    This game shows high quality everywhere you look from big set pieces to amazing story, . Combat its fresh and amzing with many types of attacks that youbcan choose . Graphics are impressive and beautiful .truly a masterpiece

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Best Final Fantasy game within the franchise! Definitely should get dlc and add more content. Peak fiction with story, characters, (especially Cid!) GAMEPLAY, the fight scenes and level of feats performed in the eikon and boss battles are INCREDIBLE! SQUARE ENIX LIVES!!! I hope this game gets future content and we get to beat the likes of Yojimbo, Leviathan, Anima, & Gilgamesh. Maybe even Warrior of Light. Regardless, the world of 16 is engaging. I also would like to point out that I hope there’s a patch that upgrades the frame rate focus. It has drops here and there. Nevertheless, great game. Definitely a GOTY level game. Better than every other game out right now aside from Zelda.… Expand

    The team that bought you Final Fantasy XIV delivers once again with XVI! A completely new combat system designed by DMC lead designer is exceptional.

    The scale of the Eikon battles are jaw dropping!

    The story does dip a little at times but does enough to keep you wanting to play. Along with the beautiful soundtrack by Soken it truly is a masterpiece.

    Incredible game!

    Beautiful action combat, interesting characters with deep backgrounds, immersive lore and fantastic world to explore. Linear yes, but in a great, concise and thoughtful way. 10/10. My game of the year so far hands down. Stands with the greats of the FF series and the JRPG genre as a whole.

    Wow, I played the demo (the first 2 hours) and was already captivated by the characters and world. Pre-ordered it and was not dissapointed, what a ride. Cinematics are beautiful, story is good and the combat is satisfying. MUST PLAY!!!

    Absolute 10/10. Best boss fights I have ever played in a video game. As a person who has played almost every mainline Final Fantasy game, the story is fantastic and could not feel MORE like Final Fantasy, despite what other seemingly newer players to the franchise say.

    Soken does is an absolute miracle worker with the soundtrack for this game. His reach and versatility truly feel    Absolute 10/10. Best boss fights I have ever played in a video game. As a person who has played almost every mainline Final Fantasy game, the story is fantastic and could not feel MORE like Final Fantasy, despite what other seemingly newer players to the franchise say.

The combat system is extremely fun and customizable with many playstyles available to the player. For the people saying that the combat makes Final Fantasy, there hasn't been a true turn based combat system in 20 years. Final Fantasy's trademark at this point is different combat systems and story styles/settings, and this certainly delivers a new and different gameplay experience for the series. Characters are extremely loveable and you feel very connected with them throughout the entire game. In short, I cannot think of a game that you would be happier with purchasing.    … Expand

    One of the best final fantasy games ever, anyone who says otherwise has either not played it or is biased in some way. Most likely a man child who review bombs games for fun cause they’re mentally a 10 year old

    This is one of the greatest quality games I've played in a very long time. The story was great albeit a very classical light vs dark, good vs. evil, moral vs. immoral, dilemma-type troupe. ABSOLUTELY VISUALLY SPECTACULAR. it's been a whole minute since I last saw something in a game pull off cinematics that truly show off the scale at which the enemies you're facing actually appear. EvenThis is one of the greatest quality games I've played in a very long time. The story was great albeit a very classical light vs dark, good vs. evil, moral vs. immoral, dilemma-type troupe. ABSOLUTELY VISUALLY SPECTACULAR. it's been a whole minute since I last saw something in a game pull off cinematics that truly show off the scale at which the enemies you're facing actually appear. Even God of war Ragnarok didn't do as good of a job as this one and I LOVED RAGNAROK. I suspect this will be a substantial contender for GOTY. at the least best original story, best original music soundtrack, best character design, best action RPG nominations AT LEAST, if not more.     Truthfully I’ve been patiently awaiting the release of this game as a big FF fan and have kept up with the many criticisms and complaints that people had previous to launch; I just have to say CBU3 DELIVERED with this game. It is beautiful, the story and lore are indulgent, the combat is fun and exciting, and the musical elements, gameplay, and over all essence of a Final Fantasy game isTruthfully I’ve been patiently awaiting the release of this game as a big FF fan and have kept up with the many criticisms and complaints that people had previous to launch; I just have to say CBU3 DELIVERED with this game.     This game really gave me goosebumps. It was one of the best games I've played this year, except for the performance issue on the ps5. I am also very satisfied with the straight progression, but it could have been a little more open to exploration. excellent game.

    I have played most FF games, my favorite genre is RPG and I've been playing FFXIV since 2013, when i heard that CBU3 was in charge of 16 i was at ease since i know that they are good at what they do, but oh boy, since FF16 came out i cant think of anything else, every other game i try to play doesn't feel the emptiness of not playing FF16, i find no joy in playing Diablo IV due to FF16,I have played most FF games, my favorite genre is RPG and I've been playing FFXIV since 2013, when i heard that CBU3 was in charge of 16 i was at ease since i know that they are good at what they do, but oh boy, since FF16 came out i cant think of anything else, every other game i try to play doesn't feel the emptiness of not playing FF16, i find no joy in playing Diablo IV due to FF16, the combat is the best one in a FF series, you actually feel powerful not just some dude fighting against the world.… Expand

    Major improvement in combat and story from previous games. I know the combat isn’t turn-based but it’s extremely fun and there isn’t too much to the point it’s annoying or a burden. The story is captivating and unique with many outstanding characters. Would have liked to see more expansive lore and less fetch quests but it’s still a great game that has kept me occupied for 5 straight days.Major improvement in combat and story from previous games.     Fantastic game that successfully continues the final fantasy torch in innovation and storytelling. Great game, I was in tears and captivated by the beauty of this game. This was a very unique experience in gaming for me. (I am a huge fan of RPGs and narrative driven games).

    Takes very little time to get used to, though the combat can be too easy unless you make sure to unequip the rings that make it so. Story is incredible though and game overall great.

    As a long time fan of the series I played this entry with an open mind to its approach in a Final Fantasy game and I throughly enjoyed it. Even with my little experience in fast paced action combat I was able to quickly get in the groove without the rings. The story kept me intrigued all the way to the end. I was happy to see all the staples of final fantasy games.     This game will be the next goty for sure. Outstanding visuals and combats. If you are with any doubt about play it, give a chance and ignore the players that just see it from the youtube. This is definety a final fantasy game.

If you're a fan of the series for the stories and characters, you won't go wrong here, and if you've avoided the series for, say, turn-based combat, the sixteenth installment offers the perfect opportunity to get started with this legend of the gaming industry.
