I think this game is amazing.

    Battle: I like the battle here as it's polished action based with RPG elements, compare it to FF XV this one more mature than that World/World map is great, I won't put any spoilers here but for some people it's like corridor style, I understand that point of view however this one much better than vacant world map like final    For long final fantasy fan I think this game is amazing.

    To compare with FF XVI WAYYYY MUCH BETTER THAN FF XII to be honest..

    For some FF "Fans" who put low score I believe whatever SE try to do you will always give 0 because they never tired to complaints, futuristic world (we don't need this futuristic **** it's not FF), Turn based RPG (Turn based is outdated, give us more freedom and actions), more actions (this things is crap we want turn based RPG), World map like FF XV (bloody vacant world, why you give us crap like this), wide area to explore but not world map (bloody hell this one is corridor what are you doing developers?)

    It brings the magic back to final fantasy. Combat is amazing and so is the story. Love the character development and the progression though the big zones. This final fantasy feels darker than others with the tone of the story and the gravity of the situation. Enjoy this masterpiece.

    Great game but they promised heavy inspiration from FFT and FFXII. But the only elements from those games is the shared universe. No job system, no real gear diversity, no meaningful ability point allocation. This is not an RPG in the sense that you cannot really build your own flavor of character. It's a cool action game that feels pretty but shallow.

The game has some flaws for sure, it’s not too deep on the rpg side of the action rpg genre but the action is phénoménal. Realistically the combat is as complex as you want to make it which works with all levels of gamers. If you came into this expecting less cutscenes then I presume you also walk into Pizza Hut and get disappointed when they don’t have steak and cheese subs. The story is very well done and really captivating. The side quests feel a bit MMO style to me, which is not great but they pick up towards the middle of the game and really help with world building. The game is not open world, but does a good job breaking the zones apart in a way that doesn’t feel tight, and doesn’t really reward exploration which I feel they could have done a better job at. Overall, it’s a great game with tons of fun elements that give final fantasy fans something to be excited about. I would give this game a 9/10 as a solid new installment in the final fantasy series, they continue to do what everyone loves and give us a fresh take on the series. I rated it a 10 here specifically to offset some of the miserable, insufferable people who gave “0”s to a game that was clearly developed with a lot of passion and love.     I really wish they stayed with the combat from ff remake. This is a dumbed down version and its terrible. also peformance mode is not good

    Final Fantasy XVI is an excellent game in every way. If you're a fan of the series for the stories and characters, you won't go wrong here, and if you've avoided the series for, say, turn-based combat, the sixteenth installment offers the perfect opportunity to get started with this legend of the gaming industry.     New numbered FFs are good again. Stunning to look at, with new, punchy combat, and a great yarn, it is, if anything, too focussed, lacking a bit of the weird. [Issue#30, p.78]
