    Just started playing FF16 and it is great. I’m not kidding, it’s REALLY great. Great gameplay, fantastic graphics, a intriguing story, great mechanics, and overall, if there is any Final Fantasy game that you should start playing other than FF7 Remake and FF15, this is your best bet. I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

    Absolutely amazing game, only people who hate this are losers who want their idiotic turn based combat back. Well guess what, you can't get it back, deal with it.

    on etait prévenu est square enix nous a offert le jeux que le studio nous avais promis un jeux tres action avec des combats de primordial dantesque j ai acheté ce ff16 en connaissance de cause et je ne suis pas deçus. apres je peux comprendre que les gens soit frustré de ce jeux tres action mais vous etiez prévenu donc saccagé la note pour ça ces nul.

    So far, best game of 2023! Second place goes to Resident Evil 4 Remake and third place....maybe Dead Space Remake. I personally don't care for Baldur's Gate, mostly because it has outdated 90s combat and zelda also never interested me. Hogwarts Legacy was decent, possibly my 4th place this year and then....Jedi Survivor. But all that can still change, because there's tons of great gamesSo far, best game of 2023!     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Another disappointing entry since FFXIII and another AAA bumble that shows how far the gaming industry has fallen.
    Visuals are fine I guess though the facial expressions of characters remains unchanged since the PS3 era. Music is mostly good with highs and lows. Story is somehow better since the Devs understood that they don't need to shy away from mature themes and presentation. Still underdeveloped though.
    Characters are mostly empty husks except for Clive and Cid and that is very obvious with Jill that simply exists in the game just for the hero to have the most boring romance ever made in a videogame. The fact that you don't have a proper team like every other mainline entry to follow you at all times doesn't help either.
    Combat is one of its strongest points, indeed plays like DMC but suffers from the fact that it takes too long to acquire new Eikons which give you new abilities to experiment. Areas are either straightforward or some semi open spaces that offer nothing for those who search every nook and cranny. Just empty MMO garbage with a bit of FFXIII feel.
    As for it's best aspect, that is the main story boss battles that look and play gorgeously, even the Eikon battles that don't exactly offer any difficulty or skill to prevail, just spectacle. It's probably the easiest FF I ever played and even action mode(normal) offers almost no challenge at all.
    It's worst aspect and that which infuriated me the most are the unnecessary and immensely boring side quests (around 100 of those, excluding monster hunts) that along with some tedious story moments made progress a slog. Around 50% of the main story I started skipping every cut scene from the side quests. Videogames are meant to be fun above everything else and to me it felt like doing work/chore of the worst kind. Game Devs, we don't need an RPG to be a 100 hours long to think that our money is well spent. With 30 hours of quality we're content, something you don't seem to understand and for that you'll eventually go out of business. Fun and escapism are the key words,got it?

    PS. People who give FFXVI 0-1 are dumb, but those who it 9-10 are window lickers and paid shills and deserve every garbage AAA title that comes their way. As for me this Final Fantasy is the Final nail in the coffin, I've had enough really.    … Expand

    Final Fantasy 16 has honorable qualities. But I feel it's the most overrated game of 2023. Most of its flaws (and it has many) would never have been tolerated on a game called "Fall of Crystals" and designed by a random studio.

    I love the work that Noaki Yoshida and his teams have done on Final Fantasy 14, but my admiration for them shouldn't blind me to criticism.

    Another Excellent entry into the Final Fantasy series. It may be different from previous titles but the story really carries the experience. The inspirations from Game of thrones couldn't be any more obvious. Can't wait for the DLC that was just announced!

    It is a great game, the combat is nice and the new update makes the game more vivid.

    Excelente game, enredo extremamente bem elaborado porém totalmente necessário assistia às CGs para entender a história o que agrega em muitas horas de jogo o que para mim foi excelente. Minha crítica vai para os personagens que tem expressões robóticas feitas manualmente e acabam não trazendo o sentimento do personagem.

    One of the best final fantasy games, I'm from the 80's first RPGs, I was a bit skeptical about the Battle system, but it delivers amazing, and the story and soundtrack are overkill

    just about to give up on any fun ps5 games this year and along comes this well done work of gaming. If you buy it you can get to the final boss, unlike most games today.

    I'm playing this game since ps1, except ff 11, I played all of them, it's not a 10 compare to final fantasy, also it has some issue with frame rate and it's noticeable, also most of sub quests are not worthy to try, but ff 16 has the best story telling of the history. Another think gameplay isn't like any final fantasy, but it's awesome.

    The first thing I have ever say is: don't waste your time and don't waste your money with this fake game
    The reason is the ridiculous gameplay button smashing, and the BORING and anonymous story.
    The graphics is late old gen, on the same level of a PS4 porting, but with terrible framerates drop and popup.
    And in the end I'm severely disappointed by this FF

    Non ho mai provato un Final Fantasy per via della tipologia di gioco, mondo di gioco troppo grosso, troppe missioni e gameplay un pò complesso. Dopo aver visto che questo era più action e meno JRPG e la trama sembrava molto interessante e più matura, l'ho voluto provare.

    Tecnicamente il gioco è ben fatto, l'unica cosa che non convince granchè sono i movimenti dei personaggi durante i dialoghi. Per il resto non ho riscontrato bug o altri problemi. La grafica è piacevole, da il meglio di se durante gli scontri e le boss fight, dove c'è una quantità enorme di effetti di luce e particelle su schermo che riescono a mettere in difficoltà il frame rate facendolo scendere anche sotto i 30 fps.
    La trama è ben scritta, in alcune fasi è veramente emozionante e ti lascia a bocca aperta. La storia, comunque, viene spesso interrotta da missioni di minore importanza, che servono ad allungare un pò di più il gioco e alcune di esse sembrano essere un pò noiose e poco interessanti.
    Il gameplay e i combattimenti sono molto divertenti anche se la gestione dell'inventario e le abilità non sono granchè, alcuni oggetti sono inutili e i guill servono solo, per la maggior parte, a comprare le pozioni.
    La cosa che mi ha impressionato più di tutto sono le Boss fight, delle vere e proprie sequenze cinematografiche, il tutto accompagnato da una colonna sonora da pelle d'oca.
    Concludendo, nonostante sia il mio primo Final Fantasy, mi ha lasciato senza parole, la storia principale è un capolavoro, è una delle più belle che mi son goduto negli ultimi anni, e a me, soggettivamente, è quello che conta di più in un videogioco insieme al gameplay. Perciò si merita un bel 9, poteva raggiungere la perfezione ma purtroppo ha anche vari difetti. Diventa così, il mio primo Final Fantasy, uno dei miei giochi preferiti di questa generazione, tant'è che l'ho dovuto rigiocare una seconda volta.    … Expand

    This is a great ff game. I love the medieval setting and how it’s an arpg. It feels great and plays great. I would highly recommend Al anyone and everyone play it.

    Final Fantasy XVI is an excellent game in every way. If you're a fan of the series for the stories and characters, you won't go wrong here, and if you've avoided the series for, say, turn-based combat, the sixteenth installment offers the perfect opportunity to get started with this legend of the gaming industry.     New numbered FFs are good again. Stunning to look at, with new, punchy combat, and a great yarn, it is, if anything, too focussed, lacking a bit of the weird. [Issue#30, p.78]
